  1. 1. The first time I went out en femme. 2. Never, by this time I was out anyway so it was not so much "getting caught" more like being seen. 3. Trying to catch the no.26 bus in Hackney. 4. I don't really wear platforms but I slipped in ASDA once on a grape and landed on my arse. 5. "About time too!" 6. Never been too much of a problem but I did hide in my friend's car when I was wearing a pink and white polka dot dress when everyone else were wearing jeans...

  2. bollocks, I like that term.... sf

It's in common use here in the UK. It's used as an exclamation when something goes wrong or it's used to convey the fact that someone is being less than honest: "Oh Bollocks! That shouldn't have happened." and "I think you're talking total bollocks mate!" respectively.

  3. Making footwear to order is never an easy matter. It is fine when you're turning out 100,000 pairs at a time but when you're making every pair by hand it is far more difficult. Sometimes you have to wait for materials or components and some suppliers are notorious for being awkward. In some cases you have to order huge multiples of something you only need one pair of. Heels for example have to be ordered by the hundred so if you only need one pair it will cost you £200 just for the heels. For this reason many manufacturers like to consolidate items going through the factory, this also saves time in setting up machines etc. Say you order a pair of thigh boots and at that time they're making sandals, then they're going to wait until they have more thigh boot orders before they start on yours. The minimum number in most cases is 6 pairs.

  4. Actually, the 50s saw a revival of that style. My Nan wore seams and heels in the 30s as well as the 50s. During WWII many [british] women stained their legs with gravy browning and drew a seam up the back with a brown eye pencil to mimic the effect of silk seamed stockings.

  5. I would just like to add that many people acquaint heel wearing with homosexuality, which of course is total bollocks! Perhaps he's scared you're going to make a pass at him.

  6. I have been living as a female for well over a year. All my health records indicate that I am female*, HMRC know me as female and know one at work has ever met the male me. I even have a male partner. If anyone (other than a genetic female) has the right to say "I am female" then it's me but I am quite happy to have the "I am Male" tag. Why? Because it's the rule. The problem is, if we allow post-ops the female tag, we should allow non-ops. If we allow non-ops then we should allow pre-ops. If we allow pre-ops then we should allow FTVs, if we allow FTVs then we should allow part-timers. If we allow part-timers then we have to allow occasional dressers. If we allow them then skirt wearers have to be allowed as well... Oh yes, welcome to the forum BTW! *The pathology lab rang my GP in a panic to tell him that my testosterone levels were extremely high and that I should make my way to the hospital for further tests ASAP. He told them that I am a non-op transexual and not to worry. They are below average for a man.
