Well today, I took it to a new level, but had help in doing so. I have a pair of brown 1-1/4 wedge heels from Aerosoles called Songbook (http://www.aerosoles.com/eng/product/songbook/songbook). When I wear them with my jeans it is hard to know they are womens heels. The great thing is my wife doesn't mind me wearing these out. I knew today most of the office would be out and since I didn't have any appointments, I was going to work in jeans and a polo shirt. As I was about to put on my regular guy shoes, I figured why not have some fun and see if the secretary would notice them. I quickly asked the wife if she had any objections to my plan and she responded "No".

I was the first one in the office at 6:30. The secretary came in at 7:00 and two more partners around 9:00 am. For most of the morning, I stayed in my office taking care of all those little things that just seem to pile up. Around noon, the other partners were out meeting clients for lunch. To my surprise, my wife stopped by to see if I was available for lunch. While she was waiting for me to get my keys, she started talking to the secretary. When I got to the front, my wife goes "I haven't seen you wear those shoes in a while" with an evil grin on her face. The secretary could not see from behind her desk at the time, but I knew she would now have to make an effort to see what my wife was talking about. My wife figured she would come by and help me get discovered since I've been talking about it with her for the last several weeks.

We had a great lunch and upon returning to the office, the wife again made the point to mention my shoes. Before I could say anything, the secretary stands up and asked to see these shoes my wife was talking about. With some ribbing from my wife, I pulled up my jeans to show off my heels and shaved legs. The secretary, with out missing a beat, replies "I've got a pair similar to that, but in black". After talking and laughing about it, we found out she is into the gothic scene outside of work. She said her friends, male and female, wear platform boots, so seeing me was "nothing new" for her. We all agreed some of the other partners wouldn't know how to react to this. I told her that one of the reasons I like to wear trouser socks and heels is it helps me relax when dealing with all the pressure of running a business. She suggested I do it more often at the office when the others are out if it really helps me. I'm not sure where this is going to go, but the fact that she and my wife are both OK with it gives me a sense of relief.

UPDATE #6 So I made it to February, and taking care of my legs has gotten to be routine. I'm still amazed on how great the feeling of wearing nylons with shaven legs is. I figure I will keep things going until the end of the month, then decide if I keep the legs clean full time, or let things go so the hairy legs will be seen this summer.

So today, I did not have red tights on (still need to buy them), but I had a gray pair on with my black shoes and gray pants. I did it on purpose to see if the secretary would attempt to "notice" again. I don't think she did because one of the other partners had her running all day making copies of a proposal he was attempting to get out the door before FedEx came. After the pickup, she left for a long lunch. I have meetings the next three days with clients, so I will not be wearing anything that can be viewed as questionable. The office is hoping to extend a contract with one of the clients, and in this economy, we really need it. I'm hoping on Friday, there will not be many people in the office. My wife suggested in her half joking half serious way that if I did not what to wait for her to purchase the red tights, I should wear a pair of shear black nylons with my pumps to the office in the morning. Her suggestion is making me think of a game plan. As for the boyfriend, she always said her date at the Christmas party was just a friend from school. She has no pictures on her desk of anyone.

Today at work I was "discovered" by the secretary. I was wearing black trouser socks with my regular black mens oxford dress shoes and black pants. While reading a horribly written proposal, I started to slouch at my desk which resulted in my my feet sticking out from under the desk. When she came into my office to give me more proposals, she looked at my feet she said "nice nylons". When the socks are pulled up they have a slight shear look to them. I must have turned red because she immediately followed up with "Its cool". I thought for a moment on how could I convince her they were just "thin socks". As I sat there going "uh, uh" attempting to say something, she asked if my wife knows I'm taking her things. I just started to laugh. She and my wife became very talkative at the Christmas party after a few glasses of wine. Guessing my wife may have said something, or was asked something, I told her the truth, I just like the feeling of the trouser sock over regular cotton socks. She flashed me a great big smile and returned to her desk. When I got home and told my wife what happened, she too started to laugh. She told me that at the party, the secretary asked her if I was "different". She was convinced she saw me in tights once before. My wife said she just redirected the question and never answered it. I told her I want to get a pair of red tights and wear them at the office just to play some mind games with secretary. I'm hoping this will provide some great material for future posts.

Update #5 Two months and going strong, again. Last week I got the flu and was either in bed or on the sofa the whole time. Needless to say, the legs did get a bit hairy. A thanks to HHBoots about the suggestion to try the Venus razor. The wife picked up a pack and we both like it. Much easier to use than the others.

*****trouser socks have become everyday "lady" items I now wear. Tights and nylons are a near second. In private, I will wear either a skirt or jean leggings with my heels.

UPDATE #4 So I've been at this for about 5 1/2 weeks now and loving it. It's the longest I have ever gone, and since I like it so much, I've started to reduce the overall amount of body hair I have. I'm one of those guys who has more hair on his chest and back than on my head. But this update isn't about my efforts, it is more of an observation I had yesterday while at work. I had to complete some end of the year reports for our clients. When I was done, I went over to StarBucks, got a cup of coffee and sat down at one of the tables outside to read some proposals. Soon after an older guy who has an office in the same building sat down. We gave the typical guy hello head nod and continued on with what we were reading. After a few minutes, he introducted himself and we had a pleasant conversation. During the conversation I began to noticed how unkept his appearance was. The guy had to be in is mid to late 60's, over weight and balding. I can not say anything about the balding since I am going down that path. But what got my attention was how long his hair was in back. His eyebrows were furry caterpillars with hairs sticking out and his ears were about as bad as his eyebrows. While his appearance may be repulsive to some, I can say he is a very happy man with a great wife, kids, and grandkids. What struck me is how certain activities we do to maintain a particluar look become so common place. There I was sitting with a guy who clearly had not been to a barber in months (or years?) and I take a few minutes each day to shave my legs to keep them smooth and tirm the rest of my hair to keep a certain "clean cut" look. It was one of those moments that reminded me of the saying "To each there own".

Update #3 I've been "hairless" for about four weeks now and have gotten into a daily routine of shaving any spots that feel rough. I would say it only takes me an additional five minutes in the shower each day to do this. As stated in the previous update, my in-law's are staying with us for Christmas. Normally I don't get a chance to wear any heels while they are here. I was lucky the other day when they took the kids out of the house. I borrowed one of my wifes shear black nylons and took the attached photos. The feeling of having shear nylons on is better than the tights I've been wearing lately. I'm thinking I need to wear the shear nylons under my pants while at work now.

Trouser socks and panties are becoming the norm for me. Some times nylons or tights under my pants. I also have a dress, jean leggings, and two long skirts but I only wear those when the kids are not around. At night, after they go to bed, I will put on my corset. I like the feeling of it squeezing me and how it makes me sit up when at the computer for many hours working.

UPDATE #2 So I've tied my record of keeping smooth legs, a whole two weeks. We're working in baby steps here. I've been using an Intuition razor in the shower about every other day, but wasn't happy with the fact I was missing spots on my legs. On Saturday (December 3rd) I used a regular razor and shaving cream in the shower. Got all of those hairs and stubble, but the razor rash on my thighs looks like a mine field of red bumps. And I even used a brand new razor blade. The good news is the wife was pleased with the feeling on the rest on my legs. Didn't get any chance to wear heels this past week. With getting ready for Christmas and the fact the in-laws will be with us for two weeks, I don't know if I'm going to get a chance between now and New Years. Oh well. I will have to heel "in spirit" when I wear trouser socks with my suits.

My wife knows and has helped me with selecting heels. Her only concern is I don't wear high heels in front of the kids.

UPDATE So it has been one week now, and a very interesting one at that. Thanksgiving morning is the first day my young kids noticed. They stated my legs were "different". By Friday, it didn't seem to phase them anymore. I did a quick shaved that Friday evening using a Schick Intuition razor. The wife said I was beginning to get a little stubble that she didn't like the feeling of. After taking care of that, we headed out for a well needed parents night out. I wore tights under my pants and it was a great feeling and I enjoyed not having to always be pulling them up. I didn't wear any heels. During our diner, I mentioned some of the comments others have made, and she suggested we try waxing, together. I'm still not sure if she is serious or joking. Anyway, we both want to do the lazer hair removal, but time and more importantly, money is something we don't have right now. I mentioned getting an epilator. She's investigating it. This morning is where it gets better. Enjoying my new found freedom, I figured I would take a chance and wear heels to the office today. I had to be in at 5:00 am for a conference call with some consultants who are on the east coast and no one is typically in at that hour. I drove to the office wearing black tights, the heels shown at the beginning of this thread and a dark blue suit. In a bag I had my regular dress shoes to change into should anyone be there. When I got to the parking lot, no other cars were there. I'm thinking this is great, both from the feeling of walking in heels with tights, but the fact no one will see me. I walk to the main door, enter my code, enter the lobby. Our office is part of a bigger two story office building. My heels started echoing off of the tile floor, but I figure there isn't anyone else in the building, so no big deal. For fun, I use the stairs and not the elevator. At the landing, I turn right and head down the hall to our office which is about 100 feet away. About half way between the landing and our office are the restrooms for the floor. As I get to our office door and take the keys out, a woman exits from the ladies room. She takes a quick look my way, waves hi and turns to walk the other way. I don't think she noticed my heels based on how casual she was. Regardless, my heart was up in my throat the second that door started to open. After she turned, I quickly entered our office. Seeing that no one was there, I kept the heels on during the conference call, and then changed to my regular shoes with it got close to the normal start time for everyone else. I'm hoping the consultants call for an other early morning conference call again. Given it is a week since I first shaved, I guess I'm half way to beating my old record of two weeks. So far, so good. I’ve noticed that on some threads, guys mention they would like to shave their legs, but are reluctant to do it for a variety of reasons. I figured I would use this thread as an opportunity to help myself meet my goal of maintaining smooth legs until at least February, but also to help those who are on the fence about shaving see it isn’t as big of an ordeal as one might think. I admit I’m a “winter shaver” since the majority of our community knows me with hairy legs. In the past, I would shave only to let everything go within a week. The longest I think I ever got was about two weeks. This time, with the support of my wife and from reading several threads on this site, I am hoping to keep my legs hair free until February. Why February? There is no real reason other than it is about three months away.

To help encourage others, I figure I will periodically post updates on what it takes to maintain smooth legs. I started on this journey Monday night (Nov. 21st) by removing the majority of the hair using a Norelco Body Groom electric razor. It took me about 30 minutes to completely shave both legs from toes to hips. The electric razor did leave a small stubble, but the sense of touch on my legs was amazing. I work in a conservative office where a coat and tie are standard. The feeling of the silk lining of my suit pants was amazing. On Tuesday night, I used a regular razor with shaving cream to remove the remaining stubble. Because I didn’t want to cut myself, I took my time working in small patches up each leg making sure I got everything. I would say I took about 45 minutes to do this. My wife recommended I rub moisturizing cream on my legs after showering, which I did, and I had no signs of “razor burn” on my legs. My wife was impressed with what a great job I did.

With the attached photos, you can see I don’t have the hairiest of legs, but enough to probably require some type of every other day maintenance. I guess that will be the subject of the next update. One interesting observation I had forgotten about is now much hair can cover old scars. Found a few that I forgot were there.

The first pair that I could consider my own were simple black 2 inch pumps that my wife purchased for me over 15 years ago. The first pair I purchased for myself were 6-inch thigh high stiletto boots. I don't have either of them now.

The majority of the time I am in the private catagory, but with a few outings in my 1-inch heels, I am looking to migrate into the discretion catagory.

Like many, my answer really depends on the view point of the question. I have walked in a pair of 6-inch thigh high boots, but not very well. I selected 3 to 4 inch for the pole because I want to be able to walk in heel without any problems. My wife told me to start small and work my way up. A 2.5-inch heel maybe considered to low for some, but I can now walk in them to the point the wife really doesn't notice a difference between my "man" shoes and the heels.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I agree with Shafted about the white shirt being bland with the leggings. It was the white tee shirt I wore under my dress shirt. I haven't had the time to look for a top that would go well with the leggings. Something to add to the "to do" list.

Was in Target the other day with my wife. We passed the shoes and they had these on Clearance for $7, and in my size. Glad she encouraged me to get them.

My true heel fetish took hold only a few years ago when my wife re-entered the work force. I started to look at what other women were wearing to get ideas for her since I wanted her to look good too. In doing so, I became very focused on the effects different heels would have on the look of an outfit. So I would say my heel fetish is admiring women in great looking heels, and the pleasure of wearing them too.

Like many others, I started with crossdressing. The clothing, wigs and other female shaping items came first and heels were a after thought. Over time I lost interest in dressing and found wearing heels around the house in my male clothing to be more enjoyable. My wife even became more supportive with the heel wearing than the crossdressing. She likes the way the heels shape my legs. I do wear nylons from time to time under my pants. I voted guy in heels, but every now and then, I feel the need to visit the feminine side of life.

I got home early from work the other day and had some free time to wear some of my heels. Normally when I get home, the kids are back from school, which limits my heel wearing to the late night hours while working at the computer. It was nice to walk around the house during the day. These are just some simple photos of what I changed into after getting out of my suit with the exception of the photo labeled "dress pants with heels". I wish I could wear this to the office. I work at a very conservative firm, so it is only a dream.

For the price listed on the website, are these heels something you really want to go walking in the snow with? My opinion is to save these for the summer when you can show off those nice panted toes.

While going through some old files for a project I am working on, I found a Los Angeles Times newspaper dated August 29, 1955 with the following ad on the center page. Looking at the styles in the ad makes one realize why some of these styles are call classics today.

I understand your position about shaving. I cann't, or should I say don't shave my legs during the summer months since everyone in our community knows me with hairy legs. I like your shiny lycra or spandex leggings. Have thought about getting a pair myself to wear during the summer time. Your shoes are great too.
