  1. If you can find high heeled wellies then you just need a pair of chest waders, rubber strips and some glue. Impact adhesive works well. Remove the wellies from the waders and replace with the heeled pair. It'd probably be easiest if you used neoprene waders as the donor as the boots will be attached to the neoprene rather than being in one piece.

  2. Lenora Critchlow (of Being Human) actually makes those look appealing. Although, I suspect it's more the fact that she's extremely attractive.

No, she doesn't. She's a very attractive girl but the boots still looked awful.

  3. Wonder no more, my aunt has arthritis and is unable to walk far. Because of this my uncle drove her and my cousins to the door of both the wedding and the reception so that they could help her. Rachel, whose shoes they are, probably walked about four metres that wasn't on carpet, and she's not had occasion to wear them since. This is why the soles look new.

  4. formallyknownas: No I didn't get to keep them, she just let me wear them for a while. Trolldeg: What would you suggest? Roniheels: It wasn't a formal dress, I can't really describe it, it was not quite rockabilly and not quite goth. It did look good with the shoes though. It wasn't that traditional a wedding, my wife's dress was black and I wore my New Rock Reactors with my suit. (Big stompy goth boots)

  5. My cousin wore these shoes to my wedding with a very nice black satin dress. I'd been admiring the shoes on the day, so went she came to visit recently she brought them up for me to try on. I couldn't resist getting a couple of pics while I was in them!

  6. Having originally professed to loathe them with a vengence I have since decided that the genuine ones aren't too bad, although I still think they look like you've gone out in your slippers. However I see a lot of girls wearing the cheap knock-offs where they're walking off the side of the heel and they look awful!

  7. I like all of them but generally prefer zipped or laced boots over pull-ons because they're more fitted. I have a pair of black suede knee boots that lace up with D-rings, they take a few minutes to get into but they're gorgeous to wear! I also love back-zipped boots but you don't see them often.

  8. I've always been a fan of M&S soft and glossy 20 denier, but they are no longer available in black and the "new and improved" ones are not as nice as they used to be. Can anyone suggest a good alternative? I have considered Wolford Neons having only heard good things, but am not sure I want to jump to £20 per pair unless I can be convinced that they are all that's wonderful.

  9. I voted for both, but I buy most of my heels on eBay and have gotten some real bargains. A lot of them are second hand, but I've never had a pair that's not been in good, clean condition, apart from one pair of boots which had obviously come from a smoking household. A few days outside got rid of the smoke smell, but I was a bit narked when they arrived, although I have only paid £5 for them. Possibly my best was a pair of black leather River Island stiletto calf boots with back zips. They're in their original box with all the packaging paper and spare heel tips, and look as they they've only been worn once. £12.

  10. For those having trouble with the original post, allow me to translate: Felicitations, I once again have access to the internet after a prolonged hiatus. A dear lady friend of mine was accompanying me on a journey through the fair city, and I remarked upon the grace with which certain young ladies walked in their beautiful high-heeled shoes. "I dislike such footwear" she remarked, "I find them a source of discomfort, and they cause my gait to resemble that of a baby giraffe." "Tish!" I retorted, "many ladies manage them so elegantly, surely the challenge cannot be so great?" "I propose a wager sir," she replied "I shall procure a pair of said shoes to your fitting, and we shall see how great the challenge of walking in them truly is." I accepted her wager with bravado, alas I am to pay for them as she is currently bereft of funds, however I have been secretly coveting a pair of most beautiful high heeled shoes and it is my fervent hope that it is those that she will purchase. It is with some shame that I admit the wager to not be an honest one, for I have been secretly wearing ladies' heels for some time, and am well practised.

  11. I love boots! My particular favourites are black leather knee-length ones but I also have several pairs of calf-length boots. It's too hard to pick a favourite pair, but my Faith Montreal knee boots are a strong contender. They have nearly five inch stiletto heels with a half-inch concealed platform and almond toes. They're very nice to wear, and I happened upon them by chance after an assistant in Faith suggested that I might like to try them on. She was right! My favourite calf boots are an easier choice. I found a pair from River Island on eBay, they're black leather with four and a half inch stiletto heels and pointed toes. They're plain leather apart from some decorative stitching, but they zip up at the back, and the zips have dangly silver pulls. The leather and the lining are very soft, and I love the back zips. In fact I like them so much so that when I found a second pair I bought those too.

  12. I tend to agree. Much as we might like to believe that we're at the forefront of a fashion revolution which is just around the corner, I believe that men wearing heels is likely to remain a minority interest.

  13. Not now, but one of my ex-girlfriends had the same size feet. She had several pairs of sexy boots that she used to let me wear, including a pair of black suede thigh boots with stiletto heels. One memorable night she took me out on the back of her motorbike with me wearing them, that was fun! My ex-wife also had the same size feet, but she only had a couple of pairs of shoes that I liked, and she hated me wearing heels. Going away from the significant other requirement, my cousin lived with me for a few months a couple of years back, she has the same size feet as me and about 30 pairs of heels, both shoes and boots. I had quite a collection by that time too and we used to borrow each other's heels quite regularly. My wife's feet are two sizes smaller than mine, and she leaves the heels to me.

  14. I used to shave my legs but don't any more, and there isn't an option for that. I shaved for about a year and while I loved the feeling when they'd just been done, I tired of the maintenance and after a while I just couldn't be bothered with it any more. One of my friends noticed once at a barbecue and, with the air of one uncovering great scandal, pointed it out to everyone else. No-one cared, which I think disappointed him rather. My retort about wearing shorts so that no-one would find out got a laugh though. :irked: I do miss it sometimes, and my wife has said that she wouldn't mind if I wanted to start again but I can live without the faff.
