Thanks guys, that means a lot. I'm not going anywhere but I'll try to post a bit more often. :-)

I don't know, I've never hidden it from her, I just don't think she takes that much interest in what I'm doing on the computer. My gut feeling is that if I brought it up she'd either know already or not care. She's quite happy for me to wear heels, so I doubt me talking about them would come as a shock.

I check in quite often, but don't post as much these days unless I feel that I can make a contribution. My own experience with heels has changed too, when I first joined it was a secret thing that my wife hated, and posting here was a good way for me to talk to people with the same interests. Then we split up (not heel-related) and I went through the "coming out" phase to some close family and friends, where I felt I needed the support of a peer group. Now I'm happily re-married to a lady who accepts my heels and is quite happy for me to wear whatever I like. That's a wonderful thing, but it does mean that I don't feel the same need to talk about it, and my heel-related internet activity is mostly shopping.

Another vote for the Louboutin alti 160 boots, in black leather please. Sadly, even if I could afford them, they wouldn't zip up on me.
-
I told some of my family and friends, it was difficult but in the end none of them minded.

I love white stilettos. I desperately want, but am unable to find, a pair of white leather calf-length stiletto boots. I used to see them a lot in the 80s, but sadly I seem to be the only one wanting them back. I do have a nice pair of white stiletto courts from Office though.

I met my wife online and I told her about my heels the first time we met IRL. She was fine about it, and the next time she was at my place she asked to see my heels, and wanted me to try them on for her. Since then she's been an absolute star about it. I'm sitting here in a pair of stiletto ankle boots that I've been wearing all evening with her blessing. She knows that they're just shoes and it doesn't stop me being me, what I have on my feet is a total non-issue for her.

I've only ever had one sort-of negative experience. I went shopping wearing my avatar boots but with the purple flames, I was also wearing black jeans and T-shirt, and a long black leather coat. I walked past a gang of teenage boys, one of whom started laughing and pointing at my heels while loudly advertising the fact that I was wearing high heels to his friends. Funnily enough, he stopped as soon as I turned round and made eye contact with him.

My favourites are definitely heels and hosiery, especially tights. My current favourites are M&S 30 denier semi-opaque tights in black, they're really smooth and glossy!

Rick24 and HHDude: there are women out there who are not freaked out by the idea of a man in heels, you just need to find one. Most of my heel wearing is at home these days as where I live is not exactly cosmopolitan, and being on the Lifeboat crew in an area where everyone knows everyone else makes you rather high-profile. That said, she's more than happy for me to totter around the house in my red satin stiletto sling-backs and stockings. I think the key is that I told her about my heels the day we met, so I was open with her about it from day one. Had she freaked out at that point, I'd have known that she wasn't the one for me. Since then, with her blessing, I've branched out into some other areas of female attire, and she doesn't mind one bit.

That's funny! The boots in your avatar look like they would stick out in a pitch black room! I like 'em!
They're not exactly subtle are they? I love the fact that the styling is quite aggressive but the heel feels like a stiletto to wear. Add to that cushioned footbeds and the fact that they're pretty sturdy and they become my street heeling boots of choice. I have the same pair with the flames in silver and purple, but I think the orange ones are my favourites.

If I was going to be picky, I'd want those in black, and cut just above the ankle, but other than that I love them! One thing I've learned from experience is that wearing them out is a lot harder than at home on nice flat surfaces. I would certainly be using the need to practise before going out in them as an excuse to wear them a lot.

Going back a few years I was in a club in Manchester wearing the New Rock boots in my avatar. I was sitting down with my legs crossed when a guy walked past and bumped my foot, he apologised and as he did he looked down and saw my boots. He did a bit of a double take before remarking "Nice one mate, they're cool!"

I don't think the point of these is to create a fashion statement, it's for insecure short guys who want to appear taller.
-
I desperately want a pair of the Christian Louboutin Alti Botte platform boots. Sadly I can't afford them, I'd probably need a 42 and I'm not sure if they're available, and they definitely wouldn't zip up on me.

I told my wife the day we met that I like to wear high heels, and it's never been a problem. I felt a bit nervous wearing them in front of her for a while, but that was down to my experiences with my ex-wife who hated it. She's interested to see what I've bought when I get a new pair, but other than that they're just shoes to her.
-
For me it's down to circumstances. If I'm relaxing on the sofa in heels then no, if I'm wearing them in the bedroom with my wife, hell yes!

Related. But barely. Does speak to movie "magic" and heels though. In the film Iron Man 2 Gwyneth Paltrow is wearing fairy tall stilettos through out. There is a scene where she walks down the stairs of his lab and turns to walk across screen to go speak face to face with Robert Downey, Jr. There are tables and equipment which are blocking the bottom half of her legs, except one tiny gap where you can see they switched her into flats.
According to IMDB, she's half an inch taller than he is, I suspect that the flat shoes were so that she wouldn't tower over him.

I liked point five myself. "Please would you wear these shoes in for me? I don't want the blisters." "You want me to have the blisters? Some friend you are!" On the subject of heel popping and drooping slings I'm nailing my flag to the "sloppy and disheveled" mast. It's the same as when I see a pair of heels with missing tips and peeling leather.

My mum and stepdad don't know, but that's mostly because I've never found a convenient way to bring it up, and because they live so far away I don't see them often. My cousins both know and we try on each other's heels, my aunt knows and doesn't care, and my uncle pretends not to know. My aunt's my mum's sister and they're very alike, so I don't think my mum would care either. I'm not sure about my dad, but not having seen or heard from him in a year I don't think it'll come up anytime soon.

Im not into platforms but..
' Meh ' I wouldnt be caught DEAD wearing these bricks :
I love those, I want a pair!

Very, very nice pics. Does your wife know you're posting them?
-
Wow! In an ideal world I would have done the interview and I would have had smaller feet so maybe she would have let me try on a few pairs. Either way I am very jealous of her shoe collection!

I have painted my toenails when I sed to shave my legs and I loved it. I have quite feminine feet, so the look of painted toenails and shaved legs was very appealing. Since I've let the fur grow back I've not bothered though.
Thinking On Going Home In High Heels

The Calvin Klein knee boots are my favourite, but I think the ankle boots will be better to travel in, mainly because they'll be easiest to get off if you need to for security, or just to get comfortable on the plane.
