  1. Always sheer pantyhose, opaque tights, stockings or knee highs.

    www.comfilon.com

has lots of different offerings for men's sizes and anatomy.

In the interest of full disclosure, my wife and I own the company. This is not an advertisement, but a service to the men on this board, to let them know that legwear made for their size and shape exists, is reasonably priced, and is readily available. We ship all over the world.

  2. Wearing shoes that are easy to get on and off is the key to getting through security faster. I like clogs for that reason, and Clark's is my favorite brand. I just flew a week ago to St. Louis and back wearing them, and had no problem going through security at all.

In fact, I also wore black pantyhose under my jeans, and the reinforced toe was quite obvious. TSA has seen it all, and they're not interested in odd clothing, they're looking for weapons and explosives.

By the way, the second reviewer of those clogs, GWL, is my former ID on this forum before I changed it to my real name.

  3. I agree with Bubba. Why don't you just select one pair of boots and wear them for the whole outing. And ditch the carrier bag, or use it to carry a pair of flats to change in if your feet hurt. What's the thrill of changing boots so often? I don't get it. Steve

  4. Scrappy, Great shoes! But even better, I see you shaved off your moustache! That's such a better look, in my opinion. There is nothing wrong with a moustache, but I find it extremely masculine, and by pairing it with femme shoes and skirt, the juxtaposition was just too jarring for me. This is a much softer look, and a big improvement, I think. Just my opinion. Steve

  5. Nice outfit, Jeff. I also like the capris better than skirts on you. It's definitely more attractive, especially with heels. Staring doesn't mean disapproval. Nor does frowning. It was apparent that these guys have only two pigeonholes in their heads - one for men and one for women. What was observed didn't quite fit into either hole, and the perplexing frown could have been more of an indication of frustration and not understanding than one of disapproval. Unless you open a conversation and ask what the other person is thinking, you can't know for sure. Capris are fun. I own 3 pair myself and enjoy wearing them! Keep up the good work! Steve

  6. I feel the same way. I have way too many to organize and even though I like them all, some just don't honestly fit very well, and I should get rid of them. But it's so difficult to do! Most of my collection of about 200 pair was acquired via ebay, and not everything you buy sight unseen (or without trying on) is going to fit. But to me, often shoes are works of beautiful art that I have trouble parting with. So it's a tough decision, whether to sell off part of the collection or build a bigger museum! HA HA HA Steve

  7. I think there is going to be more we'll hear about Kris in the future, Mal. Looks like you're still on her radar screen, mate. Do keep us updated! Hope you're well again soon. You can't enjoy your outings when you're feeling crook. Steve

  8. If you remove the sticker and there is still adhesive left on the shoes, you can safely remove the goo with a product called (appropriately enough) "Goo Gone". It's available in most groceries and big box stores. It has a nice citrus smell and won't harm most substances. Steve

  9. I don't know what size you wear, but look at these Clark's Oakham clogs. They're comfortable, with a 3 1/4 inch tapered stacked heel in size 11 and 3 1/2 inch heel in size 12 (women's). They can be worn comfortably with socks, or barefoot, or, as I prefer, with tights, pantyhose, and sheer knee highs. I wear them everywhere with long boot-cut jeans and slacks that come down slightly over the back of the heel. Sorry I don't have any pics. I'll have to try to get some taken.

No one has ever point, laughed, or giggled, and I think very few have ever even noticed. They're unisex. I've even worn them through airports many times. Nobody cares. They're a good choice for flying (under the radar, that is!). My wife is fine with me wearing them everywhere.

I liked them so much I bought them in black and in brown. And I have some other similar older styles that I've posted about before (search on Clark Octavia).

  10. You're exactly right, Kneehighs. It's a numbers game, and the more frogs you kiss, the more likely you'll find the right princess, as I told Mal in another thread. Dave, since we've met in person and I know what you look like, I'd say you have everything going for you - good looks, good personality, and good sense of fashion. I'm glad to see you dating, and I wish you all the best in finding a special woman who is in tune with your desires to wear heels. Steve

  11. Johnie, It's all about confidence. Confidence is sexy and you've gotta be a 10 on that scale! Good luck on the dates. And forget the dinner-and-show routine, as Kneehighs has pointed out - that's boring and predictable. Go shoe shopping with her instead. Hardly any women get to do that on a date, so I can almost guarantee it will be a first time for her (unless you have done it with her before), and it won't be boring or predictable! Let us know how it goes. Steve

  12. G'day, Mal, I'm glad you're not discouraged! You have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince (or princess) so hang in there! Kneehighs has some great advice, so learn from the master! When you start hitting home runs, mate, I want to buy the book and movie rights! LOL Steve

  13. G'day, Mal, On the date with Kris when you wore the red shoes and red bag, and it didn't go well, I inquired whether toning it down would have helped? Well, your outfit, even though it was a skirt and heels, was definitely toned down this time, and the proof is that she didn't notice at first! Awesome story. Let's hear the rest, please! Steve

  14. Great advice, Kneehighs. Thanks for posting. I think you're absolutely right about Mal continuing to be who he wants to be but I'd suggest that almost everyone has room to improve his fashion sense to be more attractive. Without photos or being there, we can only imagine what Mal looks like and how his presentation comes across. But the important lesson learned is that whatever his presentation was, it worked in the club setting and didn't work on a date in a public venue. Mal, back to the drawing board, mate, but you have some excellent experience now and that's a great teacher. I wish you all the best of success in your dating future, and keep us posted. You're exploits are really interesting reading! Steve

  15. Kneehighs, That's a very good point. While it's not possible to replay the scene of that date, do you think it would be worth while for Mal to attempt to ask Kris out again to the club where he met her and where they hit it off well, with the caveat that he would tone his appearance down somewhat (say, pants instead of a skirt, and black shoes instead of red)? It seems like there was a spark of interest for a while on her part, and maybe Mal just went overboard in selecting his outfit for the date. Regardless, I still like your strategy a lot more than dinner and a show. While that kind of a date is usually predictable, the incident of having to re-queue for tickets was not at all predictable (in a bad way), and the whole scene crashed from there. We'll never know if, had the cinema gone as expected, she would have been ok with the date and perhaps go out with him again. Steve

  16. In hind sight, Mal, when you discovered the tickets were for Sunday, you should have gone with her directly to the bar and got more wine into her system first, instead of queuing for Saturday tickets to the cinema. Then you could possibly have got another date with her the NEXT night for the tickets she had purchased online! Ah, well. When you figure out women, let me know! Steve

  17. Hardly a day (or night) goes by where I don't have heels on for some part of the time. What's the point? I'm on earth for a short time and I want to maximize the enjoyment of the shoes I wear, so why abstain, especially because of family issues? I have some conservative clogs and loafers I can wear around family. And there's no point to abstaining for weather issues either. If it's too hot for boots, switch to sandals or clogs. If it's too cold for those, switch to boots. High heels are available in styles suitable for any weather, so I never let the heat or humidity restrict my wearing heels. Steve

  18. I was in college then, too, and I also liked wearing men's heels as much as I could. I had a pair of 4" block heel mules with a 3/4" platform (but it was a D width and too wide for comfort), a pair of loafers with almost a 3" block heel (got married in them!), and a pair of sandals with a 4" heel and about a 1" platform (which I couldn't wear comfortably). I have never like oxfords, so I didn't have any of those. Bring back the heeled styles of those days! Steve

  19. C'mon, Trolldeg, quit being negative! Maybe you were only joking, I dunno, because it's impossible to read your body language in print, but if you don't like someone else's preferences, don't be such a critic. We all have different tastes and that's what makes this forum interesting. Please be tolerant of others who don't agree with your taste. Thanks! Steve PS. Besides, clogs are a Swedish thing. I own a pair and they are great! You ought to be proud of your country's contribution to high heels, even if they aren't your particular cup of akvavit!

  20. Great choices. I like all three. Clogs look so good on a guy. They're unisex and fun to wear. With boot cut jeans and slacks, they are hardly noticed to be out of the ordinary. I love clogs. Thanks for posting! Steve
