  1. i think that women's shoes are just like the rest of their clothes; there is no "standard" for fit & sizing. oh, sure... a 12 in one brand/style will closely approximate a 12 in another, but i have 11w shoes that fit the same as some 12w shoes. why this should be if a european 44 won't match a 43 makes NO SENSE, but this does get women trying on more stuff than they would otherwise and therefore buying more than otherwise. imagine walking into a shoe store, seeing the shoe you like, and telling the clerk: "i'll take that in a 12w". then walking out with your purchase, without needing to try ANYTHING on! their sales would plummet. r1g0r (a euro 44, men's 10.5, and a womens 11w to 12w.)

  2. i wear skirts exclusively to work, and i feel that aesthetically they look better with women's shoes or boots. that said, i also enjoy the feeling of a mild elevation even though i'm 6'3" in bare feet. let's face it folks, women's shoes are intended to be "fun". why wouldn't we enjoy them? r1g0r

  3. I love the rounded toes. The bow is girly but I like them, just wouldn't wear them out.

    CJ

sort of agree here. the toe is quite nice:thumbsup: . the bow? wellllll, it only detracts a little to me. i'd still wear them, IF my back would allow me to wear that high a heel!

have to tell ya cassiej: your avatar shoes are VERY nice!

  4. i have to admit that i find some crocs BONE UGLY, but some are attractive to me. their ballerina styles, and even these wedge sandals have some appeal.

now you can start saying all kinds of nasty things if you like, but we don't all like the same things. let's face it guys, i wouldn't be caught DEAD AT A DOG FIGHT wearing some of the things i've seen some people here simply RAVE about.

one man's passion looks to another like footwear for a dead hooker. so crocs aren't ALL interesting to ya, that's ok. you wouldn't want some of the mouth-breathing rednecks telling you what to wear, now would you?

i've owned some, and if i could find black croc ballerinas in my size i'd own some again!

  5. i wear (almost exclusively) silver jewelry. the few pieces i have that aren't silver, are body jewelry that you can't find in silver.

this is most likely somehow connected to the fact that i am a lunar / lycanthropic alpha male (even though i wear skirts / heels / cosmetics almost exclusively).

imagine my surprise yesterday, when i became a SILVER member!

now, since i can't find anything to tell me how long this status lasts, i'll have to stop posting.

  6. when i say "real woman" i mean exactly that. her appearance reminds me of an early-teens boy dressed as a woman. as far as being a real man, i don't wish to get involved in a flame war or a show of testosterone. however, i've yet to have it questioned to my face, no matter how i was dressed. 8 years in the military, including 3 tours in combat areas. experience with explosives (both utilizing & disposal). very happy marriage with 2 well-adjusted sons. and able to wear skirts & female shoes in public everyday, walking past the city hall/courthouse of a major city 4 times a day, WITHOUT INCIDENT. yeah, i feel fairly confident in my "manliness".

  7. i have to differ. i think she is BONE UGLY. like most celebrities, she is much too thin to be a real woman. (let's face it, boobs & butts are largely made of fat, and when a woman gets too skinny she looks like a 12-year old in drag) her looks are way too harsh for my taste. and i've yet to see a photo of her smiling. a smile makes all the difference in the world on a woman's face, and janine garafalo (i know i've murdered the spelling) looks better smiling than angelina jolie looks WITHOUT a smile. these are all opinions, and opinions are like @$$-holes. everybody has one, and yours stinks.

  8. Name: chris Age: 48 (as of march 2007) Gender: male Location: wisconsin, usa Occupation: telecom god Height: 6'3" Weight: 165-170 Shoe size: f=12w, m=10.5 What's your favourite heel style: hard to say, i love 'em all (including flats) What's your favourite shoe style: BOOTS Do you wear your heels outside: daily, if at work What is: (a) Your favourite heel height: 2-3" ( Your highest heel height: 8" (big monster halloween platform boots) How often do you wear: daily, if at work (a) Your favourite heel height: deja vu ( Your highest heel height: deja vu... again Do you wear socks, hose, stockings or bare feet with your shoes: various hose and tights Anything else you wish to add: due to local laws and my employers policies, i can dress as i please and i'm LEGALLY PROTECTED. so if you're ever in downtown ST PAUL, MINNESOTA don't be surprised by the tall bald guy in a skirt & heels charging down the street past city hall. but be nice, i'm scarier than i look and usually armed (to some degree). r1g0r (still not my real name)

  9. my boot heel caught the edge of a curb near work one day as i was stepping into the street. the attempt to recover caused the boot to catch the hem of my skirt, tossing my clumsy ass into the street on hands and knees (cel phone flying the rest of the way across the street) immediately in front of a lady in her 60's who kindly helped me up. my wife (who was on the phone with me) thought i'd been hit by a vehicle. only thing injured was my pride! r1g0r

  10. personally...

i cant stand the appearance of patent leather. it looks "cheap" to me, and real leather always looks classier.

but to each their own! you have the right to an opinion, even if it's not acceptable or popular.

r1g0r (still in skirts everyday, but having back trouble with heels)

  11. almost all of my footwear was intended for women. flats / clogs / boots (love boots!) / mj's / sandals / you name it, they came from the ladies aisles. i have to agree with somebodies statement earlier, i don't see many women wearing a 12w shoe and so i think some manufacturers are catering to men who wear feminine footwear. men's footwear is like men's clothing. very limited and mostly seems aimed at just not exposing our nakedness. skirts & boots ROCK! r1g0r (wearing skirts to work 100% of the time now)

  12. round toes for me, thank you. i prefer them as they are a more subtle appearance than pointed toes, and most of my maternal influences wore rounded toes when i was a child. i imagine many of us are drawn to something(s) that we saw women do when we children. these early childhood images become sexual triggers for a large portion of the male population. anyhow, rounded... r1g0r (still not my real name...)
