  1. my issue is that i wear a 12wide in ladies' footwear, but medium-to-thin calves. i also wear skirts almost every day at work, and endeavor to look half-way "put together". in boots (my personal favorites) this means i have WAY too much room in the calf/shaft of the boot and i think this is unsightly. anybody have any ideas for this minor problem? with some boots i can wear legwarmers, but that can also look strange. yeah, i know. a guy in skirts and women's high-heeled boots worrying about looking "strange".

  2. gotta disagree on principle: if guys are forbidden from posting in the "for the girls" section, then girls sould be forbidden from posting in the "for the guys" section. simply put, it should be OUR private place here. if you want women's input on a subject, then post it in "for everybody" duh! otherwise, it is simply giving them their own private forum. they could start their own ANYPLACE THEY WANT. i love women as much as any guy can, but let us have our own place they don't enter. the alternative is hypocritical.

  3. any of the shooes you linked would be accepted in my workplace, and most would be HIGHLY complimented! a co-worker of mine regularly comes by to see my footwear, and to show off whatever sexy thing she's wearing on her legs and feet. any of the styles (except #1. a little too "granny") would be likely to be seen on her feet.

  4. duct tape!

lots and lots of duct tape, all over the back of the shoe.

maybe going up the leg, and also around the front of the shoe.

hell... just duct tape over the whole thing, all the way up to the knees. tell people it's the newest style of boots!

in fact, why stop there? for those of us that can't afford the boot-pants, a home-made duct tape version would be inexpensive and would fit perfectly!

i think i may be onto something here. or maybe just on something...:winkiss:

  5. i wear hose/tights/very thin dress socks, almost exclusively. i do have some thicker socks, but they are very much the exception rather than the rule.

i can't stand wearing most shoes barefoot, and thicker socks are usually uncomfortable to me. so the logical conclusion is the type of legwear i have gravitated towards.

i admit that part of me enjoys that i'm wearing traditionally "female" legwear, but it's actually a very small part of my decision.

the thicker socks are either for hiking, or are over-the-knee fun socks for with kilts and shorter skirts and usually heavier, looser-fitting boots.

  6. personal opinion, now, so please don't take offense.

the skirt is too short for the suit, i'd have chosen something at least 6" longer. (although i do wear shorter skirts, my tastes run to much longer ones)

the shoes are a little bit "party" for wearing with a skirt-suit. i'd have (again) gone with something more conservative.

if the outfit works for you, that's the important thing. you'd probably make faces at my usual tastes in clothing, so again: don't be offended by my comments.

  7. new black sneaker boots (come up to just above the calf) leopard tights with grey legwarmers just peaking over the boot-tops dark denim mini-skirt (for me) about 4" above the knees black sparkley hooded, zippered halter (looks like a sweatshirt) grey flannel "big shirt" over the halter denim jacket my acrylic nails, as usual, in a french manicure. i was feeling squirrelly, and dressed WAY more outlandish than usual. went over quite well, and i got several compliments from female co- workers. now the sneaker boots may offend some here, as they were traditional-sneaker style. flat. however, they were an essential part of my freaky friday look.

  8. i cant stand the feel of barefoot in shoes (sandals excepted) or thick socks (hikers or heavy shoes excepted), so for me its ALWAYS hose or very thin & stretchy socks. the only time i'll break this rule is for kilt-like skirts or winter wear, when i'll don thicker tights or otk heavy-knit socks.

  9. anything counts! we (males) have denied (or been denied by society) most things that women take for granted. shoes, clothing, cosmetics, etc. these things aren't inherently "female" but are not allowed to be part of our world unless they are part of a very NARROW portion of each of these subjects. skirts are female, UNLESS they are kilts. heels are female, UNLESS they are cowboy boots etc... i enjoy many things that are "female", but when i use them i'm not trying to appear female. i'm 6'3" barefoot, bald with facial hair, and have only managed to pass as female on a couple of halloweens AND after hooouuurs of preparation. my best costume took almost 4 hours to prepare! so yeah, painting them for parties counts. it all does. sorry, rant mode disabled now

  10. ok, i know some will have issues with this, but i have maintained acrylic nails most of the time for about 8 years. i recently let them "grow off", and let my natural nails take a break. they are very poor quality as a normal condition. thin, easily splitting (painfully), and will not grow normally. i decided yesterday to re-apply acrylics. my old nail tech had changed shops to a place out of my easily-travelled area, so i decided to try a new shop at (of all places?!?) a wal-mart supercenter near me. the tech was very friendly and didn't have any apparent issues doing acrylics on a man. the nails are now about 1/8" beyond my fingertips, and done in a french manicure. i'm getting re-acquainted with the added length (typing, getting dressed, manipulating small objects), and i actually enjoy them a lot. my wife is quite supportive of me having them, she knows it doesn't mean anything beyond the fact that i enjoy nails. i'm not looking for support on this from the forum members, but i'd like to know who else does fun stuff with their nails. whether fingernails or toenails, painting them or other activities. what do YOU do with your claws?

  11. love spring and fall, because the moderate temps allow wearing so many more diverse clothes.

short skirts and tights, with boots

    longer skirts

    layers

easier to dress for than the extremes of summer or winter

i need to change where i live!
