  1. i have a series of military "dog-tag" chains that i wear as ankle wear. wearing 1 is pretty delicate-looking, wearing 20 shows serious attitude. they are pretty cheap (military surplus or hardwear stores) and i've broken 1 in about 20 years of wearing them.

  2. like a lot of people, she obviously has a "thing" for shoes. granted, ill-fitting heels on a day out with children is not the wisest of choices. but then i see a lot of writing in this forum about "i put on my X-inch heels and went for a X-mile walk", so who are we (or anybody else) to judge her? i'm sure as she ages and matures, her taste in all-day appropriate footwear will change. i, for one, wish she'd wear her ponyboots enough in public to make them popular. then i could possibly afford them!

  3. i have: boots (heeled & not) shoes (heeled & not) uggs crocs sandals the enjoyment for me comes from many factors, and having a high heel is not mandatory. flat shoes can be a lot of fun. just enjoy whatever flips your switch!

  4. Dawn HH, I must disagree. Target has unisex fitting rooms and all the attendant has to do is to count the pieces that you are taking in - that's all. Either she is just an idiot and obnoxious person or both. If she felt that Magickman was making a mistake, then she should have QUIETLY asked him.

gotta agree. however, some people are mentally not capable of editting their responses or tone of voice.

i work in an office, and one of the people there has no indoor voice. everything he says comes out like he's in the middle of a construction site. "SO YES, WE'LL SCHEDULE A TECHNICIAN TO COME OUT ON THURSDAY TO..." he's been talked to multiple times, and is still loud as hell!

if the saleslady REALLY was trying to embarrass you, i think she'd have stuck around for your re-appearance.

  5. You would be better off by far spending that money on properly fitting well made shoes in the first place. I believe in treating the cause not the symptom.

that kind of radical thinking is dangerous, and needs to be stopped! :w00t2:

<wearing properly fitting shoes. what next? "why don't you try the correct size?" ja, RIGHT!> ;-)

  6. OOOOOOOOooooooooooo................ i'd never thought of that! how kinky  , i love it! now, i wonder how it would work if the latex was still wet when you put on a pair of shoes. oh, i gotta get some latex, and rubber socks, and shoes, and... god, i'm gonna be busy! :welcome: 10Q both!

  7. i don't care how commonplace it becomes, the idea of having botulism toxin injected into your body intentionally makes me cringe. i keep having visions of headlines 10-20 years from now: "WORLD-WIDE PLAGUE NOW LINKED TO EARLY BOTOX USE. DEATH TOLL REACHES..."

  8. i'd like to find some shoes made of rubber/latex/etc... not the usual gardening clog type things, but something snug-fitting and rubberized on the inside. i envision something that fits like a ballet slipper, but with some type of durable outer sole (for street wear). since this is an experiment of sorts, and i don't expect to find the right feel/look right off the bat, i'd like to keep costs down as much as possible (so failures don't deplete the retirement fund  ). i will also be checking into rubber socks. any and all input from y'all is appreciated. 10-Q
