I would say my feet hurt. I think anything else is a bit of lie.
My girlfriend went to Ascot today wearing 4.5" 1980s cone heels (really cool shoes) that are the perfect fit for her. She may as well have iron feet and wears heels of some kind pretty much everyday. When she got back to Brighton she was what can only be described as crippled.
Proper (thin and over 2") heels are something that mess up what nature intended and as such can't really be mentioned in the same sentence as 'practical' or 'comfy'.
'Sexy' and 'the most brilliant thing ever invented' are.
Benno
This story shows even experienced heel wears have problem walking all day in heels! I wonder how occasional wearers got on? Although I have never been I get the impression that heels are almost 'de-rigour' at Royal Ascot.
What heels did your GF wear the next day and would she wear the cone heels or a simialr height next year to Ascot?
Cheers Fred

EstherFashionista, Amandahls,
What are your sizes? Mine 37/37.5. I had try on 7 inch. But indeed 12 steps en wobbling en stumbling. 6 en 6.5 inch aren't really a problem. Only if I wear them say for work, shopping and the rest of the day my feet’s wil hurt a bit the next day. Peter asked my them to wear 6" for a week and after that no more trouble than after one day. So it is a bit of get used. But with 7" my toes will hardly make the bend en don't touch the "ground" enough to get a stable walk.
With ballet (boots) there is a difference the are higher 7"+ but my toes don’t bent and on a strange way they are more stable on that way. Last 2 years try them lot. Know I'm ready for vacation shopping. I looking forward to it and very curious about myself for the experience. Hopefully Champs Elysee but have know idea of I can made it.
Love Esther
What work do you do? Are you standing a lot in your heels? Is it ever a problem? 37.5 are very small feet for wearing 6"
Cheers

Thanks for the photos. they are all great.
Particularly like the shoes with a buckle (http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i272/John_and_Gail/Shoes/DSCF0647.jpg), that you have had many years. When did you used to wear them? Where they everyday shoes? Like heel height and toe shape.

Cinnamon Great to hear that heels run in your family! Must be in your Genes. How do her heels (and your Grandmothers) compare to the styles you wear? I trusts yours are higher. Does your mother still wear heels? Cheers Fred

It's great you wear 4.5” with such Petit feet. Is that for work or play?
Also you have a tiny waist. Few can lace to 18”. Have you seen the www.staylace.com site?
