They certainly seem to have disappeared. If they are still posted I certainly cannot find them.

Good job it was a hardcourt surface. Might have been a tad more difficult on Wimbledon's grass. There again I doubt they would have allowed their hallowed turf to be used for a mere advert.
-
Sorry Puffer but I do not see your problem. To me at least, the story has paragraphs even though they are not indented and are rather long. To the author, I enjoyed the story very much. Pity there are not more of the same written and posted.

In regard to the netball comment. The game is probably the major female sport here in Australia where there is a professional league. The game is also very popular in New Zealand and Jamaica to name but two. Australia are world champs.

The original clip was from the site 'www.seemewalking.com'. Does anyone have any idea what happened to this site as it seems to have disappeared after a very short life-span. If it is still out there I certainly cannot find it.

You're a lucky guy. North of you in Brisbane, if you walk through the Queen St mall at any time you are lucky to see more than about half of the women in anything except trainers. I know of many girls who work in offices who only keep a pair of shoes at work strictly for wear in the office. Going to and from work and at lunchtime they change into trainers or flats.

Couldn't agree more about the movies. In my humble opinion, which may be due to my age, the remakes are usually crap compared to the original.

I remember those days well. I began my working life in the late 50's and the factory where I worked (in England before I emigated) had some fifty or so young ladies in the finishing department. It was a great time for a young single guy as most married women did not work, so nearly all the girls were all available. Almost all wore at least 4" stiletto heels, the majority 5", to and from work (had to change to flats in work for safety reasons) along with slim fitting skirts. A large majority would put their heels on even to walk the 100yards or so to the shop to buy lunch. As much as I appreciated the birth of the mini, Mary Quant effectively killed off high heels amongst the younger generation.

Perhaps its just me, but having watched the video I think that the walking sticks were the whole point and the model did exactly as she was supposed to. Must say I enjoyed looking at all the outfits.
-
Perhaps I misunderstood but I got the impression from reading her blog that Imelda will still intends to make videos and was only closing the 'You tube' account and that in the future videos would only be available by viewing her blog.

Interesting look on things. I hope you continue this story as I shall be very interested to see where it goes, especially the female side of the dress code.

Sheldonheels. I know exactly how you feel. My home city in Oz is much the same. Even the women working in professional offices only seem to wear 'flats' at work, and even worse flip-flops or trainers while travelling to and from work. One of my pet hates is to see a some of these younger women dressed for a 'night on the town'. Expensive outfit, hairdo, etc, but the footwear spoils the whole effect. Flat sandals or trainers are not what is required.

Those videos you mention in the introduction, they weren't the ones where the models were trained by walking in heels on one of those narrow beams that the gymnasts use were they? On second thoughts, I don't think they were on you-tube. No takers on the ballet heel story? If not would you consider giving it a go yourself?

Have just caught up with this story. Very good, enjoyed it greatly. Pity it was never continued!

Are there any high heel wearing ladies in St. Louis; Cincinnati; Milwaukee; Las Vegas who would be interested in acting as tourist guides while I am visiting their cities on holiday during the last two weeks of May. You can view my details in my profile. I can assure you this is a genuine plea. I can be contacted at **EMAIL REMOVED** Please put request as subject line.

I see the media have got stuck into Posh again. So what if she chose to wear a dress and high heels to Disneyland. Better that than wanting to look like a woman in drag, dressing like a man with two lumps on her chest. The media should be encouraging her, along with millions of other women, to begin acting and dressing like females. I know it will show my age, but I can recall the time, when as a teenager, almost EVERY woman would have worn her best dress and highest heels on a day out to a place such as Disneyland. GET OFF HER BACK MEDIAPERSONS. SHE IS ONE SMART DRESSING LADY. PS - her husband used to be a useful footballer as well.

Sorry, same in Australia - not available for viewing.

I saw this movie on TV the other night. Must agree about the fabulous heels on show. Like others I especially liked the all-to-short scene (why does this always happen) of the thigh high boots. The other scene that caught my eye was the one where just a glimpse was caught of a woman wearing a skirt that was either patent leather or PVC, the shot was too quick to be able to tell which.

Smitty55 - Any news on the continuation of this story. It has been some time since you posted the first part. I sincerely hope this is not going to be yet another of those many, many unfinished stories that appear on too many sites and forums:sad:

Have been a Dr Who fan since almost the first series. I recall Mary Tamm as Romana very well. She is about the only 'assistant' I can think of who dressed smartly throughout the series, the rest dress way too casually for my liking. Pity she only lasted the one short series, which I think numbered only six episodes. If memory serves the next 'assistant' was also named Romana, and was I believe Tom Baker's girlfriend at the time.

I very good start, I enjoyed reading what has been written so far and agree with HHDude that it is a unique approach to the idea. Can't wait for the next part.
-
HHDude. I think you may have misinterpreted what I was trying to say. I was not referring to the 'story' being about a male wearing the footwear, that was was what I was attempting to point out and would fully expect the story, if it ever sees the light of day, to be written by a male. The writings about males wearing high heels are the thing that do nothing for me. As you will see from my profile I am a guy in his sixties who has, for over fifty years, enjoyed watching the female form in all respects, high heels adding to the enjoyment.
-
Maybe I missed something, but I have always been of the belief that guys who like looking a females in high heels are rather fetishtic, so that would not be a problem. As for appealing only to a minority, well, in my humble view, if six people read and enjoy a story, that is fine. Sorry, but anything to do with a male WEARING high heels does absolutely nothing for me. But since the mid-50's, decade, not age, I have enjoyed watching females in heels, the higher the better.

What a great idea this is. Why has it not been thought of before by some author somewhere? In my best whiny child's voice I plead, please, pleeeeeaaaaasse somebody write this story. I would like to see it set circa 1910 as this could bring in two of my other favourites, corsets and hobble-skirts, but any period would suffice. N

As I wrote many months ago, and my view has not altered, I would greatly appreciate any continuation of this story:wavey:
