It sounds interesting - I've not seen it although it's been playing in London for quite a while. It is based on a true story and the music, by Cyndi Lauper has won all kinds of awards. I suppose it depends on the cast.

I like the sound of the book collection. I used to read all those sorts of books when I was a kid, and imagined myself climbing the big ones in the Himalaya. Did a lot of rock climbing in college, but never went off peak-bagging in real life.

How did you get into collecting old outboard motors? What constitutes 'old' with outboard motors? What's your oldest?

Ah yes, health and safety. Lest we forget.  Not just a tedious bureaucratic issue, but a lawsuit and insurance issue. The pervasive and pernicious American legal culture has spread globally. Twist an ankle - regardless of your footwear - and sue your employer, your co-workers, your supervisor, the boot-maker who made your boots, the architect who designed the building, the cement pourers who laid the wobbly floor, and the quarry where the limestone was quarried to make the concrete. All of them for gross and wilful negligence.
