  1. I love wedges! Definitely not as sexy as stilettos, but can be just as high if you can find the right ones. Some of them are quite nice looking, and they can be quite comfortable and quiet. I have some by Karo Shoes, which are sold by the "stripper" outlets and have a mini platform, 5.5" heels. Also a 5.5" heel slingback wedge from Payless which is very comfortable, and a 6" wedge sandal from Sam Edelman which is quite high. All have decently wide soles. I don't care for the high platform shoes any more (like in my avatar), and some of the Nine West wedges have a 1.5" platform with a quite narrow sole, so they aren't real stable on uneven ground.

  2. All i asked for was examples or pics of women in heels and shorts , all i wanted was to show my wife that the look is ok. iam not forcing her into anything. some women feel more comfortable knowing that other people are doing the same thing. You gonna tell me u never asked ur wife to wear something that she did it just for u?

I asked my wife to pose in heels and shorts and took a series of pictures of her, many years ago. She was gorgeous and she did it without question.

  3. Exactly. A girl I used to know was quite beautiful with nice boobs and was wearing a low cut top. She said "Are you staring at my boobs? That creeps me out!" I said "Why do you dress like that if you don't want people to look?" That shut her up!

  4. They were distributed in the U.S. by Pleaser, in both ankle and knee-high styles. The price was probably half what that site shows, at least it was here. However, the rubber boots are no longer shown on the Pleaser web site nor do they seem to be generally available any longer. The Flair 2010 boots with a mini-platform are more comfortable and are still available, but they are not waterproof.

  5. Today's O.C. Register front page of the Life section was dominated by a large illustration of a bright red high heeled shoe, and the headline "High Heels: Pro or Con"

Two columns were presented, con and pro.

    Con: http://www.ocregister.com/articles/pain-164066-ocprint-heels-went.html

    Pro: http://www.ocregister.com/articles/heels-164065-ocprint-believe-women.html

It was interesting that they presented two views, both by women.

Of course, the mere presence of such an article, particularly dominating the page with the large headline and artwork, testifies to the attractiveness of high heels to those who publish such features and apparently to their readers.

  6. The right high heels should provide more arch support than flat shoes. But check them or try them on first to make sure they have plenty of arch support - not all do. You should be able to find arch support inserts also to possibly add even more support. I think there are even some for sandals - try drug stores and department stores.

  7. Also from Orange. I don't wear heels in public except to the nail salon sometimes. I am probably the oldest member here and have lived and worked in the same area for almost 50 years, so am probably recognized even outside of all the people who know me and who would be surprised or shocked. The only people who know are all younger women/girls, and all but one accepts it with no problem, which my wife did. But she was not interested in any meets. I guess I would consider it.

  8. I used to think 2" platforms and 6+" heels were great looking and comfortable. Higher platforms seemed definitely disproportionate, though, and not attractive. Nowadays, it seems like most mainstream designs are using 1.5 to 2 inch platforms, so categorizing them as stripper shoes is no longer appropriate, and what's wrong with shoes that are designed to be sexy? I still like platforms, but 1/2 to 1 inch preferably, since they have some padding and are more comfortable than none. The higher platforms tend to be less stable and can be treacherous on uneven ground, particularly when they are tapered down to a narrower sole. A lot of the higher heeled pumps and wedges tend to run about 1.5" platforms, and they are OK if the soles are wide. I hate flatforms.

  9. New Leggy wedges from Nine West. Advertised as a 1 inch platform, but as it turns out they have a 1/2 inch hidden platform, so total of 1.5 inches, higher than I would like. But they are 6 inches high at the back of the heel, leather, and quite comfortable.
