There will now be a long intermission whilst we exchange volumes of 'Essex-girls-with-white-stilettos' jokes.
Or not.
Excuse me but I actually own some white stilettos

Shyheels. Love the comment about "Ethics' being a county in England. Just brilliant. I am a big crossword fan and in one book of crosswords I frequently buy, one clue that often appears always makes me laugh - A county in W England - answer Essex. Really? You could not go further EAST in England than Essex.
Essex, Middlesex, Wessex, Sussex but no Norsex. I always found that strange.

I had the same problem. My doctor gave me stretching exercises to do which were uncomfortable, he also told me i wouldn't be able to wear heels again once I managed to stretch down so I didn't bother with it. Then a couple of years later I saw another doctor who told me that I would still be able to wear heels or not as I wished. He gave me similar stretching exercises and advice which I stuck to and now I can go barefoot or wear flats if I like. I do still get pain if I make the transition from heels to flats too quickly so at the end of the day I do a wee bit of stretching while sitting down after taking them off. Not sure I'm going to start investing in flat shoes though. Everything is the wrong height and my feet are too long and I feel unbalanced in them. But hey I'm free!

Yes, Amanda, you've tapped a rich vein in the Russian (salt) mine. I'd have liked to have found the reggae version, but this is bad enough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDx8U9Qhku0
Being an expert linguist Meg I'm relying on you to tell me what the antithesis of gem is.

I can remember doing 1000 miles on my bike, I had a mileometer fitted to the front wheel, but that was back in about 1965, don't know how many miles in girls style shoes but I started in about 1968, and still doing so today, every day.
How can you have been doing that in 1968 and still be alive today, that's impossible!

Chapeau! If you kept that up for twelve years that's once lightly around the globe at the Equator or a tenth of the way to the Moon.
Well I think I would opt for the moon since the globe is very messy as you well know.

I did a rough calculation based on walking about 4-5 miles a day which is getting on for 2000 a year.

I don't think Dylan is the man you recognise. He's far to famous and effected. The Dylan you knew is long gone.

I don't think I want to know. Ignorance is bliss, and I wanna be so blissful, it's not funny!
Yo, Amanda! How's life treating you?
Hmm, well it's not the best moment to ask since I'm just beginning a new chapter.

A post truth age. Hmm, now there's a thought.

I think the media, both social and mainstream have lost traction somehow and reality is sliding away sideways completely unchecked.
