Thanks so much for your positive comments (and defense from Kneehighs)! They are actually not white but a bone color. It really was a toss up for me to either wear those (calf high) or the Nine West ones (a little shorter and a little darker, about halfway between bone and taupe). Either pair blended beautifully with the pants but the Colin Stuart ones have the self-covered heel whereas the Nine West have the stacked heel, both of them 4" high. The dressiness of the Colin Stuart ones tipped the balance.
