  1. I'm not quite sure what to say to this video...There's a number of things wrong with her and her mother and it disgusts me. So here it goes. 475£ for a pair of heels that she'll probably outgrow in like a month.... I really thought these were just insanely rich people that have their money talk for them but I was shocked to watch when they asked the mom and saying how things are a little tight. Credit cards are evil as it is. I still don't have one but considering applying for reasons that I've thought out well ahead. But putting one in the hands of an 11 year old girl with a taste for luxury; that could go over limits = Total nightmare. But at the same time, maybe this mom is suppressing this on her daughter on a massive scale because maybe she wasn't treated well as a child. I've noticed it a lot in people before, but I'm not a psychologist so I'm just coming up with the thought. Still awful though... My opinion is she's going to have zero character when she gets to high school because she has the idea that the world revolves around her. I'm just truly disgusted at this video and it just gives me the impression that society has gone "bonkers"

  2. I'm not going to lie though. I kinda dig the black version. Idk, a lot of you are going to say it's ugly. But I think they'd be cool to wear with the right outfit. Most other info says it's a 4½inch heel. It's something different and who knows there might be more sneaker wedges like this on the way. I give them 6/10 and would try them if they weren't $245

The video of the girl walking in them on heels.com makes them look fairly appealing. FAIRLY.

  3. I'm pretty sure I saw a wedge sneaker out there that had a 4" heel. I can't recall exactly where I found it or who it's by. But it does exist I'm pretty sure. I'm in your same boat. I've worn a lot of 4 inch heels and trying to walk in 5 inch. I have wedge sneakers by Xhilaration and they're only 3 inches too and I have no trouble at all walking in them. It's almost too easy but sneaker wedges are extremely comfortable for high heels and I just adore mine. I think 5 inches is really pushing for High-top wedges. I just held my 5 inch pump next to my 3 inch sneakers and the shoe would have to be REALLY tall to embed that kind of heel into it. I would think 4 inches is the last height that would look good on High-tops. Hey, you could start your own line of 4-5 inch sneaker wedges. I'd buy them!

  4. Wasn't really focusing on fashion today. But I took this (and edited it) before I left today. I'm wearing Blue V-neck from American Eagle Black Athletic Pants from Ross Women's Xhilaration 3" embedded wedge High Tops Very comfy outfit to say the least, It doesn't look too bad right?

  5. Even, if we continue to think in the evolutionary way, men with a feminine side are likely to be loving and good parents, more than extremely masculine men. Don't you think?

Totally agree, I have started to realize my feminine side more and I can be a soft caring person. But if I feel threatened or someone I care for is in danger, then that triggers the tiger's temper. So I think that masculinity still needs to take place in the evolutionary way in order to protect.

  6. My feet clearly aren't used to "long" walks as they got sore by the end, but I guess that will go better every time I go out.

At least it was 10mins. I went shopping in mine and I was out for about 4 hours haha. I never thought my mine would hurt cause they are crazy comfy and the heel is only 3 inches but I was just wrong haha. I should've conditioned or something but it was the longest I've worn heels while consistantly walking Milestone!

I was browsing shoes and this is just an example of what I'm curious about. What is the proper name of this shoe design? I kinda want to see if there's an affordable shoe with this platform design and if anyone can help lead me in the right direction. Also what do you all think of the platform cutout in general??

The only brand I saw that made several of these is designer brand Gianmarco Lorenzi which is ungodly expensive $$$

  8. The big problem is: I have always been incredibly uninterested in fashion or buying shoes

It's actually very strange how something like me, with no interest whatsoever in fashion, loves heels.

There's nothing strange about it. I used to be the same way. But I changed up my style one day and BOOM I swear I turned into a fashionista lol. I love shopping now and everything. So who knows I mean I think my parents are onto something sometimes, but they know my orientation is straight so I think that's all they care about. I'm still keeping my heels a secret but at the same time, prepared to have the talk if they discover them. It's good you're able to have that now, I feel some serious repercussions if/when my secret gets out to them.

But I guess what I'm trying to say is don't feel strange about anything. If you develop a fashion-ized (I guess) attitude, it's totally cool. Girls love it, and guys too (Idk what your views are so I'm being neutral) I hope that kinda helped, I know I was probably wayyy off topic.. :icon_neutral:

This is just and example of what I was looking into. I was reading heelguy's adventures and the one photo he had a white blazer on. He seemed to really pull it off and I was considering giving it a try and seeing what happens. It looked like a women's blazer but idk. I was looking around online at them and I was wondering would size be an issue cause of how guys are built differently? I was thinking of wearing skinny jeans and my wedge sneakers with them if I ever did try it. Just as like a sharp casual style I guess.

  10. I ordered a pair of hidden heels, but if my mom would find out about them she would probably react badly (maybe with bad consequences, now that everything is just going well).

Not necessarily, I have a pair of embedded wedge shoes and I've worn them out in public before and I think as long she doesn't see the inside of the shoe were it's sloped it's really unnoticeable. I'll be honest, my parents don't know about my two pairs of heels (cause I'm also scared to tell them...) but I've worn the hi-tops around them and they have no clue. My pumps remain hidden though...

I saw the one post you made I think in "hidden heels" and btw they're nice! But if they can believe you that they're typical shoes, you'll be golden. It helps even more if the size is close to your normal men's size cause strangely enough I'm a mens US 10 and my wedge tops are womens US 11 and they fit just fine. I like the little mustang on the bottom rear of the shoe, it looks sick! And just one quick tip, I find laced sneakers look better if the tied portion is tucked into the shoe. But that's just me.

I hope it all continues to go well for you!

  11. I can understand the hidden heels concept, but I have never seen any that were actually hidden.

I guess maybe "embedded" is a more appropriate term then. I get what you mean though.

I would loooooove to have a pair of Isabel Marant's wedge heel hi-tops. The heel is hidden. I have a pair that are a cheap knockoff and I'm obsessed with them. They're dream heels because they are over $600  It would either be these red ones or the Black "Bekket" shoe.

I'd also love to try 6 inch pumps with no platform, I think it would be so fun to try and walk in them.

  13. Well today was the first time I stepped outside in a pair of high heels. I was going out shopping with people and I decided it's now or never, that I shouldn't be afraid. Although they were just simple wedge sneakers, I was still scared. I can't imagine how some of you guys on here are able to walk all out in pumps and stuff, I don't think I could.

But my shoes were really comfy, I got them recently from Target and they were effortless to walk in. They have an embedded 3" heel but look like normal high tops. Like I said I was still nervous at the start of things, but since I did a lot of walking in them today. It's almost natural. I felt noticeably taller, I wore grey AE skinny jeans (which really made my legs look long) with a windbreaker and of course, the high tops. I wish I could show pictures but this was my first outing and I was a little insecure/petrified.

At the end of the day, my feet did hurt a little and my legs were sore. I guess that's normal right? I also think I got a little complacent and was strutting a little bit but hey. It was fun!

Well, that's mainly it, not a very long story but it's a start. Thanks for everyone that reads this, I felt like I was my true self for once today and it felt great. And maybe hopefully I can inspire anyone else who felt like I did before today, being nervous and everything.
