Hi All,

About a year ago I had a podiatrist work on one big toe with a chronic propensity for ingrown Toenail. Not long after, the rest of the toenail came off -  not too surprising. And I’ve decided that I am actually too vain to put up with it. It looks just nasty in sandals, even men’s sandals.

Somewhere on the ‘net I read that there are allegedly now permanent or at least semi-permanent prosthetic toenails that can be attached. I called the podiatrist who did the original procedure, she also thought they were available but had no more information.

So - does anyone know anything more, or perhaps even have first -hand experience.? Thanks in advance  for any info you happen to have.

Vaguely (perhaps) related - just the other day I took a quick look at the US Nine West website. The presently have a pair of sandals in US size 13 (women’s, of course) shown. The shoe style looked pretty good to me. More progress!

Kudos to all the entrants who are showing open toe shoes and rocking pedis with color!! I’ve been browsing, checking the competition as it were, and it seems that the majority are embracing that look. Not to start a heated discussion, but I feel that if you’re gonna show toes in heels (or even other shoes), they look much better with polish! At least clear... A look I could readily embrace were dear wife more accepting of taking my hobby public. I personally think that open toe shoes should always be accompanied by a pedi of some sort, even glossy clear.

To belatedly answer Alphax’s question about the role of feet on a motorcycle - actually, feet play a big role. Most all bikes ha e a “manual transmission” (scooters and a very few others are exceptions.) the shifting mechanism is attached near the left footpeg or sometimes footrest, the shifting pattern is typically a push down for downshifting, a toe under the shifter and lift up for up shifting. On the right side is the rear brake control - motorcycles have separate front and rear brake controls, for good reason.

others may be more brave, but I would think Long and hard before riding one of my bikes in heels. Just my 2 cents worth.

Very nice boots! Kudos for “going public” with them. And aside from footwear - Santa Fe is a great place to visit, I like the surrounding area as well. Used to go about once a year when we lived in AZ, but haven’t been for many years since moving to the NW.

I’m a bit more partial to the second and fourth pairs, but all are very nice. you scored BIG!
