    From your posts (and handle!) I've inferred that you, like I, work in a field of technology. As to being bought out (or spun off, or whatever) and getting new marching orders from someone someplace that has no idea of your work culture, etc. - been there, done that. This will sound harsh, but - I've discovered/decided - ultimately, you have to take care of yourself. Yes, I am a BIG believer in ethics in the workplace, and I've struggled with leaving friends "stuck", but life is too short to keep slogging in a job where you clearly see that most of what you are doing is lining some one else's pocket while providing little or no value to customers or the world at large.

     

    I expect this will prove to be a blessing in the long term. Hang in there, best wishes! Regards, Logjam

    Guys Who Wear Polish On Their Toes - Where And How Often?

    Seeing the post in For the Guys, and re-reading the post in this section about men with polished toes got me to wondering. If you wear polish on your toes - where or by whom do you have them done, and how often do you get them done?

     

    Myself - occasionally, I always do my own. I've had pedicures off and on for several years but have not yet gotten the nerve to ask for polish, and the techs, so far, have not asked or offered.

    Highest Heel On Motorcycle

    You guys riding in heels are more brave than I! I'm an avid motorcyclist, but I'd be very reluctant to ride in heels. Well, maybe if I could find a pair of boots with no platform and a mid-height heel, around 3 to 4", I'd give it a try.

    Heels As Icons Or Logos?

    Hi All,

     

    Steve's post about the wine glasses with high heel decorations (For Everybody forum) got me to thinking. What other places have you seen heels used as accessories, logos, icons, or similar? My Garmin Zumo 660 (motorcycle) GPS has an optional, downloadable vehicle icon which is a brightly colored pair of pumps. I'll try to figure out how to get a screen shot to post soon.

     

    What other clever uses have you seen?
