  1. Today, I'm wearing one of the "cutest" shoes in my closet. It's what my DH calls a baby doll pump. They're from Jessica Simpson and feature a rounded toe and a 4 inch heel. Very comfy for a 4 inch heel and all day at the office...thank goodness, no meetings today!! Have a good day everyone!

  2. She was wearing skinny jeans and a tunic-type sweater. I saw her while DH and I were having dinner in a casual restaurant this past weekend. My DH, like Patsy's, thought they looked like "clodhoppers". Overall, the look worked for her, but I don't think I'd wear them enough to make it a good investment. Just saving my pennies for something else I want more. Debbi

  3. Jenny, I've never tried these on but I saw a girl wearing them this past weekend. As much as she tried to look as though she could handle them, I could tell the shoes were winning! Interesting to hear your report that they were reasonably easy to walk in. It certainly looks as though the opposite would be true. Let's see if anyone else has tried them or seen them! Thanks for telling us what they are like to actually wear! Debbi

  4. Hey HEELS2U, Love the JS boots!! Although a bit narrow, I bet they'll be comfy after you break them in! What brand are the pumps you posted. I had some similar a few years ago that were Gloria Vanderbilt. They were royal blue with the scalloped back. Loved 'em! Debbi

  5. Happy Friday! For an unusally busy day with lots of meetings, I had to forego "casual Friday" this week. Being on my feet all day required a comfortable shoe, but something that was dressy as well. So, I'm wearing t-strap pumps from Nine West. They are leather with suede trim and are really cute....and wonderfully comfy!

    Have a great weekend!

    Very classy debbi.

Here I am with my wife today in vince camuto.

Those are some really "boss" boots!!

  6. Debbi,

You have great taste. I love those shoes and you wear them very well. Bluejay is right! Thanks for posting. Enjoy your day!

    Steve

    Hi Debbi,

Your purple shoes look very nice on you. Truly a classic shoe with the ankle strap.

    Enjoy your weekend.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

    Thanks bluejay and Steve!!

  7. Today, I'm wearing a classic...at least in terms of my closet! I bought these shoes over 10 years ago and they have been a favorite from day one. I just love the shade of purple and I love shoes with ankle straps! These shoes show very little toe cleavage but the high back and ankle strap add a lot of interest. In case you're interested they are from Ann Marino. Hope everyone has a great day!

  8. Well, I did forget to mention Jessica Simpson on my list. I have several pairs and love each of them. The JS "Henri" pump is a round toe baby doll pump that so cute yet sexy at the same time. I have the JS "Dafa" wedges and I adore them!!!! They are my "go to" shoe for the weekends.

  9. I do wear a lot of Nine West shoes especially to work. They are, for the most part, very comfortable and not so overly expensive that I can't have a closet ful inclusing some trendy styles! Now, I have several pairs of "designer" shoes in my closet (Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman et. al.), but they are reserved for special occasions. But Nine West, BCBGirls, Bandolino, Giani Bini and Bakers make up the bulk of my shoe wardrobe. After fighting a bad cold all week...I'm glad it's Friday! For today, I'm leaving the heels at home and wearing a pair of red flats from Bandolino with jeans (casual Friday...the only day I can get away with wearing jeans to work). Have a great weekend!

  10. For as long as I can remember I have loved pumps with toe cleavage, especially slingbacks with a four-inch heel. The only drawback is that they do not dangle is well as conventional pumps. But in my experiences with dangling, when the shoe drops off of my toes, someone eager to replace it always appears.

You are so right! I'm a shoe dangler and there is definitely an art to pushing the envelope and dangling just to the point of losing your shoe. And since this is Super Bowl week, sometimes a reciever drops a pass...and sometimes I drop a shoe! E is correct that dangling a slingback is not as easy as a conventional pump, but it's fun nonetheless. I, too, have had gentlemen offer to replace my shoe when I've dropped one. They appear out of thin air! And you know they've been watching....and hoping!

As for toe cleavage, my DH is a real fan. He rates my shoes on the "cleavage factor". He says it's a real turn-on to see beautiful shoes and toe cleavage.

Here's a photo he took some time ago of me modeling a pair of Mary Janes with some seriousl cleavage!

    Have a great day everyone!

  11. I've been dancing all night tonight, in my cowgirl boots, which are only 2 inch. But it ocurred to me how much better it is to dance in heels than flats. They put you on the balls of your feet, so the natural spring of your ankle takes the shock instead of your knees. I've had lots of fun.

Megan, you are so right about dancing in heels! It makes dancing so easy and takes the strain off the knees. I have a pair of Stuart Weitzman pumps that I have designated my "dancing shoes" because the heel height (3 inches) is perfect for dancing. If we're going to an event where there is going to be any dancing, I'm building my wardrobe around my SWs!

  12. Larry, thanks for posting the article! Frankly, I grow a little tired of organizations and "groups" telling me what's good and what's bad for me. I am an adult. I make my own decisions. If it's not high heel shoes, it's soft drinks or some other activity that "they" do not approve. Ugh!!! Leave me alone!!! I only own one pair of Louboutins (Pigalle 100), but the next on my want list is the Bianca! I was thinking about the Bianca 140....but now that I've read this article, I'm going for the 160!!

  13. TGIF!!! A casual Friday with frozen precipitation forecast by mid afternoon...so it's time to stay warm! With well worn boot cut jeans, I'm wearing my black leather boots from BCBGirls. Wonderfully comfy boots that are sooo soft! Yes, I did pack another pair of shoes for the evening commute in case things get slippery! Have a great weekend!

  14. Well, I have to say, I've never thought of feet quite that way, HEELS2U. :surprised: But, everyone has their own idea...and I'll take it as a compliment! This particular style tends to run pretty much true to size, but my feet were cold when the photo was taken so they kinda shrunk! Plus, I was at the beginning of a serious dangle (my DH loves dangling) when the pic snapped before I left for work!

  15. Well it warmed up a little since yesterday...only 25F this morning! But tomorrow is forecast to be cold with frozen precipitation later in the day...so boots will be the footwear of choice Friday! Today, it's a plain tailored pump in pewter metallic leather from Nine West. Hope everyone has a great day! PS. Thank you for all the nice comments...I always wanted to be shoe model when I was growing up!

  16. Bluejay, you are welcome. Glad to have a chance to post the story. There were some other people in the store who seemed appalled that a man would be trying on womens shoes...watching them was downright fun, too. While I have my share of "designer shoes"...I only buy them in classic styles...so they are not about to go out of style next season. I also love many of the styles Nine West has to offer and for a moderate price, I can try some trendy styles and colors. To me, shoes are simply fun and a great way to spice up an outfit! Perhaps NW will print your review. I've had a number of mine added to their website over the years. Good luck!

  17. I have to relate this story that happened over the holidays: My DH and I went shopping at an outlet mall after Christmas. While my DH stepped into the tool outlet I walked over to the Nine West store since they had sent me a coupon with a very nice discount! While I was in the store and I browsing around, I rounded the end of one of the display cases and there was a man trying on a pair of black pumps. I wasn't expecting to see him and I don't think he was expecting to see me, but we made eye contact and he simply smiled and went about the business of trying on the shoes and walking around a bit. I noticed the style was the same as one that I had purchased previously and they tended to run a little small. I casually mentioned to him that he might want to size up a half size since I owned the same shoes and that worked well for me. He thanked me and continued smiling. He caught my eye again as he moved to pay for his shoes and offered me a thumbs up! Hopefully, he's somewhere enjoying his Nine West pumps!!
