  1. I like to reserve "casual Friday" for Fridays, but today was just one of those days when I decided I needed to step it up! It's cold today, so some nice boot cut jeans...and boots! The boots are from Nine West and they are very warm!! Have a great day everyone!

  2. Nothing to do so I went to the mall to take a pic for debbi.

I was in dillards when this "older" lady asked me if I was shopping for my wife. I said no and lifted my pant leg to show her my boots. If you have ever seen the movie "something about marry", this lady looked like the old lady that was always tanning. IE, she might have been 50 but looked 100. You know the type, skin tight

Leopard pants, bright toenail polish and hi heels.

As I was leaving I walked past her. She asked if I bought anything. I said no, just looking. So she asked what I was looking for. I ended up sitting next to and talking to her. She asked why I wear heels. I said its what I like and why should woman have all the good shoes. I asked her what she thought. She said she did not care, she has gay friends. I said I'm not gay,in fact I am married. We talked for quite a while. I would have liked to talked more but I was hungary.

She asked me about these white fuzzy boots with black dots. They suited her style, but I didi not say that.

They had these in size 8

I've got to get over to Dillards before the sale is over. One thing about Dillards....their after season sales are awesome...they'll almost give you the clothes and shoes!!!

Was out of town this past weekend and did a little shoe shopping and you'll see them later this week!

  3. OK, it's probably time I started a thread! :)

We've all seen shoes that we just knew we had to have...they are our "Ultimate Holy Grail" (UHG).

Here's your chance to let us in on the secret...what shoes are your UHG???

As for me...right now, they are the Christian Louboutin "Filo" 120.

  4. At one point I wore heels every day. Then when I'd switch to flats on the weekends my legs would hurt like crazy. I mentioned to a friend, who is an orthopeadic surgeon, about the pain I was experiencing. He suggested switching up my shoes and not wearing heels everyday...but the trick was to get my leg and foot muscles to "reset". It took a couple of weeks of no heel wearing, but I finally got my calf muscles stretched to the point that I had no pain when wearing flats or low heels. It was truly an experience of "no pain no gain". For instance... I wore heels on Monday, flats yesterday, mid-wedges today and will probably wear heels again on Thursday. But I stay away from days on end in heels.

  5. I don't like rain in the best of circumstances, but trying to walk on grass after it has rained, is a recipe for disaster, for the shoes and the grass.

I have to agree with Patsy...soft ground and heels are not compatible! I'll add one more...heels and loose gravel. Talk about something that will ruin a pair of heels, gravel will simply chew the leather off of a heel faster than anything except a ultility grate on a sidewalk!

  6. I'll chime in on this one... The eBay thing is something that constantly amazes me. I shop for some of my designer shoes on eBay. I love Louboutins but hate to pay full price (I have and it hurts for months). Poor lighting, out of focus pictures and no variety of angles and then ask me to pay $600? Nope...not gonna do it! Also, it makes me nuts to see someone wear shoes that are too big and they are constantly walking out of them UGH! Nasty!!

  7. First time flying in heels! Second time out in these heels!

Just wanted to tell all about my last weekend trip. First time flying in heels and wearing my red Brash pumps in public for the second time. I had much support from several members here at HHPlace and really appreciate the advice which helped my confidence.

I flew from Atlanta to Baltimore Thursday and back on Sunday!

I headed off from home in my red pumps for the hour+ drive to a hotel near the airport to park my car. The front desk clerk, a younger good looking girl spotted me walking across the parking lot and as soon as I walked in stated, those are some hot heels! She asked about how I liked them and how long I had been wearing heels. She took my picture for me in the lobby before the shuttle arrived. She just loved the look. I asked what she thought about my air flight in heels and said go for it you look good. Off I went in the shuttle.

Got dropped off at the outside kiosk and checked my bag. Headed to TSA screening. No problem there and the folks behind me got a good look as I removed the pumps and placed them in the bin. No comments from TSA at all. Had to take advantage of the bench’s after the screening to put them back on but didn’t see anybody caring at all. Headed off to the underground train and my concourse and gate. Had a fellow take a picture of me waiting for the train but so what.

At the gate I had almost an hour and a half wait for my flight. While waiting I had my legs crossed and heels in full view. Had two younger women opposite me take pictures and comment how great the look was. One came over to sit with me and asked where I had purchased them as she needed a red pair herself. She also took a picture of me with my phone camera for me. A few minutes later another older women sat down across and immediately said she just loved my heels. Asked how I could walk in them as she didn’t think she could. She also took a photo. Anther women walked by several times and gave me the thumbs up and finally stopped for a final compliment. All these gave me a real rush and more confidence.

The flight was fine although my feet became sore from all the walking as the airport is quite large. After sitting my feet must have had a bit of swelling and after departing in Baltimore at the farthest gate from baggage claim I had to take them off and switch back to ugly men’s shoes. Would have been better if they were broken in.

Had a guys weekend away and spent Saturday in my Marcie knee boots with 4” heels with no comments from any of the guys.

My flight back from Baltimore was again in the red pumps. Same as Atlanta other than no comments at all from anybody. Had another hour plus wait at the gate with legs crossed and pumps in plain view. I sat in a row of seats with one other guy and 4 women and nobody said a thing. Not as friendly up north, I guess, but again nothing negative. Flight home was fine and my trip was a heeling success. I had a great time and the rush of wearing heels was fantastic!!

Guy’s if you have any concerns take it from me and just do it! Some of the advice given to me was wear the red pumps! Another was just put them on and go! That’s just what I did with no regrets.

The picture of myself standing was taken by the front desk clerk at the hotel. The rest were taken at the gate in Atlanta and Baltimore. J Sorry for rambling on.

    JimnJ3,

I must say you looked very nice in your heels! They matched your sweater perfectly!

Thanks for sharing your story and if I may be so bold to ask, what brand are they? They appear to be a lovely shade of red....and I love the style! I would have probably been like one of the girls in Atlanta!

  8. Don't have much time, on the road.

Here is yesterdays shoe. I think debbi likes these. 18+hrs in them. Went in 3 shoe stores

Including DSW. In atlanta. Took me 20min to go in a rest stop to pee. Yes someone saw

Them. Also went to pizza hut and ate. The paint job is bad, it was not dry

When I went to bed. I would love to see these shoes on a woman.

Todays pumps are going to be painful. I think they shrunk. Gottat stop putting

Them In the dryer. I have not worn these in a few years.

They were originally orange. They are quite old and need some touch up work.

It might not be so bad if I was not stuck in a car, especially right after putting them on.

Anyone elses feet kinda "shrink" after putting on tight shoes? It will usually take about

A half hour but a snug shoe in the morning is a perfect fit the rest of the day, maybe

Even getting a bit lose. I'm still waiting for my foot to "adjust".

Here I am at the hotel. Now I am mcdonalds with them pretty much in the open.

Hey, ill never see these people again.

Just drank a lot of DR pepper, that can't be good.

Well I have had them on about 8hrs now. Better now that I can walk around. Went to

Walmart. Some young kid to a second look as he passed but kept on walking. Getting

Ready to go to the grocery store.

Got to catch up on ev eryones posts.

    Debbi,

Looks like you have some woods around your house. I love that. Your yard looks very

    Nice.

I have a little Over an acre and there are woods and spa ce around us. I am going to feel dumb

After asking, but what does DH stand for.

My wife might say Dumber Half, or dorky half, or maybe dense half

Here is what I just bought before I left. I can only leave it up for a short time.

Please don't mention the type of car in case my wifes friend joins the site. Althought

As much as she loves heels I am surprised she is not already on here.

Is just to protect my wife.

Its an 86 with 42k miles on it. Spent about 6 months of serious looking to find it. Very

    Frustrating.

I got my first ticket in over 15yrs. 83 in a 70. I did not tell him I was just doing 135.

Oh, I had on heels, my brown western boots. Wore them to fly up and drive it home.

I don't know what is going on. I got another ticket yesterday. Not in that though.

I NEVER get tickets. I don't know what is going on but I am seeing more cops

On the road than I have ever seen.

    HEELS,

Love the shoes! And that you wore them to "Micky Ds" is cool! Yes, I reside on a rather large lot with lots of trees almost in the middle of town. Congrats on your new acquisition!

    HEELS2U,

When DebbiNC refers to her DH, as she calls him, that stands for "Dear Husband". Right Debbi?

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

bluejay, you would be correct! DH = Dear Husband. DBF = Dear Boy Friend. This is a little texting shorthand that sprung on ya!

Today, I'm wearing a cute little wedge heel from BCBGirls. They work perfectly with either pants or a skirt! Plus, they are comfy, too!!

    Have a great day!

  9. Debbi,

Even though we have seen them before, they still look very nice on you. Your DH must of enjoyed taking that pic of you with the nice toe cleavage showing. Very nice!

This is what I wore yesterday, Sunday to church and to do a few errands after church.

My new Bandolino "Tapestery" purple suede pumps with a 3-1/2" stacked heel, with purple dress pants, deep purple silky shirt with matching tie and black leather blazer with purple pocket square.

    Have a great day.

    Happy heeling,

    bluejay

Thanks, bluejay! You're very kind. My DH has really gotten in to the photography thing! The Bandolino pumps are very pretty I need to break out some of my purple shoes...especially during Lent!

mmm love the shoes Debbi, hope you had a good day in your sexy slingbacks

    Louise x

Thank you, Louise! One guy in the office must be a shoe/foot lover because I noticed he watched my feet a lot yesterday!

If I had to guess, I'd say you wear L'eggs Sheer Energy suntan a lot. (so do I) :-)

I do wear L'eggs in suntan and wear Sheer Energy at lot in the winter since they tend to be a little thicker. Most of the time I wear Sheer Elegance in "Barely There".

Love the shoes, Debbi. I'm a big fan of slingbacks.

    Steve

I love slingbacks too...they always seem to get their share of attention! Thanks for commenting!

  10. Humour is a great way to diffuse a bad situation. It's such a stupid thing to get offended by.

If the guy is wearing jeans most of the shoe is covered anyway.

What's a person going to do, start thinking every guy they walk by could be wearing lingerie under their suit?

It may be a bit odd at first, but as soon as more guys do it, then it won't be an issue.

When Christian Louboutin.starts making heels in size 44 & up, you'll know you have arrived.

Or maybe he comes out with a "Guys in Heels" collection.

Why should women be the only ones silly enough to pay $1000+ for a pair of his shoes?

Patsy, my thoughts exactly!!!! As I have said before, perhaps in another thread, if I was required to wear what men wear on a daily basis, I'd go nuts. No sense of self, no sense of expression just the same ol' same ol'. Plus, if I want to grab DH's shirt and wear it, it's OK. But if he decides to wear something of mine (if it would fit) then something is wrong with him. It's just plain silly!

Guys, if wearing heels makes you feel good....just do it! (I think someone alrerady owns the rights to that phrase.) Will I perhaps do a double take if I see you in the grocery store? Probably. Will I think less of you? Absolutely not.

Life at its longest is painfully short...we should find a way to accept each other as human beings...and quit worrying about the small stuff...and it's all small stuff.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  11. I agree it's a shame to hide the lacing detail... wear with leggings maybe?

    Have a great day too.

I have worn them with leggings...but they were a little too casual for the office...but certainly on the weekend!!

Oh, that's slick, Debbi! Definitely cool boots!

Thanks, JeffB!! I think they're cool, too. I remember when I first saw them and I knew they'd go home with me!

Cute boots, Debbi! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your "Friday-eve" - good way to put it!

    Heels up!

    Steve

Thank you, Steve. Enjoy your day!

  12. Happy Thursday!! (aka Friday-eve) A chilly morning and it's pants and boots today. These cute boots are from Nine West and feature an interesting leather lacing on the back. Unfortunately, when wearing pants, you don't get to see the lacing....so I just pulled up my pant leg so you could see it! Have a great day, everyone!

  13. Nice looking pics, as usual Debbi. Thanks for posting.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

    Thanks a bunch, bluejay!

Yeah, what Bluejay and the other Debbi Fan Club members said. Great pics. I love the color of your nail polish, Debbi! It's very attractive.

    Steve

Thank you, Steve. The nail color is "It's Greek to Me" by OPI.

Well, I'm certainly sold on those sexy looking wedges, Debbi! Absolutely sensational! I'm sure others here have already said this, but you have GREAT taste in shoes!

Thanks, Jeff B! I'm known as the "shoe queen" in my family!

Debbi, those wedges look super-cute and shown off nicely with the cropped trousers, what a great look! Do you get approving reactions at work or jealous reactions?

There's nothing like that moment of dipping your foot into a shoe, guys shoes just don't have that magic.

    Thanks for sharing.

Hi SleekHeels! Since I work in a male dominated business, I'd say I get more approving reactions. I enjoy clothes and shoes and do my best to dress appropriately but have some fun with fashion, too!

Very classic and classy wedges Debbi. Great style!

    Thank you so much, beepy!

  14. liking the wedges and the cute flats debbi :-) x

    Thanks, Louise!

Nothing wrong with seeing them again. besides, its a better pic. You can really see the heel height. Those look to be higher than what you normally wear.

Glad you don't mind seeing them again. I couldn't remember if I had posted them before. These are 4.5 wedges and there is about a 1/2 inch hidden platform so the pitch equals a 4 inch heel. Nine West was very generous with the padding inside these shoes so they are very comfy!

  15. I'm in a repeat mode today (I think I've posted these before). But as we were leaving for work today, I had DH take a couple of pics of my shoes, which he is always glad to do. Today's shoes are black patent wedge heels by Nine West. They are really comfy for all day at the office and still have a subtle sexiness about them. Also, DH got a shot of me dipping my foot into my shoe and suggested that I share that as well. So, here you are! Have a great day everyone!

  16. It's Friday!!!! For a short day at the office today (gotta run a lot of errands this afternoon) I chose a flat with textured hosiery today. The flats are black patent leather from J Crew. My DH loves to see me in heels, but these are his favorite flats! Have a great weekend everyone!

  17. Hey, can I join the Debbi Fan Club, too? Love the shoes, Deb! They are indeed cute and you look great in them! lol

    :pulsingheart: Happy Valentines Day!

    Steve

Thanks, Steve! It's been fun sharing shoe photos!

Very nice look Debbi. I like the grey stripe on your slacks. It looks like they may be part of a suit you are wearing today.

What no red? Today's Valentines Day. I am going to wear some red later when I take my wife out for a late lunch or late dinner. Her choice. We don't want to get caught in all the crowds between 5 & 9 pm, today.

Hope your DH is going to treat you today too.

    Happy Valentines Day.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

Bluejay, out of camera range I'm wearing a white blouse with a red sweater! Hope you have a great Valentines Day!
