E, that is an awesome sandal! What color is yours? I love the black, but the fushia is also TDF!

I know Patsy is building a pretty good collection and she'd certainly be an excellent resource insofar as wearability of the Daff is concerned. As for me, as much as I love the Daff, I would suggest considering the Bianca, Pigalle or the Decollette. All three are classic designs that should always be in style. Congrats on the nerw addition to your family!!!

In reading through this thread, I have become very discouraged in what seems to have morphed from a sincere apology into a finger pointing exercise about who posts where and whose a genetic female and whose an imposter. Suffice it to say, the fact that anyone spends any time at all on this site is evidence of a common interest: shoes...and high heels in particular. To me, shoes are as much about an artform as they are about fashion. Since this particular thread came up and been expanded upon, this board has literally died! And that's a real shame! Think we can get back to having some fun???

Happy Monday! Although yesterday was kinda damp, I did break out my open toe heels to wear on Easter. After a a nice pedicure on Saturday, there was no way I was going to cover up my toes! Hope everyone has a great day! And here are the flats I referenced last week. Navy kid leather from Talbot's...with many miles on them!

Debbi,
Sometimes you have to be double jointed to get the right pic!
Thanks, for sharing your pic, and yes flats can be attractive too.
Happy Heeling,
bluejay
Thanks bluejay! It turned out that getting off the floor was a major adventure after contorting myself to get the photo! I agree, flats can be as attractive as heels sometimes!
Nice self photo debbi.
Thanks so much!
Nice pic Debbi, love the heels!
Thank you!! These are from my Classic Pumps collection and are the navy Rossi style.
Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks around my house and I realize I haven't contributed much to this thread during that time. So, here's a quickie! I took this photo earlier this week, but didn't have a chance to post it until this morning. My DH is away on business, so it's self-photographed (that's why I'm sitting on the floor!). Have a great day everyone! (BTW, I'm in flats today!) Debbi

Looks like the designer got inspiration from Christian Louboutin marrying up the platform from a Bianca and the heel of a Lipsinka! I love the way the sides are cut...but not too fond of the heel.

I have 2 for my UHG...
First - Louboutin Very Prive 120 in black leather with the red peep toe
Second - Louboutin No Prive in black leather with red peep toe
(I couldn't attach pictures I found, but they're of similar styling. only differing in that the No Prive is a slingback; Very Prive is a closed heel)
I like both of those Loubies! The VP 120 is one of my favorites!

I have to say I get amused at all the "dire warnings" that are out there by "those who know better". If it isn't coffee, it's soda, if it isn't high heels, it's tight underwear! Personally, I adhere to a philosophy of moderation in all things. If shoes hurt, I either don't buy them or wear them. Heels everyday? Nope, I mix it up...and I love having the freedom to choose. (and yes, I may buy a Big Gulp occasionally) I just wish these so-called experts concentrated on something that was really important! Have a good day everyone!

I truthfully can't say it bothers me one way or another. Other boards that I frequent (shoes and fashion) aren't gender specific and sometimes the men (although few in number) do offer some interesting points of view. While I do think men make up the overwhelming majority of posters on this site...their presence in a general chat forum doesn't bother me although I see it could be off putting to some women. My main reason for being on the site is to enjoy talking albout shoes and sharing pics. Women seem to post so infrequently to the "Girls Only" forum that I post most of my entries in the "Everybody" forum. I certainly don't mind conversing with men about shoes, either. I have to admit I check the "Guys" board on this site from time to time and find it somewhat entertaining reading of their adventures in the real world wearing heels. I get amused when they complain about their feet hurting! As for following the rules, yes, I think everyone should. But in the world of internet forums, I doubt there is a foolproof way to do it. At least not now. Let's have some fun here!

HEELS2, I love your new boots! And thanks for the photos of my shoe "shrine"!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on the purple pumps! I have a really crazy busy week in front of me, but I'll try to post a few pics if I can. HEELS2U, I love the new boots....and for some reason the brown ones are my fav! Have a good week everyone!

Nice choice, Debbi! In my mind, there's no sharper, or sexier shoe around than a plain black pump, and yours look great!
JeffB, I agree, there is something special about a black pump. It goes with everything from jeans to dresses!
Yeah, what JeffB said! They look fantastic. Thanks for the eye candy!
Steve
You are welcome, Steve! Thank you!!
Looking great Debbi, as usual !
Thanks for the pic.
Happy Heeling,
bluejay
Thank you, bluejay! I enjoy your contributions, too!
Classic black courts/pumps, nice one Debbi
Thanks a bunch! Nothing beats the "perfect" black pump!

Kinda rainy and wet around here today, so I went after some older shoes that have seen wet conditions before. Snapped at my desk with my cell phone, this pair of pumps from BCBGirls are some of my all time favs! They feel as though they were made especially for me...and the leather is nappa kidskin and is so soft! They have lot's of miles on them, but they still look good! Hope everyone has a great day!

Nice slingbacks Debbi and the photos are good too.
Nine West seem to have nice shoes.
Thank you so much! Nine West shoes are good reasonably priced shoes. They are my "go to" shoes for work!
Hahey debbi, had my nine west on today too. Had two veeeeeery long walks in them. The first
Was about a 1/3 mile walk to lunch. That was rough. Not only did my left ankle bother
But the outside of my left calf was tightening up. The walk back was better. The second
Trip was a little longer but was better. I see the woman here making long treks in heels.
Let me tell ya, I have seen some incredible shoes here. These woman/girls don't play
Around when it comes to heels.
I did see this one girl with very hi boots on come in and find the bench and sit down.
I have to assume her feet were hurting.
I think I have had 7-8 looks at my feet. I am sure its a matter of time before
I am asked.
HEELS, as one who has walked the streets of New York when it was raining and I couldn't get a cab, I can sympathize with the woman who had to sit down. I stopped in a Starbucks and got coffee just to have a minute to rest my feet! Sometimes no matter how comfortable, heels can turn into a painful experience!
DebbiNC..
What stockings are you wearing in those pictures? Ive sort of started to leave my ankles exposed a bit as of recent and believe stockings would help or make things more pleasent. Not something I really wanted to do but..
I wanted something that looks really smoothe but doesnt have a ' hooters girl ' shine to it. I like the ones in your recent pic above.
Thanks!

I am wearing L'eggs Sheer Elegance in "Barely There". They are my preferred shade for winter.
Very nice, Debbi! Very nice indeed! Sharp looking slingbacks like those can easily go from the office to the office party. Once again, your fine sense of style shines through!
Thank you, JeffB! I appreciate your nice comments!
Those slingbacks are beautiful Debbi. I have a similar pair but they have a bigger platform and are slightly too low-cut around the toes, I much prefer yours. Your red boots from last Friday are fantastic too. Thanks for posting, you're always inspiring me to try new looks I hadn't thought of before.
I really like your slingbacks, too! What brand are they? Thanks, also, for your nice comments!
Debbie and Sleek, both are fabulous....makes me want a pair also!
Thank you! Sounds like there may be some retail therapy in your future!

Again you are looking good!! Quality is fine!
I find it hard to take a photo of myself wearing heels, they usually come out a bit blurry. Yours are good!
Thanks,
Jim
Thank you, Jim! I wasn't sure how the pics would turn out but was happy they looked good!
Debbi, those look good on you!
Regards, Logjam
Thanks for your nice comments!
Looking good like usual Debbi! Those are some sheer hose!
Thanks a bunch! The hosiery is Sheer Elegance in "Barely There" and they are really barely there!
Very nice Debbi. Your new Nine West heels look lovely on you.
Since we are both fans of Nine West, "Heels Up To Nine West"
Happy Heeling,
bluejay
I'll raise a glass to Nine West. I've been wearing them for years and the value is still there. I have my share of investment/designer shoes, but for work, it's hard to beat NW!
-
I had to do a little self photography today since my DH had to leave home early on a business trip, so pardon the quality! On a weekend trip last weekend I had to do a little shopping and managed to pick up these new slingback pumps at Nine West. They have a four inch heel and a half inch platform and are wonderfully comfortable! Hope everyone's day is good!

She does wear heels but mostly chunky mid-heels...nothing much over 2 inches. She wears nice clothes, but ruins the look with her shoes (shoes can make or break any outfit).
-
I love her collection!!! Great find!
-
Not to mention it usually makes a person walk funny.
EXACTLY! She walks like her feet are killing her...and I suppose they are trying desparately to keep the shoes on!
-
Patsy, I know what you mean about hemming pants! With heels they are just right...with flats, they're dragging the ground. I've found that some of the "hem tape" available at places like Stein Mart is great for getting pants to the right length. It takes a little time, but it's better than tripping over pants that are too long! Love the Daffs in your photos....and the Biancas are TDF!
-
Jim, the reason I mentioned the issue about wearing shoes too big is that I work with a person who wears shoes too big all the time. It's not a matter she could not find a smaller size, it just seems that's what she does! Now I have a pair or two that are a little big, but that has come from repeated wear and I pad them to take up the extra room...but she doesn't! I can hear her shoes slapping from a mile away! Thank you for your nice comments!
-
Without a platform, I have to stop at about four inches if I am going to be wearing them for any length of time. I've had a pair of five inch heels and they looked hot...but they were murder to wear!

Thank you bluejay!
It was a little cool here too, but I was not to be denied!
You looked very dapper in your Easter outfit...and the Danskos really worked well!
Have a great day!
