  1. i have to say i hate it when my liking for heels is referred to as a fetish. fetish spells out to many a strong sexual almost perverted appeal towards an object (or part of the body). You mention the word fetish to the average joe and they associate it with unusual behaviour and a liking in respect of something different but in a sick sort of way. Yes us wearing heels is an unusual different sort of thing but fetish isnt the word id describe it with. it creates the wrong impression. fashion and spice of life and freedom and enjoyment of heels is along the right lines. just because u like something doesnt make it a fetish. I like to wear a gold chain and sometimes an earing. wearing an earing or a chain doesnt mean i have a fetish for jewllery.

  2. i think although is it a strong interest, it comes and goes like most things. i was obsessed with snooker at one point. I dont think ive played a game for over a year now although i still like the game. I think heels are the same u lose interest for a bit but oneday comes and u feel like, oo i just fancy....

  3. heel d i do like to top pair of your examples. chris100_575 i agreed with your post for ages, if shoes are girly styled it was usually for the benefit of heels, but recently ive come to appreciate how good what i used to call boring flats can look nl

  4. i admit that some flat styles are cool. such as the slider mules everyone wears and the cool style flats and mj ones etc. i suspect its again because there i such an interesting variety that isnt on our mens boring shelves... nl

  5. i agree with tljakes here been a guy with larger feet your 5 and 5.5in heels give the same lift as the average small footed girls 4inch heels. i know people that almost live in their 4in heels on tiny feet, yet have no problem when going to play sports in flat shoes etc. joints are fairly supple and given the length of time you have been 'training' its odd that you have to remain in that heel height. even if you wear 5.5in heels all day every day, you would still be able to wear say 3in or 4in heels without pain in the same way i normally wear flat shoes at work etc, but i have flexibility to step into 5inch heels and walk with no problems. as to the principle, its appeal is an exciting fantasy thought. rather like the popular threads on locking heels on so they cant be removed etc. permenantly training to wear nothing but heels has this sort of effect, but in reality i wouldnt imagine that to be practical as there are going to be situations where you need to wear flat shoes.... cutting grass, on the beach diy etc. i think its more a living out a fantasy type thing without longer term thought of the reporcussions but thats just my opinion...

  6. ive had a similar pair before. they do what they say and increase height but they dont really feel like high heels. there was an insole with a wedge foam piece at the rear inserted into a shoe that had a slightly higher back than normal shoes. youd have to look hard to tell. i had a mid height pair and to be honest it still felt like a flat shoe so if you are hoping for a secret feel of a 4in heel then this is not the one for you im afraid nl

  7. i have said it before and will say again. I can highly reccomend the City Inn Westminster. Booked through the superbreaks.com website the 4star hotel can be stayed in at about £60 per night pperson, and is an excellent new modern hotel about 5 minutes walk from the houses of parliament. Once stopping through london on the off chance there might be a cheap room in this place, they reception informed me that for an unbooked price they wanted £170 per night! so the above is somewhat of a bargain. nl

  8. susan i guess they were describing an opposite. the girl described herself as open minded, which in most peoples defenition means someone who is open to ideas that arent the norm. Someone who has the memory span to look or think and say yeah thats different but whats the big deal. However seen as the girl suggested hes gay just because he likes something different, and then had the cheek to suggest he needs help would suggest she wasnt open minded at all, simply the opposite. Dont get me wrong if the girl is adament that it doesnt float her boat then fair enough, perhaps she is the wrong person, and i do believe she has the right to make that choice if thats how she wants to think. However it is also the mans right that the women should respect that it is his choice to do what he feels like as well without been labelled gay etc and insultingly suggesting he needs help because that is just ignorant and rude and out of order!

  9. i suppose it depends what u want. personally i like to keep a low profile, but its catch 22 cos i enjoy the sounds of noisy heels and styles with pointed toes which are obviously likely to draw the unwanted attention. Low profile would mean a style that looks more or less like a typical blokes shoe at a quick glance, ie a high wedge with round/sq toe, cowboy boot styles or blocks, and probably under longer jeans. That way you are unlikely to be noticed at all and u can go about your happy way heeling in peace minding your own business unaffected. however i know from the meets etc not everyone is like me, some like to display outwardly hi look at me in doing something new stylish and different and wear a trendy outfit with their matching heels, and some like to just wear a noisy pair of yellow stilettos with 3/4 jeans so everyone can see and think sod what everyone thinks. however much we argue that theres maybe nothing wrong with this, ot WILL get easily noticed to most and not everyone in the world is on the same wavelengths and some will take it well, some will giggle. so as i said it depends which of the above you are trying to stand into, and have to accept the effects of each. you original point are we kidding ourselves is a good one i suppose. as Heel D says you can coordinate most outfits to to look fine, but until fashion changes in our favour reality mainly falls with the above examples.

  10. common sense would say u have less control in heels when driving no matter how astute we are at wearing em or driving in them. because of the heel we are forced to pivot on it to press the pedals with our toe. obviously higher the heel the more effect this will have. not to say it cant be done fairly easily, but it certainly makes the control a little more awkward
