  1. That's very kind of you to say Matt, thanks. The coordinated approach is what I feel most comfortable with, but I also admire others who go for a more bold style, as even if I think "I could never pull that off" it does inspire me to go a little out of my comfort zone sometimes. Even though I'm drawn towards quite conventional styles, it's great to see the diversity of others expressing their styles and personalities too.

Have you risen to your challenge of wearing those fabulous boots "outside with the trouser in" yet? I was really excited to wear my new tan knee boots (a good find late in the sales) for the first time last week, with dark blue skinny jeans (inside the boots) and a brown turtleneck jumper under a sand & brown quilted jacket. As I was browsing in a clothes store a young lady customer said "Wow, I love your boots! You wear them really well!" which really made my day as it's been weeks since anyone said anything to me, let alone with such enthusiasm. I told her it was lovely of her to say so and we wished each other a nice evening. I'm not sure any of this would've happened if I was wearing the same boots under my jeans.

Your story is encouraging, I think I need it, thank you. For the moment I have not done it, no time and not ready I think... I am looking for some skinny blue jeans.

All the best and glad for you!

P.S, do you have some pictures of you outfit?

  2. Those boots are a fantastic find Matt. The colour combination with black trousers is great, but if the contrast makes you feel more self-conscious than you're comfortable with, maybe you could try lighter colours like stonewashed blue skinny jeans, a white shirt and brown jacket (to match the brown of the heels of the boots), with a tan scarf, bag and/or hat if you like to accessorize. That's probably no less conscpicuous - people are going to notice those fabulous boots anyway - but the softer blend of colours may help you to feel more comfortable, I feel that a coordinated look overall helps people to get over the fact that you're wearing the "wrong" shoes because you're wearing the "right" shoes for the outfit. In that respect you could stick to the black trousers (with a black turtleneck top under a tan waterfall cardigan, for example) and achieve the same effect even with the contrast.

Thank you Sleekheels, you gave a great proposal, that I will look into. You made a very interesting point, and as I read in some of your previous posts, you are very good at matching clothes toegether to make a great look.

    Matt

  3. Hello

I bought my first pair of non blakc boots. I fancy for a long time a Tan colored pair, without finding the right one. I finally went for a pair of HK by Heidi Klum Suede leather boots, 70% off on EBay!!!

The are well made, conformtable and look really good.

Now the challenge is to wear them outside with the trouser in... as this color is much more noticeable the black...

    Here are some pictures.

    Comments and questions are welcome!

  5. Setting goals is a clear way of progressing. Achieving your goal is also boosting your self confidence and lead you to setting more challenging goals!

My last challenge (Yesterday) was to travel to the US wearing my new pair of bootie Michael Antonio. I felt quite well walking in the airports, but the one hour queue for the US immigration was difficult... Walking in heels is easy, but wearing heels for a long time is a harder job!

When I look back a few year, I have made a nice improvment, through small challenges, and when I look at myself in the Mirror, I see a men in heels, but when I wear my heels, I feel comfortable.

For the moment, I feel well when I am not in my hometown... Definetly the most challenging goal is my coming out... Too challenging for the moment, I need to build up confidence!

  6. This is true they look gay to me, which is also annoying for me. But they are also professional dancers, and most of the time, professional dancer have a little part of feminity, mostly due to the grace and smoothness of movment. Then the limit between gay and not gay is visibly difficult to make, and there is no point in doing it.. Let's not forget the gay community has been fighting for the right to be what they are in public, and this process is the same for Guys in heels. The only difference, which is really big, is that you will not risk the "Peine Capitale" for wearing heels, as it is the case in some awfull countries for gay people.

    Hi,

You look terrific with those shoes, and actually, they are not so much visible, as they really fit with your entire look, even if they "glitt" a bit...

You look really natural and relaxed in your pics even if I prefer some of your other shoes in Flickr, you definetely give a masculine look, with high heeled shoes, and I really like this!!

    Thank you for sharing!

  8. Man I would like to help but I can't at this moment and I'm about to get ready to move to another apartment myself. I'm sorry.

Thank you hh23, no problem, I made it with myus and I'll see if I can get them! I'll let know in the forum. I wish you a nice move, it's a tough job!
  9. I bought a pair of boots on eBay. The seller faced difficulties to ship internationally, that was a lot ofxstress for him as he struggled a lot and finally canceled the sale and refund my payment. I think if I can give him an address somewhere in the us, he will ship them there... Problem is I don't have an address in the US! Question is would anyone over here accept to receive the packet for me and then ship it to me. You would have to change the address and pay the international shipping cost. I will of course pay everything in advance via PayPal. I really love the boots, and am disappointed a lot, but can not convince the seller to do it for me. I would appreciate some help! Thank in advance! Matt.

  10. post-748-0-65800200-1358131864_thumb.jpgWell you guys I will start from the begining. In the past I would make the attempt to go walk inside the mall with my heels on either to just to grab something to eat or something but then I would chicken out fo some reason. Friday I threw all that out the window. I went to the mall wearing a blue t-shirt, aeropostale blue jeans, and Jeffery Campbell Lita boots to pick up my fiancee's engagement ring. I took a deep breath stepped out the car and started walking. My nerves started getting to me but each stride started to get more and more confident. It felt so good looking at my reflection from the glass windows of the stores I was walking by. I went and picked up the ring walked back to the food court to grab something to eat. As I was standing in line a woman (black) said that she liked my shoes. I said thanks. She asked me if I would raise my pants leg up so she could see and so I did and she was surprised and smiled. So after picking up my food I wished the lady to have a good day and she said the same to me and I was on my way. As I walked to my car I felt a very high sense of accomplishment. I think what drove me is that my fiance has always been there for me and supported me as far as the heels ordeal and everything else and it just felt like that was all I need. Plus reading the threads that you all have left gave me the extra boost to be confident in myself to show that I can be masculine and wear sexy shoes so thanks. Here is the photo hope you guys like it.

    Hi HH23!

Congratulation for your engagment first! Then secondely for your heeling! It feels really good to go out and finally it is not such a "Big" thing to do!!!

As usual, your look is sharp and everything fits well together.

    Regards, Matt

  11. I have bought (if I counted and remembered well) 32 pair of heels, divided as follow: 15 pairs of boots 3 pair of sandal 6 pairs of mules 8 pairs of pumps. But due to storing room very small, I have to get rid of some of them I don't like or wear. Actually as I buy all of them on the internet, sometimes, I have bad surprises regarding the look or the fit, but not that often I have to admit. What I have today is as follow: 9 pairs of boots 0 pair of sandal 2 pairs of mules 4 pairs of pumps. Which makes a total of 15 pairs. The ones I wear more frequentely are the boots with block heels, for the moment, no more stiletto heels. Not because I don't like them, but as I discovered to wear block heels made me much more confident, I keep on with this style for the moment, also my 8 latest purchase were of block heeled boots!!!

  12. Hello
