  1. The photos have been around for many years, and are most likely recycled. They originally appeared on Heike's high heels site. This was one of the photos that appeared on her site. http://www.heikesheels.de/bildermember/DSC03671.jpg. As you can see, same boots and outfit. Towards the end of her site being active, there was an association with a boot maker who made those for her. I have a feeling that it was the Spanish company that was around until a couple of years ago making some pretty extreme 50cm platform boots.

As for obtaining a pair from new now, I would suggest approaching Alan at www.Imakebootsngloves.com. I've seen photos on his site of platform shoes with 14" heels, for example http://www.imakebootsngloves.com/albums/album_image/7245355/7552540.htm which are made to order. There is no reason why he couldn't make a pair without the platform, but keep the overlength heel to give the effect required.

  2. As the maker says in the video comments, they come from a variety of sources around the world, not just one source. There are La Paizza creations in there, also 6ihf, probably Imakebootsngloves.com and most likely a number of makers no longer in business such as lsb.

Have you tried sending the maker of the video a message and asking him?

  3. Rockpup. You obviously are unaware that I own a free membership website, which contains no advertisements, banner links to affiliate programs or any source of income whatsoever and that all costs incurred in the creation and maintenance of that site are met by myself. So no, I would not describe myself as greedy. As for this site, I'll be honest with you but it actually has very little value to me, because the majority of it's content relates to a subject that I have absolutely no interest in, namely MEN wearing high heeled shoes. That is why I rarely participate in it these days, except to reply to the odd request for information. I used to contribute a reasonable amount in terms of ORIGINAL photographs taken by myself (as apposed to web found copyright photos that appear in any number of threads), but no longer do so, because for every post of appreciation, there was an equal number who would simply demand more. The point of my original post was, however, that if this site is built solely on the business model requiring income from advertising and click throughs, it is doomed anyway, That is because more and more people are reverting to the likes of ad blocking to improve their browsing experience and, like myself, are not prepared to turn it off again. If Tech needs a more sustainable income stream, then he would be better looking towards an affiliate program linked to membership sites of similar interests. Of course, I realise the problem with that is that most of those sites are adult content sites, which would require some compromising of this sites terms and conditions.

  4. Richy: Do you remember a dozen years or so ago when ad's = pop-up hell? Could not click out of them since that would cause two more windows to spawn. Would have to reboot your computer. Google ad's is pretty benign compared to some of the crap advertisers used to try to pull.

Google ads may be pretty benign on the face ot it, but to me it's still advertising at that is a red flag to me. I have spent a considerable number of years actually fighting the ever increasing notion that companies are free to bombard and invade your private life with adverts when they feel free with little thought for whether you want to see their products or not. I'm now at a stage where I don't get junk mail delivered by the postman, and haven't received a cold calls on my telephone since September of 2010 thanks to the phone system I purchased specifically because it was designed that way. I have a notice on my front door, specifically stating that I want no free advertising, menus or charity bags put though it. I rarely watch live TV, usually recording programs and fast forwarding through advertising breaks because I have no interest in see them.

When I come on line, I am the same. I want to see what I want to see, not what someone else THINKS that I might want to see in the hope of scamming some money out of me.

To me, advertising exists SOLELY for the purpose of extracting money from people. It attempts to sell the products that cannot sell themselves because they are not good enough, to people who don't actually need them (because if they did, they would already have bought them).

  5. Unfortuantely, the likes of google HAVE made on line advertising intrusive to a lot of people, which is why ad blockers are now so popular. I loaded AB+ simply because I got to a stage where I felt like my on line activity was being stalked by google and such like. I'm sure that many others feel the same way. It's why google, facebook, yahoo and others have been forced to create opt-outs for their programs such as google analytics. And yes, I am opted out of every one of them and no, I won't be turning ad block off for this or any other site. Sadly, you've been caught up in a backlash against a marketing industry that knows that traditional advertising methods are now dead, because everyone has ways of ignoring/bypassing their product. When they branched out as more and more got online, their methods were often inappropriate and took people outside their comfort zone of how much invasion of their privacy they were prepared to accept. That's why ad blockers are now so popular with people. It's nothing to do with individal sites, it's all about the thought that the likes of google are recording your every keystroke and those adverts remind you of that fact every time you see a targeted advert.

  6. Can recommend very highly GianricoMori on ebay as a source.

    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Gianrico-Mori

Buy it now prices are high but the auctions regularly go for between £200 and £250. Sizes up to 45 eu which would have a 15.5cm heel (size 39 has a 14.5cm heel for guidance). Real leather and very long length normally with full length zip. For example

To give an idea of the leg length, the woman who wore these is 5'4" tall.

Postage to the UK was €15 and delivery took place within one week (but that was because they were a stock item).

All photos are mine, BTW, not internet finds so please respect that.

  7. I wonder if you can actually walk in them because they don't look sturdy.

Why would they be when they were never intended to be worn.

Remember, what you are looking at is a photograph of a piece of artwork created for a museum exhibition, which a company is fraudulently trying to pass off as a genuine item of footwear.

  8. This I sort of mentioned in case anyone remembered of if anyone knows how to contact Spook but she did not answer any of my inquireies as to the maker of her ballet boots.

I can answer that, because I was the person that gave them to her. They were Little Shoe Box ankle length ballets in a size 5 uk.

  9. I was reading some of this old thread http://www.hhplace.org/topic/11007-do-women-like-men-in-heels/, and this most recent comment struck a chord.

Megan I think most women are tolerant of men wearing heels but that number reduces dramatically when it's their own man wanting to wear heels. Women such as my wife are still a rare breed but generally I think the 'live and let live' philosophy is stronger today than ever.

I'm glad that he used the word tolerate and not accept. For me, there is a huge difference, which most members of this forum probably fail to appreciate. Bear in mind that I write this as an outsider to the desires or beliefs of most members of this board, in that I have no interest in wearing heels myself or in seeing men in heels. When I joined, this was Jenny's site and the focus was on women wearing high heels, not men.

It is generally regarded in this "enlightened" age, that even if you don't accept something, you do not speak out on it. Indeed, in the UK, you can be fined for doing so, if the words or actions used can be deemed "likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress". Society has been conditioned, often by legislation, to be tolerant of most things outside of the home. Therefore, when asked if the general public tolerate such behaviour as males wearing female attire of any description in public, the perception of those who do so is that the public couldn't care less.

Given the chance to comment privately or anonomously however, such as in response to newspaper articles covering stories such as heels for men, the overwhelming reaction is negative, suggesting that while tolerance may be the norm, acceptance of the behaviour is in fact quite low.

I know it has been argued many times that history has shown that it is possible to change society attitudes and many refer to the acceptance of women wearing mens attire, such as trousers as being the prime example. The difference is, that in the case of women wearing trousers it took a world war and the fact that women were suddenly propelled into an abnormal working enviroment to replace the men, which brought about that change. It was for practical reasons, not any sort of fashion statement or self fulfillment.

This is why, from my own perspective, there will never be a general acceptance of the sort of fashion reversal that many members of this board wish for, or even perceive to be the case. By all means keep on doing what you are doing if it makes you feel happy, providing that it doesn't hurt or embarrass anyone else such as your partner, but don't set your sights on it becoming the norm.

  10. Don't know if you are still looking, following the thread you started. Since I respect the posting rules in the forum and can't PM the details (your inbox may be full) I'm posting here in response to :-

So I've kinda been thinking I want to get some wedges either pumps or boots. Something equal to at least a 5" heel without a platform. I've looked around the web and can't really find anything.

Anyone know of any really high wedges out there?

Asos have very recently brought out a line with a 14cm wedge and 2cm plat which you may be interested in.

  11. Wow these are fantastic, would love a pair

And as I said in post #2, you won't get them because they were made especially for someone who has refused to reveal the commisioned artist. A bit like a masterpiece, if you let the artist paint another, yours becomes less valuable which is why I suspect another pair will never be made.

  12. I can assist with the question, but you will be disappointed with the answer I'm afraid. They were made by private appointment for a woman who has so far declined to name the creator despite being asked on numerous occasions. They are a unique piece and not available on the open market. I suspect that the person who had them made has come to an agreement with the maker not to make any further pieces to maintain the uniqueness, and therefore the future value of the creation.

  13. Hello Booted up, could you put here the pictures with your problems?

I think you dont buy any pair of ballets boots in my factory. So if you have a pair of my ballet boots I compromised with you to find a solution to your problems with the ballet boots, only if the boots are made by me.

Please fill free to keep in touch with me.

The message you quoted was posted in August 2011, eight months ago and was the last post he made on here.

I would be surprised if you got a reply after that length of time.
