  1. Can we hear YOUR best-ever all-time sighting please, each of you?

It was in September 1986. I was at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, WA, outside of Seattle. I was at the fair for a weekend. I was at this skateboard exhibitiion when I noticed a girlfriend of one of the skater dudes. She had the long bleach blonde hair, wore a white half shirt, blue jean/denim cut-off shorts, and a pair of 5+" stiletto heel pumps/courts. She walked around the exhibition area with these shoes most of the day. Only a couple of times, she walked around barefoot. A great sight to see.

In 1993, I was attending junior college when I attracted to this very beautiful young woman. She was 18 years old and had reddish-blonde hair. Once a week, she dresses up and wears 4.5" black patent, scalloped-shape stiletto heel pumps. My last semester in school, I took a photography class and wanted her to model for me when she dressed up, but we could never schedule a time together. By this time, she was dating a buddy of mine and I was crushed and distraught. From that moment, I combined my admiration of women in heels and my photography prowess and that is the reason why I wanted to become a fashion photographer.

  2. I've known about Jenny's chat room for about 4 years now. I first entered the room over 3 years ago. Even though I'm a non-wearing male who admires women in heels, I was welcomed by the community. And now that my work schedule changed and I have every other saturday off, I can chat a lot more now. 3. There was another sighting yesterday (friday) around lunchtime at that same mall that I keep hanging out. I was going to the men's section at a department store when I heard that distinct sound of stiletto heels on a hard floor. A beautiful woman, in her early 20's, was wearing a black knee length skirt, black fishnet stockings, and black 4.5" stiletto heel pumps. There was an exit by the men's section, she left and I admired her from a large picture window. She walked down the sidewalk, jaywalked across the street. and entered the employee's entrance of an upscale department store, Nordstroms. Nordstroms is the northwest U.S. version of Saks, Macy's, and Bloomingdales. Dan

  4. You are absolutely right Laurie. Since this particular style was worn by a well known, fashion conscience, stylish celebrity and and that this particular style is very limited edition, any shoe collector would cherish this lovely pair of heels.

Another thought came to mind. If the American shoe manufacturers had an idea what kind of buzz these shoes are getting, I'm sure they will making cheaper knock offs right away.

If I Had the time, money, and creative know how, I'd buy a pair of reasonably priced heels, a pair of mini padlocks and make a modified imitation pair for myself. (To give to a lucky, special lady, of course. I still have yet to find her  )

  5. I would love to be someone with too much money and able to spend lots on shoes like this. Why? Because I'd really like to have more money.

Of course, we all realize that the price goes up because of the status, and not the actual materials or style.

  6. I was at my local mall last friday afternoon, around lunchtime, when I saw this girl, about 16-18 years old, wearing 4" to 5" stiletto heel pumps. She was also wearing slacks/dress trowsers, a black silk blouse, and a tan suede jacket. She was with 3 guys, who was around the same age as this girl, wearing business suits, and another girl who was wearing those flip-flops, thongs piece of junk. Dan

  7. There really wasn't a definative moment that turned on my fondness for high heels. I recall family members wearing them when I was younger. And I recall getting kicked in the shin by a high school girl wearing heels when I was 6 years old. When I turned 10-12 years old and noticing classmates and other schoolgirls wearing them prevelently, that might have sealed my fate. Dan
