Being winter, I just had to get some boots!

The Brian Atwood -Baretta boots were purchased in black suede, but the picture is too dark, so here they are in brown. They have a 28" shaft, 5.5" heel with a .75" hidden platform. My Christmas present to myself.

Just purchased Sunday, Aldo - Dain boots. They are just OTK and have a 4.5" heel (sz36)

Great article, thread and topic (thank you for locating). Interesting feedback. And just for the hell (or is that heel) of it, we always tuck as the Boot is made to be seen hence the heel is more pronounced and shown. Cheers, David & Cathy

Just a heads up....I will be away from HHPlace for the next 3 weeks on vacation (no blackberry, no computer/laptop/no cell phone/no radio/no tv/no newspaper - a complete chill out away from the world, we do this every year for 3 weeks....!!). Absolutely. Bootlover66 and I were planning to spend the afternoon on Robson/Davie Streets window shopping etc. What time would work best for you? Ottawa on Jan 31 was fun! We ended up with three (iloveboots, Cyndi and Snowflake) of us at the Buzz Bistro. All in great high heel Boots and lots of extra special attention from our server (s). We had a booth at the back of the Bistro. David

The meet starts at the Sandman Hotel/Moxie's Restaurant on Davie St at 7pm for dinner/drinks/conversation. Will try and secure a table in the front section by the windows; will also let the Hostess who seats us know to ask for the "heel meet group" if you don't spot us.

Oasis Lounge, one block away (Davie & Thurlow 2nd floor) at 10pm.

If you want to attend and need a place to change, I will have a room at the Sandman Hotel/Suites where you can change, will be there from 6pm on.

Yup, I have beent he guilty one here. I have been travelling since Jan 1. The poll is now closed and the end result is "Las Vegas" and the month will be "april" as this garnered the most votes from the poll here and bootshare.

I will be in touch with a few of the other meet planners and we will have the exact dates and meet info (hotels, meet nite info and events) in the next few weeks.

I LOVE BOOTS (OR OTHERS PLANNING THE 2ND MEET)--

You had said the poll would end on the 31stDEC and details would be laid out. I know the entire US Federal Gov't requires its workers to submit leave plans before 15FEB and preferably before 1FEB. I have to think that many private companies are the same way.If, for example, this meet were to take place in mid-April, say 15 APR, well, that's 90 days from tomorrow. There is a decent chance I could make a mid April meet in LV if I could plan around it NOW. I was able to book a three-week trip around South America with my wife through four countries and eleven different airports using Kayak's website and a credit card. I'm not sure how a convention is booked but I'd think there would be keen competition for our business. What do you think?? The early heels get the sidewalk whilst the late ones are on the dirt...sinking fast.

We're sorry you missed it as well. Lots of fun! Ended up just two of us (Nick) and I (David). However we made the most of a fun evening. Both of us in 4 inch stiletto heel thigh Boots. We definitely caught the fancy of a young petite blonde girl (about 25/26) who was also wearing high heel thigh Boots. She did not hide her liking of our heels/Boots and came over to our table a couple of times to tell us so! We chatted with her for awhile and she was quite open and frank about how much she enjoyed seeing two men who really showed confidence and style outside of the typical boring male fashion (as she pointed to her boyfriend who was at the bar in jeans/running shoes). FYI, Nick and I both agreed that the next Montreal/Laval Meet would be in Laval. David
