Just got access to site and I feel like a kid just got into the sweet-shop with a 'free pass' at the payment counter. :nervous:

I've been wearing heels as a serious interest for nearly 25 years, though not very often for the last 15. [Wife and job(s) took over.] Recently acquired some 4" ankle boots, and I can't take them off. Not making me very popular at home, but hey-ho.

Hopefully going to Camden this morning to try some 5" boots (Pleaser Domina 2000) with a view to purchase. If they have my size, I'm hoping to wear them at the 2008 meet next weekend. Can't believe my luck. Find this site 6 weeks after getting back into heels, and there's a public meeting arranged! :santa_hat:

If this amount of support had been available in the 80's, I may never have stopped wearing them. Back then the only time my heels saw public space was when I went to Maitresse on a Monday night (subsequently became "Skin Two"), or one of the TV balls at what I think was the Queensway Hall.

Does any have any idea why we are (in my case anyway) compelled to wear high heels? Quite a common theme is trying on mummy's heeled shoes when young? [sorry, a bit of a deep question for my first post.]

Anyway, nice to be here. :w00t2:

Welcome aboard, Freddy!

We get into that question rather deeply around here -- look around through the threads -- especially in the "For the Guys" section. The topic comes up a lot so those threads are always getting bumped to the top of the list.

Have a happy time!

Welcome FastFreddy,

Obviously you are in London from your comments. Why not join the other members from HHPlace at the 3rd Annual World Heel Meet in london this coming week? We have events planned for Feb 14/15/16 with the big meet on saturday, feb 16 at a Pub near London Bridge. See the "calendar" and also "real life meetings" for more details.

We'll also be doing some high heel Boot shopping at Camden Town on Thursday the 14th.

Cheers,

david & cathy

Shopping trip floundered today. Seems 'Pleaser' don't expect owners to have toes? I've got girly feet, and have yet to find a UK size 8 I can't get my feet into, in fact for 'posing' purposes, a size 7 isn't unusual. [used to be a regular size 7 with Cover-Girl shoes, but hey-ho.]

Tried the one pair of Pleaser 'pumps' I found in US size 10, only to realise a couple of my toes need to be half-inch shorter. Shame, as I far prefer a shorter toe on a shoe or boot, than is the current style.

I'd certainly enjoy meeting up for a shopping trip, but I've done Camden two Saturdays running so need to try new ground. If I'm in London Thursday, I'll have to wander along Oxford Street, and around the corner into Charing Cross Road.

My wife (bless her) is understanding of my thing for shoes, but had thought it was confined for days I did the ironing. [Long story.] She even endured walking back home from a 2007 News Years Eve bash, with me having put on an old pair of her [size 6] 3" heeled boots, just for the walk. She has since even 'aided and abetted' my purchase of some quite tarty thigh boots from Priceless. [Which I didn't take off for about a week.] But I'm starting to get the impression she may have (already) reached saturation point.....

I'd quite like to go to Sergio's, but knowing no-one there but myself, I've tentatively arranged to have an old (girl) friend come with me. Thursday is Valentines though, and a grammar school education didn't dull my good ladies wit. Her stuck indoors while I'm out (trying) to paint the town will have consequences. [Holidays will have to be booked immediately afterward!:giggle: ] If my friend and I are welcome, I'm sure we could attend.

Hopefully, men in heels is a mandatory condition of attendance?
