e Posted October 5, 2002 Posted October 5, 2002 When was the last time you realized, I wore the right shoes, at the right time, and they helped get the right result. Describe the shoes and the occasion. Thanks
Dr. Shoe Posted October 6, 2002 Posted October 6, 2002 I was wearing my steel toed work boots when a pallet dropped on my toes which survived the impact unscathed.... Result!!!! Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
pieman3141 Posted October 6, 2002 Posted October 6, 2002 Dr. Shoe == Lucky as hell. Me? Runners are for everything. Except dates, bars, and stuff like that. However, runners + dress pants == teh fugly.
anthrax Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 One much in the same vein, except it was a butterfingered coworker who dropped a rather sharp, rather substantial knife when up on a work stand. Same result, same very relieved feeling. And probably some of the same interesting words said afterward. I was wearing my steel toed work boots when a pallet dropped on my toes which survived the impact unscathed.... Result!!!!
AndyB Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 Dr. Shoe == Lucky as hell. However, runners + dress pants == teh fugly. Funnily enough... I've worn a pair of Vans skate shoes with a suit & tie at an internet trade show in manchester (I was a student at the time) -- I'd borrowed the suit, but the shoes were too small, so I wore my trainers the thing is, only one person noticed at the show, and the girl we met up with in a bar later didnt notice either

texasbumpkin Posted October 29, 2002 Posted October 29, 2002 The last time that I realized I was wearing the right shoes, I was working at the Coast Guard base unloading a truck, and had a pallet of stuff fall off the fork lift onto my feet......thank you for steel toes.
