A question...

One much in the same vein, except it was a butterfingered coworker who dropped a rather sharp, rather substantial knife when up on a work stand. Same result, same very relieved feeling.

And probably some of the same interesting words said afterward.

I was wearing my steel toed work boots when a pallet dropped on my toes which survived the impact unscathed.... Result!!!!

Dr. Shoe == Lucky as hell.

However, runners + dress pants == teh fugly.

Funnily enough... I've worn a pair of Vans skate shoes with a suit & tie at an internet trade show in manchester (I was a student at the time)

-- I'd borrowed the suit, but the shoes were too small, so I wore my trainers

the thing is, only one person noticed at the show, and the girl we met up with in a bar later didnt notice either
