Magickman Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Somewhat by accident, I discovered that Zappos Shoes has an on-line shoe digest of letters and comments about shoe-related topics. So, just for fun, I wrote a short letter, which they published a few days later. ================================ Here it is: From: Magickman Subject: Shoe gender Breaking the barrier in shoe gender is guaranteed to raise hackles. It gets some people quite upset. But there are guys who enjoy crossing this line. I have great fun at my local area singles dances, showing up in womens boots with 4" and even 5" heels. Most of the women who I ask, are quite willing to dance with the man in heels. In the heel boots, I am around 3" taller, and height is a big deal to many women. The gals seem to like me better, when I am taller in heels, than when I am shorter, in flat shoes. A lot of them say they cannot wear heels themselves, and they are amazed that I can dance in stilettos. You might laugh, but I am a fellow who loves to go dancing in heels. JeffB Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Wow! That's really interesting! I'll certainly be curious to find out if you get any responses! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
gary0618 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Magickman, I get that email often too. Today I saw the heading and knew it had to be somebody from here. Congratulations on getting them to run it. I had sent in something similar about 6 months ago, but never saw mine in their newsletter. Maybe many of us here should respond to Magickman's Post. I have! If you missed the email, here it is again.... Comment? mailto: digest-submit@zappos.com?Subject=Shoe-gender FLAT SHOES, LIKE FLAT DRINKS, ARE FOR FLAT PEOPLE
