Heels to the office

Jaiden

Recommended Posts

I took a major step friday and wore 3" stiletto boots to the office. I've worn a pair of 3" block heels before and the boss said that he thought they were cool but he either didn't notice or didn't say anything. I work for a very small company...small as is i'm the only employee so I would hate for anything to be akward. I purposly picked a day when I knew there wouldn't be any clients around. I may start wearing them much more often if nothing more is said.

Congrats, Jaiden! I have tried wearing stilettos at the office, but I'm afraid it did not go over well. Best of luck.

Shafted, the boots that is! View my gallery here http://www.hhplace.o...afteds-gallery/ or view my heeling thread here http://www.hhplace.org/topic/3850-new-pair-of-boots-starts-me-serious-street-heeling/ - Pm me if you want fashion advice or just need someone to talk to.

Well, it's been heels every day this week. brown 4" block heeled boots on monday, 3" black stilleto pointy toe boots on tuesday and the brown boots again today. I'm going to be going with the stillettos again tomorrow. All with Jeans and various shirts.

Today I wore my 2 inch wedge brown ankle boots purchased from New Look to work. I was a little nervous at first as these clearly have a "heel" and you can tell they "feminine", yet no-one cared or noticed. Plus I felt and looked good (they worked with my outfit).

Heel-D:-) Sscotty727:-) Congrats to you both for being able to successfully wear your heels at work. There are quite a few fellows here that wish that they could do the same as you, but not possible at the present time. Cheers--- Dawn HH

Don't mean to steal the thread (couldn't find mine where I posted all my wedge heels), but I thought I share some pics of my wedge heels that I wear in the office. As you can see, my pant leg does expose the heel. Sorry for the quality, tried to snap these with my camera phone before my other co-worker came in.

BTW, if you look at the 3rd pic, where my pant leg stops is about where my heel actually is with my inserts:)

Kneehighs/Dawn, Thanks for your kind comments. I really like these wedges. Been wearing them everyday to work since I got them. Even been wearing them on the weekend (hoping I won't wear them out). These are the ones I wore when we visited my brother a few weeks ago. As ultra critical as he usually is over just about everything, he never said 1 negative thing about them. I need to keep an eye and and try to snag another pair or two of them. Scotty

I like the look of those shoes sscotty, and from the look of it would even be prepared to wear those outside myself. They look just masculine enough if the heel is hidden. I assume they must be comfortable as you wear them so often too.

He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes.

Actually, I think they are the highest non-pumps I have. With the inserts, I think they are more like 4" (will have to remeasure them later). I like them mostly because of the height. I wish I had more wedge heels that were high. Most shoe makers make wedge heels with thick toes and a 3" heel which is more like only a 2" heel. Since these have no platform on the toes, you get the full effect of the heel:) Scotty

Your wedges look great Sscotty. Wedges are a favorite of mine and I wear them to work frequently. Didn't you used to have Madden wedges in your avatar?

If the shoe fits-buy it!!!!!!

Well, I did it again.

This time I wore these:

With my Charcoalish DKNY jeans and a cool Zara sweater I bought it the sales. I don't think anybody took double takes at me as I felt the look was well co-ordinated. It was a good feeling strutting around the office in 2 inch heels. Most of the heel was covered but you could see it when sat or when I was walking (looking at my reflection in the windows).

I would post a picture but I'm very tired and I should really go to bed soon.

Heel-D, Very nice boots. They are very descrete, you should have absolutely no problems wearing them in public. Actually, those remind me very much of Durango boots. My brother used to wear them back when I was a kid (he is 9 years older than me) and it was a big thing back then. The heel is SLIGHTLY higher, but unless someone was looking close, they could never tell. Great job! Scotty

Thanks they are cool aren't they. For when I'm feeling less daring, more discrete, weaning myself into wearing heels more or just for the choice of a different shoe really! Wore heels again today. Again, I wore my New Look Brown 2" wedges, fade/worn look boot cut jeans, white shirt and a grey V-Neck sweater. I looked good! :D I'm sure one of the girls I work with has sussed that they're not "men's" shoes but she hasn't said anything, or never acted differently/negatively to me. I've just caught her twice glancing at my feet slightly longer than normal (once in the kitchen and once today in the canteen when she sat down next to me for lunch) when I've worn my "ladies" shoes to work. Or maybe I'm reading to much into it and she hasn't even noticed anyway - letting my imagination run away with me. Doesn't bother me anyway they're just shoes.
