I've been lurking around here for a while now, trying to build the courage necessary to post, and more than a little frightened that I'd screw up and make a bad first impression (of which one never gets a second chance). Sorry if I make a complete imbecile of myself i front of all of you. I'm a SWM from the U.S. and I've been interested in the heels since the time before my teenage years; maybe 11 or so. Aside from a couple of close friends of mine, I haven't confessed my inerest to anyone. I don't recall how or why I got interested in high heel shoes and stockings/pantyhose, and even to this day I can't quite fully explain my desire for them, but I like them nontheless. I have a very discriminating taste for style, that being the classic court pump--I guess that's what it's called--closed-toe with the spiked heel. I have no craving whatsoever in straps, clip-ons (bows, etc.), two-tones, slingbacks, platforms or any of the various and sundry reject-from-a-cubism-painting abominations that are so egregiously in vogue this time. Nor do I like the elongated, clown shoe-like toeboxes that are long enough to land an incoming jet airliner on. I'm here to chat with fellow enthusiasts, show off my pics--including some drawings I've made--and perhaps some fiction. There's more I'd like to say but I'm hesitant about that. There is a great bunch here who I'm sure would be more than willing to give second chances. I like your tastes in shoes and the classic pump is hard to beat. Participating in the forum is a lot more interesting if one comments as well as reads. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public. Can I assume the you're a fellow anime fan as well? Yeah, I agree with that. Glad you recognized a character from one of my favorite anime/manga series (Ah! My Goddess!). She is beautiful in many ways. I also many others like Peach Girl, Gundam, CHOBITS and Gunsmith Cats, to name a few. I've found a few pics of her wearing heels, but the problem is that artists don't usually draw them very well.
