manus Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 Hello, I will go to scotland (and particularly glasgow) next august... I will of course take some heel boots with me... Is it "safe" to wear highheels in glasgow? And in scotland? Have you already been there in heels? Have a nice day http://store2.yimg.com/I/exotichighheels_1800_1004412
bigj3650 Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 Heels are safe in glasgow (mind you i didnt go into the city center) the neds in glasgow might not give a shit (pardon my french) but then again they might....with glasgow neds im not sure.... but firefox says that the rest of scotland is ok and i can verify that Rothesay on the island of bute is safe
Bubba136 Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 http://store2.yimg.com/I/exotichighheels_1800_1004412 You could wear those boots in the Vatican and no one would notice. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Firefox Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 I've been everywhere in Scotland in heels. The best places are Edingburgh and the lowlands. Edingburgh is a cultural go ahead type city and the people in the lowlands are very polite and friendly and used to trendy English people zipping across the border. It's OK in the highlands. It's not as though you are going to get arrested, but some of the people are a bit "religious" or set in their ways. It's like they are living in a time warp so they may turn up their nose slighyly at some adventurous idea. I've been to Glasgow too, and never had any trouble with any "neds".
Dawn HH Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 I haven't been to Scotland as of yet, but wearing the boots pictured under long pants shouldn't be a problem anywhere. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
