Hello all,

Just got these shoes Yesterday, even though the toes are more pointed than I usually wear they fit great.

They are made by Ellie and the size 12 fits very nicely.

I can even walk around on the 5 inch heels but still need a little more practice time.

A very nice store to deal with, they where very helpful and the best part was the fact that the shoes where on sale.

Best regards EMS

ems8's post was referring to these shoes:http://store6.yimg.com/I/snaz75_1797_8189518',500,500

I think those are a nice pair of shoes to wear while getting used to walking in high heels. While the toes might be more pointed that he is used to, they aren't nearly as pointed as some of the other shoes I've seen posted here.

I thought about getting some of those myself, although I already have that sole style (but rounded toe) in a pump and two boot styles. How much point is there to the toe, actually? If it's enough of a change....I just may have to break down and go for *another* pair (like I need more? well....YES!).

To get the picture to post, the address you should have type the following elements> 1) Image sign: "2) the picture address: "http://store6.yimg.com/I/snaz75_1797_8189518',500,500" 3) the close image sign: ""

Like: "put the address of the picture here"

(without the " quote marks and dashes --- and do not put spaces between the elements.

I also bought a pair from Snaz75.com. They are great shoes for the

price but, they are cheap shoes and probably won't hold up very well.

At that price I figure I can just buy another pair when they wear out.

It took quite a bit of practice before I was comfortable walking in them.

Two things I don't like about them are:

1) They have a "patent" finish which makes them very noticeable.

2) The plastic heel is apparently hollow to keep the weight down

and makes them very noisy when waling on a hard surface.

I wore them a few times mall shopping and did notice a some people

looking them which made me very uncomfortable. I wear them

mostly at home as "training" shoes.

Sorry guys, personally I don't like platforms. a) They're "cheating" - ems8 talks about his 5" heels, but they've only got a meek 3" lift. I call them 3" heels. B) I think they're ugly. The platform turns the toe-box from being elegant into a thick, clumpy "surgical boot". Give me a good, platformless shoe or boot with a proper 4" or 5" heel every time! Infinitely more elegant and sexy. Still, you and quite a few other people must like these clod-hopping platform styles otherwise they wouldn't be making so many. Everyone to their taste, I suppose! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan

Onwards and upwards!

I don't really find them eye-catching, either. They're too Elton John, the patent says "slut," and I'm just not into platforms.

Then again, that's just my opinion...

Thanks for the advise of posting a image correctly.

Also in reply as to the type of toe on these shoes, They are more pointed than appear in the picture not a sharp small point but a point about 1/2 diameter. Even still given the pointed toe the size 12 still fits comfortalbly.

Let's see what's going on here with your images not showing...

I'll give it a try:

Ok - it appears that you had two blank characters after the last "500" in your URL, which may have thrown off the BBS software.

Looking at the pics, it reminded me of a pet peeve: Black leather lace-up oxfords are plentiful in my size. The problem is, those who make them assume I want them for fetish wear, so most of them are shiny patent, all of them have a point heel (which I don't mind, but I'd prefer a block heel), a pointy toe, which I do mind (uncomfortable) and all of them have heels that are five inches or higher, which I also mind, since that negates the reason I'd buy the shoe in the first place.

Why can't someone make a pair of 3-1/2" block or tapered block black leather lace-up oxfords is beyond me...

Am I asking too much?

Well, it's not as rough as it used to be. Believe it or not, people just kinda tend to either smile or not say anything nowadays. Granted, it's a far cry from Denver or the OC, but if anyone thinks I'm gonna let my collection just sit in a box can truly think again! :drinking:

I bought 'em....I'm WEARIN' 'em! Wheeeeeeeee!

I just looked at the website: http://www.sky-scrapers.com/ and noticed that the court shoes are all styles made by LSB. The style (model) number is the same as LSB uses in their catglog. Here, check it out:

Hi Gene

Try this site

http://www.sky-scrapers.com/

They do block heels and stileto heels from 3 inch upward and do custom heels as well so a pair of oxfords with a block heel at 3 inches may be on the cards from them. They do charge for the service though so be warned.

Jeff

Yep, they're skyscrapers, all right! I checked it out - you're either limited to paying around 100 pounds for a 5 inch heel (which is already expensive) or twice as much for a 3 or 4 inch heel. It also appears their version of "leather" is really PU (polyurethane). I may be wrong, but non-shiny PU is usually listed as "matt," while real leather is usually listed as "calfskin" or "kidskin."

I'm a real leather man, myself, but if the shoe fits...

The 2 pairs of shoes in my avatar (<====) are both LSB style 4118 with 7" heels. One pair in patent and the other in calfskin. I can assure you that they are GEN-U-INE leather. And, you're right. They are expensive.

I have been thinking of ordering a pair of X10 (spectator pumps) in black and white with 6" heels.

Genuine leather shoes generally are, and the cost only increases with increasing heel height and increasing size. By the way - if I were to buy a pair for my wife, I'd pick the spectator pumps, and save the black ones for myself. Then again, you already have black pumps, so why not go with the X10s?
