meganiwish Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 This might be for the Brits, but all help gratefully received. I tried to install BBC iplayer downloader. All going peachy, then I had to choose an application that could open the downloads. I tried a few, but the only one it would let me use was Microsoft Office 365 Somethingorother. Now I can't download BBC stuff, because all I get is the Microsoft store. It said I could change it with Firefox Prefences, but I can't find them. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it's just the same. I thought Gates was a decent chap, but I feel quite violated by this. I just want to watch some TV programmes. Can anyone help?
Shyheels Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Hmmm. I downloaded the BBC iPlayer app on my iPad and it works a treat. not sure why you had to download anything else to open things on it...
SleekHeels Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Try the two steps it describes here: http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/tv/computer/cannot-launch-firefox Hopefully that'll work for you. If you like it, wear it.
meganiwish Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 Thank you, Sleekheels. The word 'preferences' fills me with hope, as that was what I was looking for. I'll try tomorrow.
