Dear shoebidoo,

Welcome to High Heel Place. Please do take the time to introduce yourself here before doing anything else..

Feel free to browse around and get to know others. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Do take some time to read our website rules / guidance notes and if you get stuck, our FAQ's are also updated frequently..

As a member who has JUST registered, you will only be able to see 3 of our forums, so might be wondering where the rest of the forums have gone?

Well, until you drop in here and introduce yourself, by way of replying to this thread/topic, the rest of what HHPlace has to offer remains hidden...

This is deliberate, and is designed to give total newbies the chance to read the important things, and a chance to post an intro for others to get to know you a little better.

As soon as you have introduced yourself here, that will be your 1st post, and you should instantly be able to see the rest of the forums...

Its our way of really wanting to welcome you gradually, to be sure you dont miss the rules and help available, and encourage you to take part.

So on behalf of the team, and all of our existing members who will hopefully also welcome you...

Welcome to High Heel Place :-)

Thanks for the warm welcome.

We are a Dutch couple who love high heel lovers, and we stumbled upon this great forum.

We are looking forward to read and share our thought here, specially about our favorite heel styles and brands like Casadei, GianMarco Lorenzi and Biondini. Yep, we love Italy too.

We are editors of two high heel sites: a Dutch high heel link page which can be found on: -------------- and an international high heel directory which we call the "high heel hub" and can be found on -------------------

"Hoge hakken" means "high heels" in Dutch. That is the first question we would like to pose here: is there a high heel specific translation table available here, with english to french-italian-german-dutch high heel words?

Warm regards, Shoebidoo.

Excuse me, but why the ---- is this "spam". These are my websites. Maybe you think they are conflicting with your HHPlace?

Think about being a member here first. Dropping your website on your first post will automatically be deleted as spam because 99% of the time it is. Don't take it personally, it isn't. Dropping offsite links into your signature is also discouraged. There are other places for that stuff once you've earned the privileges. BTW: If I thought you were intentionally spamming us, you wouldn't have made it this far.

You can find some examples in this thread, which also contains a link to an older thread with the same subject.

Hi Tom-NL, thanks for posting the link in the link directory!

Hee Heeleddude,

Nice to meet some Dutchmen here!

I got a clear message that languages other than English are banned from this forum, so I won't reply in Dutch.

Hi Shoebidoo. Altijd leuk om wat meer Nederlanders op het forum te zien :)

Thank you, because it is an English language forum only. For things such as greetings in native languages, why not? I'll let it slide if it is limited to that and not to the exclusion of English speaking members. Now that we got that out of the way, welcome.
