chris100575 Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 Congrats! Whereabouts did Firefix post the pic of your plats?
bigj3650 Posted November 21, 2003 Author Posted November 21, 2003 the topic about filling the gap, on this section of the board about modifying them to new rocks
Firefox Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 Well done John. How long have I been telling you even the Neds don't give a shit? These were the shoes:
bigj3650 Posted November 21, 2003 Author Posted November 21, 2003 but the thing was there were no "NEDS" about and i would have felt better with shoes that were A TAD quieter J
Firefox Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 If you find them too noisey, go to Woolworths and get some of that thin heel repair rubber to glue on both heels. It will be cheaper than a new pair (£2.75 inc adhesive). This rubber is pretty quiet and will stop the heels ringing to some extent.
sscotty727 Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 John, Check out the thread Noisey Heels. I had similar problems and the advice there helped alot! Scotty
bigj3650 Posted November 21, 2003 Author Posted November 21, 2003 scott, i already have and im not going to start altering my heels till i am well and truly use to them J
Ionic Posted November 22, 2003 Posted November 22, 2003 They look like quiet rubber heels, though from what you say obviously not the case. Have you tried any of the sensible ankle boots on your web site? Or are they part of ex-collection ? You look small enough to find loads of stuff in charity shops for five pounds or not much more. Remember to price in new heel tips if very worn. /I /I
bigj3650 Posted November 22, 2003 Author Posted November 22, 2003 Well ionic, im not i am..... UK SIZINGS : 8/9 US SIZINGS : 10/11/12 EU SIZINGS : 42/43/(somtimes 44...uk 10 i beleve) TTFN J
Ionic Posted November 23, 2003 Posted November 23, 2003 sorry, I misread your photos as a 7/8. I take an 8 as long as it is reasonably generous in size and have found some cheapo stuff that fitted in charity shops, even once labelled as a nine. Worth looking out for stuff even bigger sizes. /I /I
