palle Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Either one. More of these on the catwalks and then on the streets
manoleat Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Either one. More of these on the catwalks and then on the streets That would be very difficult because we are talking about heels of the 30s... This one is definately on the (evening) fashion side:
pussyinboots Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Many of these early Retro Fetish heels come from France.....they were decades ahead of the game as far as 'Erotica' is concerned. "Good Girls keep diaries....Bad Girls just don't have the time...!:icon_twisted:"

The ones shown in my post above are from I. Miller Deluxe Shoes, USA. I also have some vintage London Life magazines from the late 20s to early 40s with nice pictures (bad print quality though). At least two or three shoemakers located in London offered very high heeled shoes and boots back then. The following advertisements are scanned from these vintage magazines: http://thebootfetishist.blogspot.com/2010/02/adverts.html Beside that I know only two french ads with boot content but there were more for sure. But never an advertisement in London Life.

I don't disagree that there were manufacturers in the UK and the USA, however the French were wearing Fetish heels and boots a long, long time ago.....and a lot of older fetish photographs also come from France and Germany, many of them were worn in Burlesque shows etc.. manoleat Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 I am very interested in these photographs, especially in the german ones. Do you have some examples or can direct me where to find them? Attached a picture of an issue of London Life from1928.
pata Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 a dream of mine is still to have a that style perfect-fit knee high boot with such a heel for everyday wear... I believe it would be very practical, and oh-my- so beautiful .

I believe it would be very practical, and oh-my- so beautiful . At least also with eyelet lacing? They would take some time to lace up through about 30 eyelets per side e.g. But I agree: They would look nice! Example: http://www.hhplace.org/vintage_fashions/18403-boots_30s.html
manoleat Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Two pairs of vintage 1930s heels made in Belgium for your pleasure. I am absolutely amazed by the stitching and cut out details.
Shafted Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I wonder how much those would have cost in depression ravaged America at the time. Very beautiful shoe for the times and technology. Shafted, the boots that is! And I can see how they have inspired modern fashion footwear.
