Waisted_Giraffe
technically the same in the UK and quite likely many countries around the world; there was a similar article in the UK press about the numbers of people that drove in "inappropriate" footwear - more than likely referenced in the forum. I have driven in both heels and my mountaineering boots; it is harder to drive in the boots than the heels as the boots are not at all flexible (hence suitable for ice climbing) and about 50% wider than my normal shoes, though I doubt the police would fine me for wearing them compared to the heels! Dr. Shoe
The police would not fine you for wearing heels. The guideline in the highway code refers to inappropriate footwear. Flipflops are considered inappropriate but heels are not. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
