I found this British news story on the internet. A businesswoman who can no longer wear any of her vast collection of high heels has won the right to a major damages payout. Tina Knight, 66, was unable to work after she slipped in a pool of water at Stansted Airport's baggage reclaim area in July 2005. Ms Knight, from Saffron Walden, Essex, successfully sued cleaners Rentokil Initial Facilities Services at Cambridge county court last June. Yesterday the court of appeal upheld the decision in Ms Knight's favour. Damages will be decided later.

If her accident was the fault of the cleaning company, didn't they have those little yellow folding caution wet floor signs near the puddle? I wonder where the moisture on the floor came from, in the first place? To me, there are a lot of questions that remain to be answered before any judge can render a properly fair decision. :)

Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

This story was a hugely edited precis of a much longer story that was in itself trimmed to fit in the space allocated. The hearing probably lasted several hours if not days so I am pretty sure that these, and many other questions, were answered.
