mikeheel Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 On Tuesday I bought these: http://www.barratts.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10553&langId=-1&catalogId=10055&productId=105701 In green...a really good comfortable shoe / real leather And these (dont take any notice of the web site saying there are no size 9 / 42 in stock ) if you go to the store they do have them, perhaps they have limited quantities? http://www.barratts.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product1_10055_-1_97510_10553 And these : http://www.aldoshoes.com/uk/women/boots/ankle-boots/75977764-huckeby/28 Nice and high....a real 5.5 inch heel / real leather / real fit Barratts have loads of stock of Size 42 shoes and they are really pleased to help. Aldo also had loads of size 42 . I could have spent hundreds of pounds. This is the first time I have ever felt like I had a real choice of high-street shoes that fit, off the shelf. I shan't bother with provincial shops, with their feeble stock range any longer. Oxford Street is the place to go from now on ! M You won't get me wearing flat shoes...I really can't do it.
thighboots Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Aldo are great aren't they! It brilliant they do so many of their styles in a 9 / 42. Love the ankle boots by the way.
partyshoes Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 We may have passed each other on Tuesday -- New Look also does a fair range of 9/42 plus they have a wide fit, all reasonably priced. Granted that they are not Aldo quality but they do fit well and are comfortable. Although the ladies who helped me giggled a bit - they were young - they were more than willing to help and I got these http://www.newlook.co.uk/1708974/170897401/ProductDetails.aspx http://www.newlook.co.uk/1768596/176859601/ProductDetails.aspx Thought that these may be of interest to you too http://www.newlook.co.uk/1753183/175318324/ProductDetails.aspx Also found out that Next also a 9 but didnt see anything that I fancied. Think I've bought enough black shoes - the brogue style were a first for me though Gingers Rogers did everything Fred Astair did .. but backwards and in heels
