matt Posted March 16, 2003 Posted March 16, 2003 Have a look around the forum, there's a thread discussing them, they have little padlocks on the back of them
jo Posted March 16, 2003 Posted March 16, 2003 She looks like she is about to fall off of that bench! Nice shoes, and quite high enough to be walking around all day in. Some more images of her shoes, and discussion is in: http://www.hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?t=1379
barney15c Posted April 14, 2003 Posted April 14, 2003 Well not "Hers" but the same model. Take at look at this link. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2824488797&category= Currently £82.00 and still not met reserve yet. BTW link is over two lines. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king!!!
matt Posted April 14, 2003 Posted April 14, 2003 lol just bid £110 and it says I've already been out bid... Got a feeling these will go for £250ish at least
squirrelheels Posted April 14, 2003 Posted April 14, 2003 Yup, they'll go for a lot.... Just because they're the same as Victoria Beckham's.... *sigh* Some people....! BTW link is over two lines. It wasn't over two lines for me, but try using the tool at www.tinyurl.com - it literally turns a long link into a tiny one. Very useful for this sorta thing! SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! High Surprise Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 Victoria Beckham simply has so much 'shoe style'. She seems to get it right every time! If only everyone else understood how to 'get it right'..... I believe her rule is keep 'em thin and high.
jo Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 She buys a lot of her stuff from Gina, though she likes all that very expensive Italian stuff (D&G etc) as well.
Alex Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 Posh indeed. She's got good taste in shoes I wish I was a size 10
squirrelheels Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 I'm not so keen on designer shoes. For one, you pay a huge amount for a bit of leather. Secondly, they're just way too 'fancy' for my liking. But at least she wears her shoes with pride! SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
barney15c Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Price update £200.00 and still reserve not met!!!! Btw I reckon they'll go for around £450 anyone else want to make a guess? In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king!!!
squirrelheels Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Hmm.... £600+ I reckon! Good job I don't want them....! SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
barney15c Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 I wouldnt mind them if they did them in my size. But prefer the J Lo Ocla Timberland boots that are doing the rounds on ebay. Price now £225 and reserve still not met. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king!!!
Francis Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 There no way that I would spend over £100 for a pair of shoes! Alright, I would, but they'd be thigh high ballets To spend over £200 on a pair of shoes shows you either have too much money and not enough sense or you're just showing off, but I just call it inconsiderate spending.
Julietta Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Love the shoes but would never ever pay that for a pair of shoes, I'm one for quantity and variation verses overprices labelled ones Let calm be widespread May the sea glisten like greenstone And the shimmer of summer Dance across your pathway "Communication is a two way thing"
squirrelheels Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Love the shoes but would never ever pay that for a pair of shoes, I'm one for quantity and variation verses overprices labelled ones Me too I have 6 pairs of heels and I've paid a total of £91 on them! If I had the money to buy top quality leather boots of the thigh or knee variety, then I would. But then, I don't have the money, and if I did, it'd go on more computer parts and maybe some cheaper heels first! SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
Laurieheels Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 I would love to be someone with too much money and able to spend lots on shoes like this. Why? Because I'd really like to have more money. Of course, we all realize that the price goes up because of the status, and not the actual materials or style.
jo Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 What is the current price of the Beckham shoes? Probably more than they would cost new. Once bid fever sets in; all sanity goes out of the window.
Yamyam Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 I've found that a few expensive pairs is worth lots more than lots of cheap pairs. Even so, tho', I try and stay sane. My favourite pair, that I've clocked up lots of miles in, cost me 59 pounds from Schuh, but they're so comfortable that I could (and do) wear them all day! So I can understand expensive shoes, but I'd have some severe pause for thought before paying much over fifty quid for a pair. That's why you'll often find me scouring sales and designer outlets Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
squirrelheels Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 26 bids so far, £255. 6 days 12 hours remaining. So plenty of time for it to rise above my predicted £600 SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!

Of course, we all realize that the price goes up because of the status, and not the actual materials or style. You are absolutely right Laurie. Since this particular style was worn by a well known, fashion conscience, stylish celebrity and and that this particular style is very limited edition, any shoe collector would cherish this lovely pair of heels.

Since this particular style was worn by a well known, fashion conscience, stylish celebrity and and that this particular style is very limited edition, any shoe collector would cherish this lovely pair of heels. Another thought came to mind. If the American shoe manufacturers had an idea what kind of buzz these shoes are getting, I'm sure they will making cheaper knock offs right away. If I Had the time, money, and creative know how, I'd buy a pair of reasonably priced heels, a pair of mini padlocks and make a modified imitation pair for myself. (To give to a lucky, special lady, of course. I still have yet to find her )
barney15c Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 Well now up to £560 with 8 hours to go so well on track for squirrel heels prediction - but STILL not reached reserve, wonder what that is? In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king!!!
barney15c Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 ....and ended at £560. No doubt they'll be back on ebay soon possibly with a lower reserve In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king!!!
High Surprise Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 You think that's expensive?? I saw an article today which states that Harrods were selling a pair of 4.5 inch heels for £1 million. Makes £650 sound cheap! Check out: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/2985223.stm
matt Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 Here's Mrs Beckham in New York... Not sure on the style myself but got to love Vic's obsession with 4" + stilettos
High Surprise Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 Not so impressed with those shoes. She's normally very good with her styles.
heelsluvr1 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Not so impressed with those shoes. She's normally very good with her styles. I agree. She usually has the most killer heels
