What was the reason (i.e. special event like carneval/ halloween; because you lost a bet; because you felt in love for them) I'd recently moved into my own place and had the freedom to indulge my love for heels and clothes. I bought two pairs from a Freemans catalogue. One pair were patent red 4" stiletto courts shoe and absolutely gorgeous, the other were black strappy sandals, with a small knot across the toe cleavage. They were both made by Bally and were really classy. Sadly they went long ago due to personal circumstance, i.e. not wishing to get "caught" by my partner. It's such a shame as they were like my first love

3. Who paid the bill? I did

4. How much did you spend? I think about £80 for the pair, they were bought at the same time.

5. How and where did you buy? (retailer: grabbed and paid or tried them on; mail order company/ online; etc.) Freemans mail order catalogue.

6. Were you allowed to wear them at home (i.e. after of that special purpose)? Yes, freely, until my gf moved in, then it was only when I was on my own due to the gf being out. Fortunately, she was an absolute stunner and loved wearing heels herself so it made up for my personal restrictions.

If you're in a shopping mall, find the nearest Marks & Spencer. They almost always have decent facilities, the same goes with the main supermarkets.

I was doing a little shoe shopping today. I Stopped in at one of the stores here. I have mentioned it before in my travel thread. I always just window shop there. They are a quite pricey for me. Most of the shoes are $100 or more. So far it has always been the same salesgirl when I go in there, but today there was a new one. Or one I hadn't seen before. She was a younger blonde women. And she wasn't bad to look at.

I found a pair of flat black "BCBG" flash pumps. She mentioned that they were comfortable and that she had the same pair. She said Monday's are usually slow. So I think she was eager to help.

Now here is where the compliment comes in. I tried them on and I told her that they were extremely comfortable like she said. As I was walking to the mirror for a look, she said, and I quote. "Those look AWESOME with those jeans your wearing". Looking in the mirror I had to agree. As she watched me pose and turn in the mirror she asked how they were? They were absolutely perfect! And they did look AMAZING on me. But being that they were pricey, I told her they were slightly big, and that I felt like my heel was slipping out the back. I told her I am usually between a 9/10 for size. These were a 10. She said she is the same. She usually runs anywhere from 8/9 for size. If they were cheaper I definitely would have bought them. They looked spectacular on me and this beautiful young women owned the same pair. But be that as it may, I thanked her, and walked out of the store with my head held high. But not before she gave me their card with the web address. Her interaction with me totally made my day. I still can't keep the smile of my face thinking about it. I really wish I could have justified buying those shoes though. I will definitely be shopping there again. And I may eventually purchase something...lol. Thanks for listening!

I first became aware of high heels as a young boy, probably aged before 10, but when exactly, I've no idea. I started sneaking the odd try of sisters shoes early teens, and bought my own when I was about 18/19. Years of buying from shopping catalogues, hiding them and wearing in secret followed. Then I "came out" and started wearing heels in front of my wife, at fetish clubs and in public about 5 years ago, in my early 40s. I wish I hadn't left the public wearing so long, as it's such a great feeling.

I have worn this for several years and have it in eight or ten colors. You probably have guessed that I love pointed toes and stiletto heels, but am gradually building a liking to concealed plats. It also appears that "peep-toes" are more open to show more toe which i love.

Anyway, back to the issue of men in heels, of which I am one Amanda, and just for clarification, when does a man in heels not look silly?

Replying to my own post is the height on conceit, but I'm genuinely a bit disappointed and indeed saddened Amanda chose not to answer my question. Oh well, move on.

Having said that, I went to a fetish club a number of years ago and the only guys wearing heels were drag-queens and transvestites.. When I went more recently, I was found that about half the guys were in heels to compliment male fetish outfits. Therefore heels are getting more popular for men.

I go to a few fetish and tv events and always wear heels as a cross-dresser, though I'm not trying to pass as female. Not all of the tv's or cross-dressers wear heels though, it's just like anyone else, it's down to personal taste and (god forbid) whether the wearer can stand, walk or dance in heels.

As for the original question, I wonder how many of the shoes a guy buys his lady are then re-sold on e-bay as an unwanted gift? Certainly my taste in heels are a lot higher than my wife's as I can walk in them better and she just doesn't share my enthusiasm for them. I've bought her some heels way back when and she simply didn't like them so they ended up in the local charity shop. Ce la vie!!

If I think men mostly look silly in high heels then I believe I'm free to express my opinion regarding that in an internet forum designed for the purpose of discussing high heels. I have nothing against you boys wearing them at all. You can wear them all you like. In fact I think you're quite brave to do so given the social stigma attached to it.

Furthermore, my comments about war, football and religion being fueled, driven and lead by men are all true. I regard this as being indisputable unless you're prepared to argue with history.

Of course Margret Thatcher had to be drawn into the argument that women are just as responsible for starting wars. That's one woman amongst thousands of years of male driven wars all over the world.

I love too wear leggings and have quite a few pairs. I have worn them shopping though only with flat-ish ankle boots. Wearing them in the street or around the shops with high heel boots I think is too daring for me, even though I'd love to. I also have some jeggings which I love to wear, again with my ankle boots or jazz shoes or ballet pumps. One thing which I have found is how positive ladies in shops are towards me, they're really nice and sincere. By the way, I saw a young guy wearing a pair of black cotton leggings in a shopping mall recently and he looked really good, apart from the fact they'd gone a bit baggy at the knees - this is so not a good look lol

Why not have a night at Club Rub for the real thing?

I wore a pair of skintight denim leggings aka jeggings which I wore out shopping a few weeks back. They are so tight they are almost like tights. Anyway, I teamed them with a shortish, but tight fitting shocking pink long sleeved top which finished just below the waist line but above my bum, and a pair of flat ankle boots. I thought stilettoes would be just too much lol Anyway, I went in quite a few shops and had great attention and quite a few compliments from the ladies. They sure do like to see a man's bum lol There were times when I was quite nervous in case I got hassled by a meat head but I was ok, even to the point I got the train home wearing the jeggings.

I went to Magic Theatre and had a great time wearing heels, there's no problems at all.

If he was not wearing high heels whilst cruising around, hassling a lady, he'd be a creep. Wearing heels while doing this still means he's a creep. No more, no less. It's just a shame people outside of our community won't see it that way.

5' 6", about 9st 12lbs. Always trying to keep my naughty tummy under control which is a horrible job.
