  1. I've been to Honour's old warehouse shop in London a couple of times, and always found their staff to be helpful and friendly - I did spend a few hundred quid on latex clothing etc on both occasions though lol. It also reminded me of when I went to their shop in Waterloo a few years ago, I was so nervous (you have to ring the bell before they let you in!) I went in under the excuse I was buying clothes for my girlfriend - but the assistant was so nice and I eventually ended up trying on a PVC hobble dress and black patent stilettoes in the shop :) the woman was very complimentory and I ended up buying them. It was a great feeling! Sorry for the slightly off topic post but I'd forgotten about that experience lol. Good times :lmao:

  2. I think it was around 1980 or '81 - I saw a movie poster for the Angie Dickinson film "Dressed To Kill" - and the picture on the poster was just the pair of women's legs wearing some real sexy stiletto pumps. I was about 12 at the time, when you first start to really have sexual thoughts. Something about those pumps really connected with me, and from then on I always had a fascniation with high heels and paid attention to the shoes that women were wearing.

After a little while of "shoe watching" I became very curious about what it was like to wear high heels. Once when I was home by myself, I wanted to try on some of my Mom's heels - but by that time my feet were too big to fit into her shoes - and it wasn't until recently that I actually started wearing high heels myself.

But throughout the years I always maintained my love of heels, and always encouraged any girls I dated to wear them. Even today, I always try to persuade my GF to wear heels when we go out.

To me there's nothing sexier than a woman wearing a great pair of high heels. I only hope that we'll start seeing more mens' shoes with heels in the near future.

That would be this poster then :)

  3. I have a small confession to make... After my luck at finding the boots in my previous post, I realised when I went into New Look yesterday I didn't actually look at any of the other styles that were for sale! Just bee-lined for the ones my co-worker had displayed. So after some deliberation (and a shop assistant asking me if I needed any help choosing) I decided to buy these. I really liked the ring buckle detail. Considering they were only £35 to start with and I had a printed voucher from the web for 20% off (as I did yesterday lol) I'm pretty happy! Changed the heel tips on both pairs to steel tips myself for that 'click click' noise :)

  4. Especially with the holidays upon us, I'm sure returns of "wrong size" or "she didn't like them" won't attract any attention at all for the next 4-6 weeks. Buying like has an extra advantage now, since when stores are often at their most crowded time of the year, it may not be when you want to be doing your first public heel trying.

That's pretty much what I did a few days ago with a pair of heels... I knew my feet had shrunk (gone from size 10 to size 8.5 over the past few years) as most of my heels now need insoles for them to fit properly. Bought a pair of size 8's just to see if they fit, they did but a tad tight. Took them back the next day with the excuse 'they didn't fit her properly'. Got a 'no problem' response with a smile and got my money back straight away. Easy! :)

  5. Must be very satisfying that you were both able to get them identified, and also find a pair for yourself.

Absolutely! Didn't think I would find them until I saw the woman in ASDA lol. Now when the girl at work comes in tomorrow morning I'll have a little chuckle to myself :)

Very nice score on the boots for you Snoots...are those oxfords in your avatar? They look fanatastic as well.

Thanks bootmebaby :lmao: As for my avatar - yes they are oxfords, had them for years and are one of my favourite pairs of heels I have (my ex girlfriend said she loved them too, so I bought her a pair lol) posted a pic at the bottom.

The boots in your avatar are stunning! I love metal heels, and those are so high! I've read your thread trying to track them down, very nice score for you too matey :lmao: keep us updated!

  6. So a girl at work (who pretty much always wears very high heels, boots mainly) came into work wearing some new boots - and I LOVED them lol. Small platform, zip up the back and very high stiletto heel. Started scouring the tinterweb trying to find them but to no avail (there's no way I could ask her where she got them!) :) Then I was shopping at ASDA this afternoon after work and I saw a woman walking round in an identical pair! I complimented her and asked where she got them... "New Look" she said with a smile... I'd looked on their website of course whilst looking this week but didn't see them - store only apparently. Got home, walked into town (on-route saw ANOTHER girl wearing the same boots) and went to New Look... they were no-where to be seen! Dejected I came home and looked at the store locator and realised there was another New Look store at the local retail park a couple of miles from where I live! Jumped in the car, got there and went straight to the shoe section. Found 'em straight away and not only that, in a size 9 :lmao: I would have gone for a size 8 if needed (seems my heel wearing has shrunk my feet over the years, I started off in a size 10 lol) that happened to anyone else? Anyways, ramble over haha - and here's a few pics. They are the first 'fashion footwear' I've bought - and a first from a high street shop.

  7. I've got an iPhone4 that I use daily to access the site. Must say I was as amazed as you Tech when I got mine a few weeks ago after coming from a Nokia N95 8gb - it's an amazing creation lol. I don't find any differences accessing hhplace on my phone than on my PC, albeit a bit smaller! I can use all the features just the same :)

  8. It's been quite a while since I purchased some new footwear, and I've been looking for this boot for quite some time. Finally found them in stock at beverlyheels.com - so I thought I'd share a couple of pics now they're finally here :) Hope people like! post-25866-133522929281_thumb.jpg post-25866-133522929286_thumb.jpg Also ordered some pumps at the same time - with the P&P costs it would have been rude not to! I was rather shocked (and pleased!) with the height of the heel! Not sure they'd be great for walking in - haven't tried yet, just made sure they fit! post-25866-13352292929_thumb.jpg

  9. It seems the website I found them on is 'obsolete' (after a few e-mails to and from the 'site owner, Alternative Footwear, from whom I have bought before, and rate highly)

    http://www.elegantheels.com/

The answer was 'this website is in serious need of a revamp' or words to that effect. After some serious hours on g0.0gle I've not found this style, Love Lace, for sale anywhere, as the manufacturers do not make it anymore :)

I have found a lesser alternative, but I've been looking for those boots for a long time so I don't know.

  10. I've been looking for these boots for many, many months - and I've just found them for sale, in the UK, in my size.. Hurrah!! I'll wait till after my holiday until ordering, for fear of them sitting in the sorting office lol!

  11. Hi Greg and welcome

You're certainly in the right place if you're a heel lover - there's a wealth of information as you've already discovered! You say you wish you could wear 6" heels - have you ever worn heels before? It's all about practice and getting used to your new height - maybe you could start off with a smaller heel - say 3 - 4"? What style of heels do you like? Some are easier to walk in than others - for obvious reasons!

Myself I'm a big fan of thin heel stilettoes - the optimum (for me) being 5.5 - 6". I'm also a Size UK10 and there are plenty of websites that sell heels in that size, try:

    http://www.alternative-footwear.co.uk/shop.html

    http://www.bananashoes.com/

    http://www.fantasyheels.co.uk/

All of which stock shoes and boots in a UK10.

Have fun and I hope you find something you like! :)
