  1.

I like the style very much. Would not mind having my own pair :mecry:

It is unfortunate the pictures without flash are too dark...

Hmm that's a good point daniel... I've just looked on my phone and they are a bit dark. Maybe because my monitor at home is LED backlit and brightens everything up! Will take some with better lighting / flash later and compare. If they're a marked improvement I'll post a couple

  2. Not posted on this thread for a while and I've bought several pairs of shoes - but I wanted to share these! Bought these from Office a couple of weeks ago, called That's Life Black Satin. They were in the sale - reduced from £90 to £25 - and were the very last pair they had in stock (in my size, UK8 too!). I love 'em! 6" heel and 1" platform. Pain in the backside to get on, having no zip lol. So easy to walk in though - foot and ankle completely supported, let me know what you think! Second pic is with flash on to show satin glitter effect

  3. Hi. i have finally got to wear my new boots from howcool4u at home, at the insitance of my girlfriend, who i hope is gradually getting used to the idea of my liking heels - at home anyway.

I bought the knee high platform zip up boots in size 44. The size seems about right, perhaps on the lower end of the scale where it would be a large 43 from other manufacturers. The boots are not bad though, fairly comfortable, but a bit tight around the calves (though that could simply be my calves...)

I'll try to post some pics soon!

I bought some platform shoes from Howcool4u and they are really small - box says 41 but i would say they are more like a large 39. I've messaged them to see if I can return them...

  4. I'm pretty excited too lol. I've seen these boots in photos from bootshare but never investigated further. They have a made to measure option which looks tempting - but I'm keen to hear when/if you get a reply to your e-mail. At size 41 I would like the heel 1/2" higher but this isn't an option. If you get a decent response to your e-mail I might enquire - please post your findings TOWI Boots :wavey:

  5. Bought these in New Look today - couldn't resist as they were only £8! :)

They're my first pair of UK size 8 too - think my feet have shrunk through heel wearing lol, started off size 10... Not a bad thing at all as many high street stores only have heels up to size 8. Lovely jubbly :)

  6. Jess - could I ask what experience you have of other heel heights? I'm sure you must have had some other very high heels before you went for ballet boots! My point being - I'm looking at buying a pair of ballets myself and was wondering what the difference in wearing/walking was compared to say, 6"/6.5" stilettos? Any info would be much appreciated :)

  7. The "metal rod or tube" inside the stiletto heel needs to be more "rigid" or "stiff". Those are the proper words in the English language that are used to describe how to fix this type of problem. I dealt with this type of problem about 25 years ago.

Seems ballet heel manufacturers (or any high heels manufacturer in fact) should possibly try using carbon fibre 'rods or tubes' in their heels? Anyone know if this has been attempted? I'm a 5-axis machinist and have both machined CFRP (Carbon Fibre Re-inforced Plastic) and used it for cutting tool extensions etc. It's up to 4x stiffer than hardened steel in most applications.

Just a thought to throw out there :)

  8. Thought I'd pitch in my experiences concerning women and male heel wearing :)

The first person who learnt about my love of wearing heels was a female friend, some years ago now. She had known guys in the past with similar passions and she positively encouraged it (I was still living with the parents at that time and when I ordered new shoes and boots I got them delivered to her house :)) She said to her, there was nothing sexier than a guy in heels - it brings two different aspects together - the feminimity of the slender stilettos and the masculinity of the male form. Whenever I was at her place I would wear my heels - that's where I learnt to walk properly in them without breaking my ankles (never owned a pair of heels below 5" lol).

The second person who learnt of my heel wearing was my ex-girlfriend - completely different experience to my friend. I confessed to her, one drunken night, I love seeing women wearing high heels - so feminine - they way the make the legs look longer, the 'click click' sound a pair of thin metal-tipped heels makes on a hard surface etc. Later I also confessed I like wearing heels (and other 'clothing' etc - but this isn't the site for discussing that - see my avatar ) She didn't quite know what to say as I recall, I was just glad she didn't run a mile, she was more curious than appalled. Over time we talked about it more and she said she would like to see what I looked like 'dressed up' (I should note she wasn't one for wearing heels - she couldn't walk in them at all). So I showed her a couple of pairs in my collection, put a pair on and walked around a bit, nervously keeping an eye on her to gauge her reaction. It was a positive one I'm glad to say and in the weeks and months that followed, she got a kick out of my feminine side to the point where we bought his and her heels and would wear them round the house (she was jealous of me being able to walk around in my 6" heels far better than she could in 4" heels lol). I used to get told off when we went out for looking at women wearing heels walking down the street lol. It wasn't the woman I was looking at but the heels!

Relationship didn't last - for different reasons other than my 'likes' - but it was an eye opener to the fact there are women out there, not just who like a guy in heels, but also women who don't know they like a guy in heels until they're exposed to it. It has to be done delicately (I wouldn't recommend the drunken approach lol) but when it's a positive reaction it's a great feeling!

  9. These finally arrived today - Pleaser Domina 402 :) After checking the fit, fitted them with metal heel tips (naturally lol). Had some D'orsay heels before but only with 5" heels - loved the way they felt and sounded (gave a great sound walking on a hard floor!) so I bought these as they're 6" :)
