Hi Sharon, Great tips for washing pantyhose! I couldn't agree more with the avoiding zippers when in the washing machine with delicate nylons. When you go in the sea and salt gets on your pantyhose, is there a special way you wash the salt out? Do you dry out the salt before putting them in the washer? I know hand washing my pantyhose is the best way for longevity but I am too lazy too wash my pantyhose by hand. I have a special pantyhose washer bag I place all my pantyhose in before I place them in the washer. This prevents my other clothes from running roughshod with my delicates. Do you find you spend more money each year on pantyhose or on your boots Sharon? ........ I guess for Alexa & Jane, they spend minimal on their nylons and mainly on their sandals & heels unlike the two of us. In fact, I have almost had pantyhose & high heel boots on almost every day this year with the exception of the very hottest days in the summer or when I am doing a special activity like horseback riding or a sport. Hi everyone, I just got back from a business trip to Spain and didn't have access to the internet on a non-work computer until now. Everyone has gotten so quiet! I take it that with the onset of winter, outdoor adventure to water fountains, beaches and outdoor pools is too cold. It did sound like the three of you, Sharon, Jane, Alexa did have a fun, wet summer. Sharon, question for you. You also wear pantyhose a lot. How do you wash them after you get them all wet? Since you wet them so frequently, you probably have to wash them pretty frequently as well. What or how do you wash them without shortening their life span? Heidi

Hi Sharon, Jane, Alexa, I hope everyone had a fun Halloween! After carving up some spooky pumpkins with friends, I went to a costume dance party. I went as a sexy pirate wench. I wore a pirate hat, a low cut dress that ends in a mini skirt, suntan pantyhose with dark stockings over my pantyhose and neon green fishnets over my dark stockings along with a pair of knee high leather boots that had a 3" black heel. I also had on a pair of thick wool socks inside the boots for cushioning. The party was a blast! There was a large water fountain in a part of the dance hall and during parts of the dance, the water fountain would spray a very very light mist of water over anyone standing near the water fountain! I think that is something you three would have enjoyed had you been there. After all that dancing, my group of friends went back to a friends house. We had 6 girls and 5 guys. We watched a horror movie at the friends place in his home theater and as we watched the movie, one of the guys kept on trying to flirt with me and he kept on trying to get his hands on the zippers of my fur lined leather boots! He claimed he found my fishnets very alluring but there was no way I was going to let him get my boots unipped. LOL Did anyone else dress up for Halloween? If so, what did you wear? Heidi

Hi Sharon, Thank *you* for always promptly responding and keeping us up to date with your adventures Interesting experiment you did Sharon, seeing which item of clothes hold the most water. Now I too am curious, would your hoodie absorb the most water (possibility), your thick 140 denier pantyhose (maybe) or would your tall boots hold the most water (likely)? The pair of high heeled boots I have on at work today are actually one size larger than my real size. The reason for this is that I have on two pairs of thick pantyhose plus one pair of wool socks inside it for padding to offset the 3.5" block heels which I walk around in all day. I am guessing the volume of my boots would hold a lot of water although I would never ever get these expensive boots wet LOL Heidi

Hello Sharon, Jane, Alexa, Sharon, you sound like a person who TRULY knows how to have fun and enjoy life. While I myself am a person who likes to stay very dry and dress conservatively in my tight sweaters, skirts, multilayer pantyhose and knee high boots, if you were ever at the Moscow water festival, I would love to be standing on the sidelines watching you frolic in the water in that really cute outfit you just described. I can just imagine how much water a hoodie would absorb. It would act very much like a sponge! Ditto for your 140 denier tights. Tall knee high boots could hold over a liter of water each, if they are waterproof and nothing leaks out the zippers. It would also be fun watching you try to walk in your high heeled boots when they are super heavy and full of water ...... or perhaps you might be swimming in the water instead of walking with loaded boots Hypothetically, if you were at the Moscow water festival, would you keep everything on the entire time you are playing in the water or would you strip down to just bare essentials? ie - no hoodie, just a t-shirt I have also worn pantyhose at the beach! This past summer, my friends & I went to a resort with a beach. I wore a tank top, straw hat, cut off jeans shorts, two pairs of suntan pantyhose and a pair of tall Uggs. I was not planning on going in the water, just lying on the sand and enjoying the seabreeze. My upper body had sunscreen and was under a big beach umbrella while from the waist down, my body was exposed to the sun. However, with dual layer suntan pantyhose & tall Uggs, I was protected from sunburn. I wanted to wear high heels but I knew it would sink in the sand. The suntan pantyhose gave me perfect legs and most people didn't even know I was wearing pantyhose, they looked very natural. However, when I fell asleep, my friends pulled off my Uggs, discovered I had pantyhose on but couldn't persuade me to go with bare legs. LOL Heidi

Jane, it looks like you have a lot of fun walking around in the grass in your wet pantyhose and flip flops. Given the fact you were on the grass for the morning dew for so long that you got cold, I am surprised your pantyhose did not rip! You mentioned that it was not very thick nylons either. May I ask what brand it was that was so super durable? Alexa, you look like you would fit in very well at the Moscow water festival where people get to splash around in a public fountain. What outfit and what heels would you be wearing if you were attending that wet festival? An interesting thing about suntan pantyhose is that often times, others think you are going with bare legs unless they get very up close and personal or unless they touch your leg

Hi Sharon, Thank you for such a prompt reply! When I wear pantyhose under my skinny jeans, I find that the nylons help my skin tight skinny jeans slide on much easier then if I had to slide them on over my bare legs. Ditto for getting my skinny jeans off. Do you find that pantyhose helps with getting your jeans on and off as well? I take it that when pantyhose is wet, it tends to act like glue and not let your skinny jeans come off? I see you are very logical, double layering your pantyhose or a pantyhose/leggings combination only when it is very cold. Since I love to wear high heels and need padding for the heels, I double layer my pantyhose often. Today, I wore a nice skirt suit to work along with two pairs of thick black pantyhose, a pair of thick wool socks and a pair of leather fur lined knee high boots with a 3.5" block heel. All that padding made walking in these heels much more comfortable but it is almost 10pm at night and I still have my boots, wool socks and double layer pantyhose on! Everytime I unzip my boots, cool air gets in and I want to zip them back up again as I am so used to having hot legs. Hmm .... I still need to take my shower before bed tonight ...... Heidi

Hi Sharon & Jane, Sharon, I wouldn't say I like your sense of dress, I love it is more like it! Just like you, I am almost always found in one if not two or more pairs of pantyhose. When you wear jeans, do you wear pantyhose underneath? As you know, I sometimes perform. When singing on stage, I love to go for super sexy outfits, including tube top, mini skirt combinations. When I do that, I like to wear two pairs of pantyhose, partially for padding with heels but also to prevent people from getting a peek up my skirt as the stage is elevated from the audience and the people sitting near the front might get more then an eyeful if I do not wear opaque pantyhose under my mini skirts. Sharon, you mentioned that you wear classic black cotton and lycra leggings over your opaque pantyhose. Are those footless leggings? ........ I actually do not own any footless pantyhose as I love to wear high heels and need the padding inside my boots so my high heel boots are more comfortable. Have you ever tried wearing double layer pantyhose and a pair of thick socks inside your high heel boots? If not, you might want to give it a try, it is soooooooo much more comfortable that way! Jane, it looks like you are about to have some fun with coloured pantyhose! Red and blue sound delicious .......... It was interesting to note that when you wanted through the grass in your thin sheer pantyhose, grass actually got inside. Were you going to work when you crossed the grass? Did the grass get all prickly inside your pantyhose at work? ........ Hi Sharon, Jane! Hope to see you soon Alexa. Sharon, I couldn't agree with you more regarding thin stockings not feeling quite right! When wearing a skirt, stockings leave me feeling very exposed. With thick pantyhose or double layered thick pantyhose, I at feel like I am covered up and not going to be showing myself off everytime I bend down. I love wearing skirts and autumn / winter is another reason pantyhose is better then stockings. It helps prevent my private parts from frostbite Jane, Sharon, do let us know what different colour tights look like when they get wet! Jane, you sound like you had fun walking across wet grass in the morning! I had a similar experience. I was walking to work in my knee high boots with 3" heel over the lawn of my client's office. As I reached the front entrance,my black boots were all covered with wet grass! I was super glad the leather boots were waterproof as there was droplets of water all over them as well. I went into the restroom and used a wet paper towel to wipe off all the wet grass so I could at least look professional for my business meeting. I'm still working really hard to keep my feet warm and dry LOL Heidi

I find the look of pantyhose makes my legs look flawlessly smooth which I love plus they tease as it makes others wonder what I am hiding underneath. Tall boots make me look confident and also triggers others imagination of what is underneath the leather. It is especially good for you since you might have two looks. The dry look which will be one colour and the wet look, which will transform your entire outfit into another colour even though it is the same set of clothes Do your female friends prefer that you wear pantyhose or do they prefer stockings, which go only up to your thighs? It is a mere 8C over here in northwest Germany today. Thus today, I wore a sweaterdress to work along with a pencil skirt, three pairs of pantyhose and a pair of thick wool socks inside my knee high fur lined boots with 3 inch block heel. All this padding allows me to wear higher heels as I can have more padding without overheating. Hi everyone, Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to chat Sharon, Jane, Alexa. Jane, in response to your question of what it feels like to get wet, I'd have to say it felt strange. Everything felt so moist and my feet felt cold from the rainwater. It felt very different from hot bath water. I know you are trying to wear sandals as much as possible to give yourself an opportunity to get wet. I am trying to do the opposite LOL. I am wearing two pairs of pantyhose, one pair of thick wool socks and a pair of knee high boots with 3" heels today. I had them on at work and it was such a long day at work that I got home not too long ago and am too tired to wrestle them off for my evening shower, at least not yet. Plus I have gotten so used to having warm feet, I am afraid to remove my boots for fear my feet would get cold, very silly, I know! Sharon, your orientation does not bother me at all. Of course we are all still friends How do your female friends like the fact that you wear boots and thick tights a lot? Do they mind that you are usually very well covered up? ........... Some of the guys I know love bare legs and go crazy when I am all covered up in not just one pair of pantyhose but sometimes two pairs along with socks and tall boots. Hi everyone, Sharon, if you are in Munich next year when Oktoberfest is around, you might want to check it out. It is a great excuse for you to do up your makeup, put on hot dresses or Bavarian dresses, colourful pantyhose and high heel boots. You get to sing, dance, party, see performances and wet yourself with a lot of alcohol The hard part is trying to walk in your high heel boots after consuming a lot of alcohol hahaha As for rubbing bubble foam & shower gel on your clothes, pantyhose and boots when showering, do you find your clothes have the same scent as your shower gel and bubble foam? If your shower gel was bubble gum flavour, does your tights become bubble gum flavour too? ..... If so, well, your bf might enjoy that Heidi

Hi everyone, It is 10pm here but I finally have a few moments to myself. Work has been super busy. So good to see Sharon & Alexa here again. Hope Jane's schedule frees up soon. Regarding my mountain biking adventure in the rain with my guy friends and one other girl, I was wearing ankle socks and Puma sneakers. It got very soaked, as did my stretch pants. As I was pedalling towards the very end of the ride, we were pushing hard to get out of the rain. I could see water squirting out the holes at the side of my Pumas, the holes were initially designed for ventilation but now they were for getting water out of my shoes. However, water was getting into my shoes almost as fast as it was squirting out, due to the heavy rains. When I got home, I had to literally peel my wet pants off, just like peeling a peel off a banana. Was I ever wet that day. It sounds like everyone had fun with the recent bout of warm weather. Alexa, getting wet in rain water in wellies in Wales? Wetting yourself up to your waistband while at your friends place? Good thing you dried out before the delivery man came ...... I can just imagine if he arrived and you had wet spots on your clothing. He might miss out on a few wet spots but if there was a wet spot right in the middle of your jeans shorts between your legs, well, some guys just might get ideas (joking!) Hi everyone, Jane, Sharon, Alexa, I take it the three of you tend to work your hair dryer a lot more then I since it has to dry off your shoes as well. I hope you have high power blow dryers! Jane, the adventure with bubbles sounds fun. Have you ever purposely worn an A-line skirt knowing it can hold more air so it generates more bubbles when you go into the bath? Over the weekend, my guy friends took me mountain biking at a forest park. We were going to ride to a clearing in the middle of the forest, have a mini picnic and come back to the parking lot, get back in the SUVs and go home. The ride in was fun as was the picnic. As we were riding our full suspension mountain bikes out, it started to drizzle then it started to rain. I got pretty soaked! I had a waterproof windbreaker on but my stretch pants and my Puma trainers got totally soaked! My trainers got slippery as well so the grip on the pedal was not so good but now I know what you guys are talking about when you mention that your trainers got all wet! Got to RUSH back to work now LOL Heidi

Hi everyone, Sharon, the boots I was talking about is by Nine West with a heel that is what I call a small block heel that looks sort of conical. I do not know how many cm the shaft is as I never took a measuring tape to it although I know it goes to just below my knees. I take it that you like the taller boots Sharon as it allows you to hold more water in your boots when you bathe? Do the shafts of your boots even stay up once they are filled with water or does the water cause your tall boots to slouch down due to the weight of the bath water or pool water? Alexa, Sharon, Jane, how do you dry your clothes after getting everything so wet? I can see your dresses, shirts, jeans going into the dryer but what about your courts shoes or dress boots? How do you dry those? LOL Alexa, wait till your bf is showering, then you go in fully clothed and give him a big hug? ..... You really really know how to excite a guy! hahaha I will have to remember this if/when I get a new bf. Heidi

haha ..... I love your idea of having your heels at work next to your desk like sculptures Alexa! I now have one spare pair of high heeled boots at work. I wear a pair of fur lined knee high boots to work and in case they get too hot, I have a spare pair to change into. My spare pair has really high heels so if I want to look super tall for a presentation, I can wear that but change back into my more comfortable ones after the presentation.

Hi everyone, Jane, that MUST have been quite the experience going into the bath without changing a single item of your work clothes! Being a person that prefers to stay dry, I had not thought about the sensation you must get when all the air pockets in your clothes bursts underwater and air bubbles flood the bath water. Was the tickling sensation strong? Which item of clothing had the most air bubbles? Unlike the three of you, in order to stay dry, I purchased a new pair of knee high boots. The sole is rubbery for grip, it has a 3" heel for looks, the shaft is synthetic leather on the outside which is waterproof, the inside has a soft fur lining for comfort and the top has a fur ring which should further help keep it rather air tight. I am wearing these boots at work today with my skirt suit. So comfortable, so warm and so dry inside them now Heidi

Hello Jane, Sharon & hopefully Alexa when she returns, Jane, it sounds like you are warming up to the big event by wetting your sandals in the bath. When you get around to trying the 40 denier pantyhose with boots in either the bath or at work like Sharon, let us know. It does sound very very very risky! Especially if water is seeping out the zippers on your boots or squelshing out the tops of your court shoes. Perhaps you will just have to walk very slowly to keep quiet? Heidi

Hi everyone, Sharon, did 50 mL of water overflow in your court shoes rather quickly or did the courts have sufficient capacity to hold that much water in without spilling out over the sides? Sharon, very interesting message you posted there about what it is like to take different footwear into your bathtub or pool. I was very surprised by the suspense Uggs would give you as they manage to keep water out for several seconds!!! I take it you must love to take Uggs into the bath with you then. Jane, Alexa, have either of you ever worn Uggs into water? Jenn, I am the same as you! I like to keep myself very dry which is why I love my waterproof boots. What sort of heels do you usually wear and which pair is your favorite for days when it is wet (rain, sleet, snow, drizzle) outside? Today, at work, I wore a red dress with two pairs of opaque black pantyhose and knee high black boots with my favorite height, 3" heels. These boots have a grainy leather exterior and feel very airtight as well as waterproof thus if it drizzles when I go home this evening, I know my legs will stay very dry Heidi

Sharon, Jane, when you two switch from your high heel boots or high heel courts to your trainers, do you feel it takes you a few moments to adjust before you feel you are stable? Especially if you are in a body of water like a bathtub? I take it that water goes in and out of your high heeled courts and trainers very easily, especially if the trainers are shoes like the Adidas ClimaCool runners or any other trainers with mesh tops? ....... When you go into the bathtub with your knee high boots on, water does not get in until you submerge them over the top, right? Also, once water is in, water does not escape, right? ....... I am guessing boots feel very very different in water when compared to pumps or trainers? Sharon, you are going FULLY clothed in the bathtub? Do tell us about the entire outfit you plan to wear and what that experience was like. Alexa, it sounds like you might have been wet the longest this past weekend with your wellies wet for an entire day! I don't think I would be able to survive that LOL I am looking down at my feet right now all covered up in a pair of Uggs I switched to after work. They are so warm, comfy and dry at the moment but were damp for quite a while at work when I had on my high heel leather boots and double layer pantyhose and socks. Hello Sharon, Jane, Alexa, Jane, Sharon, your plan sounds interesting. Going into a bath or jacuzzi hot tub wearing pantyhose, socks & trainers, getting all wet, then removing your trainers and socks and switching to a pair of boots? Wow, do let us know when you try that! If you ever get access to your own private jacuzzi hot tub, you might want to try it there. With all the jets of water streaming out from the hot tub nozzles, it might make your play more fun Sharon, you mentioned in an earlier post that you wear boots to work often but when you come home you switch to pumps or trainers as you wish to avoid walking around the carpet of the house too long in just your pantyhose to avoid ruining them. When you switch from your knee high boots to your pumps, do you feel your feet all of a sudden feel very chilled as it needs to adjust to not having boots around them, keeping them warm? I spent the weekend clubbing at nights and attended a big barbecue party during the daytime. I almost surprised myself at being able to wear 3" heels for clubbing all night, although I had lots of help with 2 pairs of thick pantyhose and 1 pair of padded socks to start off the night. After dancing for what seemed like a long while, I added another pair of socks I had kept in my purse for even more padding to finish the night dancing on my feet instead of sitting on the sidelines. When I got home, my pantyhose was damp so I sort of know when you feel when you pour water into your courts. Heidi

The worst for me is stuck heels as its very embarrassing when it happens. Really dont like that.
