dr1819 Yeah, it happens sometimes. I remember a pair of stilettos (13 cm) that I bought in the largest number available (BR 39) without trying it. Here in Brazil, high heeled shoes as high as these, without plataforms, are very rare. Soon at home, the bad news: they did not fit! Had to return them to the shoe store... DeSalto

Some years ago, it was a very difficult decision to tell my wife about my love for wearing heels. When I decided to tell her, the second difficult decision: how to do it? No right answers for different couples. Not all women will accept their husbands wearing female shoes. As I said in a recent topic, some women love men wearing heels (they even get excited), some accept but don´t really like it, and some don´t accept. The bad news are that a lot of women fall in the 3rd option. In my case, all the heels I own are very feminine and high heeled. Does it mean I´m gay? You must be shure I´m not. I´m just a straight guy with a huge fetish for heels, and nothing else. But your wife, in the beggining, my be not so shure. It may take some time for her to get used with you wearing "that pink strappy 5 inch stiletto sandal". Or not. Who knows? You have to be ready to all the questions and doubts that will be arised. An advice: only the truth! Listen to your hart. You know your wife better than anyone here to take the right decision. DeSalto

Shyguy I´m not much into flats, but nice 5" pumps. I must say I disagree with your wife (although mine says the same): heels are not too many! My collection is about 40 pairs and growing - probably more woman´s shoes than male ones. Keep it growing. DeSalto

Guy N. Heels Nice explanation about "up the ante". Those heels are size US 12. By the way, you are right about the value of the shoes, at least for foreigners. Living in Brazil, I had to pay a lot more to get them - U$ 29,00 for the shoes (old price), U$ 22,00 (shipping) plus 60% of the price of the heels (custom taxes). The final price is something about U$ 70,00 Wineanddine I´m shure you will be very happy with your new heels. DeSalto

Dawn, Thank you. As you, I´m more a stiletto guy, but that blocked heels were bought in a very nice sale (about 8,00 USD) and they are really high (12,5 cmcm or 5 inches high). They are very comfortable too. dr 1819 No, I´m not a life guard . But would be very strange if I suddenly appear in my workplace with shaved legs. I don´t wear heels outdoors - that "pulled up" pants are just for the pics, so you can get a full view of the sandals. DeSalto

Ericge Thank you. Glad you liked them. Kennard I´m also a 41. As you, I´ve discovered that I can wear 39 opened sandals but not closed shoes. Depending on the store, a 39 sandal may be an almost perfect fit. Datelli is a good store to buy, since their 39 is more a 40, and they sell some pairs in 40. On the other side, Nativa, a store that sells very sexy stilettos here in Rio, have a smaller 39. Porto Alegre probably have lots of good shoestores - do as Flavio said, google for them. DeSalto

BeHeels Nice site/shop from yasmina! Not expensive too. About 5.75" heels - see my leopard print ankle strap pumps from Fredericks in another topic -as high as your green pump. Not hard too walk - as Dawn said: practice! DeSalto
