  1. I have voted for knee high boots, but that's not my only preference. It all started for me with heeled slides, as my hhplace name already indicates. And than I discovered my hidden passion for heeled boots. A few years ago I made the next step with buying my first pair of pumps, causing new excitement! And only two months ago, i saw a pair if ankle boots which were so attractive that I could not resist the temptation. My favourites for street heeling right now. So maybe I should have voted for them ? Anyway, my passion for heels is getting more widespread, and it looks like this trend will continue.

  2. I think it was the right way to ask your boss. Because company rules, whether or not they are formal or informal culture, can't be ignored. And with asking him, you showed respect for that. Whatever the outcome may be.

  3. I have never seen another man in heels (the only exception was a flamenco dancer). But should it happen, I am sure I will feel curious to know why he's wearing heels. And if it would be for the same reasons as me. I am not sure if I would start a conversation. Depends on the situation, further impression of the guy and if there are other people close or not.

  4. On one hand, I don't like it when heels are being associated only with being gay. This does not help to get wearing heels a little bit more accepted for guys. On the other hand, I would support this student too in his choise to wear what he likes. i don't see any reason why he should not have the freedom to wear high heels to school. It should not be a gender issue. And yes, he seems to have a problem to express himself in a clear way. Apparently this is a general problem of his generation, both in the US and in Europe. A very big "thank you very much" to all those politicians for cutting budgets for education........

  5. Very often cheap = crap, but it is nice to find some exceptions. As it can be disappointing to find the other exception which also exists: something (very) expensive which turns out to be crap too. I haven't had these experiences with high heels so far, but a few times with expensive shirts.

  6. What do high heel bootlovers in summer ? That's quite a conscientious question for me. I love heeled boots, but I love hot summer days too! Wearing wooden mules is also part of my passion and you won't go out in them below freezing point........ So it's good that we have four seasons and that will solve the dilemma (-:

  7. I don't know if this counts, but I drive in simulators and games on my PC one of which is http://www.omnibussimulator.de/e-simulator.htm........

Very interesting! I did not know that a simulator specific for buses existed.

OK, it may not be real driving, but you have your high heels on the pedals so in a way it counts.

About stretching your boots, in case they are made of real leather you may be able to stretch them by wearing them. Otherwise a shoemaker may be able to do it. With synthetic materials the chances are less good I guess.

  8. hi ! Also in Europe a lot of 5-6" in the shoe shops, especially peep toe stiletto pumps. Which is higher than I can remember in the last 30 years. It's great to watch girls wearing them. I haven't tried those myself, and I have my doubts if I could handle them. But I am very curious how it feels to walk on 6". At home I can handle 4" but on the street I don't feel secure enough. But I have been out in 3" several times.

  9. hi all,

I like simple, basic designs and plain colours. Decorations are OK, but not too many. Some examples of my favourites are the Dr. Scholl sandal and the classic pump.

Last week I received an advertising brochure from a shoe store chain. A lot of imitation Uggs and other winter boots on sale. But what really caught my attention was the picture of an ankle boot. And once again, a quite basic design. Yesterday I decided to check them out. They looked great so I could not resist trying them on. And they fitted very well. Which means they are mine now (-:

The heels are 2.5" which is not that high. But high enough to look and feel like heels and for me they are great for street heeling. But I will go for higher.....

  10. I think you made a great choise for these boots to go out in public for the first time. With 3" you feel you are definitely on heels. But not too high, so quiet "walkable" which is good for your self confidence. And you have chosen a relatively neutral, but stylish model in black. A good choise with your outfit.

  11. So who has driven in high heels? I often do, i like driving in heels Manual-shift or automatic? Manual shift How high of heels? 5 - 10 cm Platform? No How far? One day (more than 1000 km) in 6,5 cm heels, three hours in 10 cm (4 inch) Not yet in 5 inch because my highest heels are 4 inch. But i guess i will go higher....

  12. I voted for the feminine feeling. But like many others who already replied, there are more reasons for me. High heels look much more attractive than what is usually worn by men. They are sexy, and very often women look more attractive in heels as well. And there is my desire to try myself the shoes which attract me so much on ladies. It's not always the comfort. Walking in them can be tiring. But at least standing on heels gives me a good posture. It feels good anyway, and it's fun!
