  1. For heel heights - gotta be imperial for me. I'm a UK 70's/80's too fella so I use a right old mish mash of both: Height in inches Body weight in both (not lbs though) distance in miles but I can't suss yards so I use meters liquid in pints and litres other weights - lighter in grams. heavier in pounds I call 10pence two bob and I drink 0.57 of a litre of ale down the pub. :D

  2. Secreto, personally not a fan if suicide doors however (I think) with an RX-8 the rear passengers can't get out until the front doors are opened at least that's how the king cab utes (pickups) are over here

Hi, yeah you are right I went for a quick look at one yesterday you need to open the front doors first. I didn't realise that king cabs were like that too. Mind you I couldn't get one of those on my drive!

  3. What would I like to wear? What ever suited my clothes & the weather thay day. I expect ankle/ knee boots with jeans, dare I say this maybe the ahem flat mary-jane style shoes with a round to with shorts. Not really sure what strappy shoes would suit, probably a suit. If they're heeled though - 4 -4.5 inches narrow blade or stiletto (the ones where the heel runs down the back rather than curves in) would be my preference.

  4. Come on baby! I gonna get me a Mazda RX8 (6 speed) once I'm made redundant! I'm sure I should use the money for something sensible, but I know I have another job lined up. Currently though a Hyundi coupe SE, T reg (few years old), but dribbling over suicide doors & 146mph... Mind you I havn't asked the wife yet... Can you drive a new bathroom? :D

  5. I saw a pair similar to them in Oxfors St (London, UK) in the Jan sale for £35. They were in the sale because they only had one pair - a UK 3. Hmmm, life just 'aint fair sometimes! I really like them. Ages ago I went out with a girl who's friend had a flat riding boot equivalent. Although she was a 5, I had to try the gator with a pair of my own hh boots - ever since, I've always really liked them.

  6. I did the give up resolutions a few years ago, so this year I'm having a go. The classic three for me: 1/ Stop moking* 2/ Lose some weight** 3/ Get fit*** *this actually means cut down to about 10 a day instead of 20, If I can't do that then I'll have to give up **Gucci jeans only go to a 36, so I need to shed a few inches *** This means I will be able to walk briskly to the pub, without needed CPR

  7. I would loved to have been there, and your idea of having a load of women 'aeriating' the lawn...Oh what an idea

    HHDS

You saying that, I remember the first Reading Rock festival I went to. I was with a group of people of which 2 were goth girls, both of which would only wear their thigh high boots... It rained from start to finish... HHDS you would have been in your element - 3 days in thigh highs, in a field, in 6 inches of mud!

  8. I Try to look for bargains - much as though I love heels, I can't justify in my own mind spending a bomb for a totter in the street (when I'm being brave) or just walking round the house. Anyway if I ever spent more than the wife on shoes, she'd kill me! :D I buy a pair about every other month, I promised initially I'd keep my collection to less than 6 pairs, but I'm running at about 20 pairs at the minute. I'll put a few pairs on e-bay, whittle the numbers down and with the money from my old ones - I'll buy new!. I guess I spend £30 every other month, The most I've spent is £60 on a pair of Gibson tie shoes and £55 on the ones I wore out in London. On the wife though, I spent £100 on a Versace pair, and they get less wear than mine! The irony :(

  9. Somehow, I don't think I'll match some of the collections here, in style or number, but, here's a few pairs that I have or have had. I'll add more as we go along!

  10. I found lots of threads to a Shop or to web based shops, but not to lots of shops in an area or just a map to one goos shop!

I had to pass through Portsmouth (UK) the other day, and I passed a place called "United footwear". Parked up & went for a wander. Big place lots and lots of shoes mostly up to UK8. Most of them are plastic and at the cheaper end of the scale, BUT still a good colection. I left there, after buying a £10 pair of 4inch courts (in the sale) and a fetish pair of bright red 4 1/2 inch ankle books (£30!). In the same road a few paces away were two fashion shops, select & new look, also with some great heels in. This little find is in Fratton road with a map link below (car park by the shops). HHDS lots of courts!
