  1. Hello, I purchased a pair of size 12, black suede, Lolas from Classic Pumps a couple years ago. I have to say that they are one awesome pair of shoes. My size 12 runs from medium to large and the shoes are a little small on me. One thing that I do really dig about them is that their size to height ratio is retained on the larger sized shoe. If you like their appearance on the modeled foot then they look the same across the board. The quality is great and the customer service is top notch. AZShoe Nut

  2. Well, I do not have a best reaction but I do have a worst reaction. I was not the wearer in the worst reaction. I have not yet had the juevos to actually go out in public with heels on. Anyhow, I used to work for an aerospace company and was stuck in a room with some very closed minded, highly judgmental gals. Another gal, a secretary for the building manager, visited and related her story about her trip to Sedona from the weekend before. Sedona is a beautiful town in the red rocks north of Phoenix where there are a lot of open minded, spiritual people. She related her story of being in line with a nice looking, well-dressed man at a grocery store. When the man finished paying for his stuff he walked away with the sound of heels. She looked down to find him wearing four inch red pumps. She said that she gawked with disgust and could not believe the strange people that exist in the world today. Then all of them discussed how bad things were and what else should she expect from Sedona. Well, I don't think that the guy wearing the heels even knew about the disgust experienced behind him in Sedona but I sure did catch its blow. It was a really an unfortunate deal. You know I am sure that those gals had mentioned how they wished their husbands would go shopping with them. It is kind of an irony that they complain that their men would not go shopping with them but they would turn their nose up to a guy that would happily go shoe shopping with them. That is my worst experience with public heels. AZShoeNut

  3. Hello,

I have to second the recommendation for www.sexyshoes.com above. I have been buying shoes from them for what seems like at least ten years and they have always done well. I also recommend www.classicpumps.com. They have some really good shoes there and their service is top notch . I am pushing the limits at size 12 but still their Lola is one kick-a$$ shoe. Classic Pumps also has a lot of customer photos so you can get a really good idea of what you are buying.

Also on the recommend list is ebay. I search ebay typically at least once every other day. I have never had one problem and I have bought at least twenty five pairs of shoes that way. I really dig the pumps of the late eighties and that is just about the only place to find that stuff without buying fetish wear. (Not that there is a problem with fetish wear but they typically don't have "Comfy Tricot Lining" that Payless used at that time.)

On the avoid list I would recommend avoiding www.shoepalace.com. I have placed two orders there. The first one took about three months to arrive. They are located in Las Vegas (at least at that time) and I can fly there on the airlines in less than an hour so three months is way too long. I won a auction from Hong Kong on ebay and it took less than two months to arrive by ship. It took many weeks of phone calls to get a hold of them by phone and much BS to get my order. The other order never did arrive. I only placed the second order because I had been assured by somebody else that their experience was totally good and that I had a very unusual experience the first time. (I know my dumb fualt) Avoid them like the plague.

www.payless.com gets honorable mention. Their service is great but the web page is slow and most of the size 12 styles, in my opinion, suck.

So good luck and guessing by your size you probably have good luck.

  4. Hello, Thanks for the warm welcome. I think that this place is going to be really cool. As for why there are not more people from the US posting here, I am not sure. In my neck of the woods (or cactus) people do not typically celebrate their unique qualities. I think that most of the locals fear anything that makes them different. If that exists across the nation then I can see why there are not more people from the US here. As for me, I really think that this interest is pretty cool. I think that we have a gift that most guys don't get to experience. This forum is just what we need. So, I am looking forward to many more posts and some good discussions. AZShoeNut

  5. Best all time sighting... That could be a difficult one. I would have to say back in 1993 while attending Phoenix College. My location in my English 101 class was such that I could see out the door. Two or three times a week this gal would pass by wearing a pair of white four inch pumps with a small cutout at the top. The halls were perfect for the sound of the older, non-flexible, type of soles. I can still hear them in my mind as she would enter the building and then walk the full length of about 6 classrooms. That was my que to get a drink or go to the bathroom because she always stopped to socialize outside of her classroom where she would shift her weight back and fourth or lean one foot on the other. I wish I still sighted gals in heels like that on a regular basis. AZShoeNut

  6. Hello, Well, I have checked out the forums here a couple times over the last few months and it seems like this is a pretty cool place. I finally had a few spare minutes so I decided to join. I am a guy from Phoenix, Arizona, USA and I am 28 years old. I have been a shoe aficionado for at least 18 of those years. I do mechanical design for a living and I enjoy flying and outdoors type stuff in my spare time. I am looking forward to becoming an active member of this community. AZShoeNut
