  1. Hi guys! (Thanks Lion for pointing out this thread to me.) Yes, you haven't heard from me on the board for some time. I still check in now and then though, but I haven't had enough time to read al the threads. I'm spending a lot of time with my girlfriend nowedays... (You know how it goes... young couple in love etc. etc... ) But anyway.. Sorry to hear you're getting together on such short notice.. I wish I could be there, but I can't. We have a birthday party to go to on saturday which I really don't want to miss. So, I hope we can meet again maybe some other time soon. (Kind of starting to miss you guys :()

  2. hiya jeff

i am currently rebuilding my website (again) and i have found a new web site hosting service (lunarpages) thanks to this forum

so i will be moving my site by the end of the month hopefully....

glad u is ok...............how was your london visit ?

    Hey Richie,

My visit was very nice, thanks.. There's a little report in the "Real Life Shopping and Fun Meetings" forum. To bad you weren't there with us..

  3. (Note for people who didn't know: Tottenham Court Road is famous for having lots of electronics and computer shops on it, selling all manner of new and second-hand equipment - i.e., geek heaven!)

Oh darn! Now why didn't I know that when I was on my London trip 2,5 weeks ago.

  4. They do not seem to have updated their Size up site for ages -this would probably explain it.

Any idea if they have any new syles especially in larger sizes, and have they started accepting Credit Cards for online orders yet.

There are not many new styles on the site yet, only some new thigh-boots, and they seem to go at larger sizes. Also a lot of shoes have moved to the sales section now, so I suspect we can see more new styles soon. To bad they have only updated the Dutch version of their site, the English one hasn't been updates for ages.

They do accept creditcards now, however you need to print and fax your order with the cc-details and your signature. There's no secure site yet.

  5. Well, one idea would be to post your stories here on the forums. If they are to big for one post you can always split them up and post say a chapter each weak or so. Another idea is to make your own website devoted to these stories.

  6. After I wore them some time I decided to buy them and we had a verry nice conversation.. annybody who wants to buy high heels and is nervous about it go to silhouette it's the best.

She didn't by any chance tell you she sold the same boots to another guy November last year while there where about 8 more guys there browsing around the shop at the same time, now did she..

I have exactly the same boots, size 41.

  7. Ah, good one Tom.. I guess I didn't notice this because I always logon because it helps identifying new posts and to use the preferences in my profile. I think for those who don't do this yet it's best to just make a habbit of always loging on before doing stuf on the board, basically their are only things to gain from this and none to lose. You can even use the autologon feature, so you can't forget to logon.

  8. agree with Laurie on that one. The heels in the pics look higher than stated. could it be that they are measured in a diffrent way? Anyone who lives nearby who knows anything about it? They have some nice styles, but I don't wanna buy boots that look high and turn out to be only 4".

Uhhm, maybe you didn't read my previous post. I said they definately have some heels higher as 4", but they might not be on their site. I bought a pair of 5,5" from them about two years ago (at that time they were on the site, not any more  ). If you are not sure about the heelheight of a particular style in a particular size, just e-mail them and ask. I'm sure they'll be glad to provide you with any information you want.

  9. <table> tag and some others might indeed come in handy now and then and poses no security risc. I might add them sometime, for now you'll have to live with the board default of , , <u> and <pre>.

Anyway, the forums aren't meant to design webpages in, they are meant to post posts and to beautify the posts BBCode is sufficient imho.

  10. One question though. What is the Usergroups button supposed to be for?

One of the new board-features is to make people member of selected usergroups and give these groups certain rights or special forums that other people don't have. At the moment there's we don't use this feature except for the moderators group and forum.
  11. Actualy, it doesn't depend on the keyboard you have. It does depend on the keyboard you have setup in your operating system and the characterset you are using. And ofcourse also on the kind of OS you are using. I think at work under WinXP Ctrl-Alt-E is the Euro symbol.
